Casting Call: Shadow Hunters

PLOT: A constant battle is waged on earth between good and evil. But heaven and hell are not the only ones that battle. There is a group of warriors known as the Shadow Hunters. These warriors are chosen by destiny to fight the evil that threatens to take over the planet. Each time one of the hunters dies it's spirit leaves the body and finds a new host. Someone else worthy of containing the spirit. After the host is found a man known as the scout searchs until he finds that new host and recruits him into the Shadow Hunter's Society.

The evil that the society hunts and fights are listed below. You are free to be an evil creature or one of the hunters.

Evil beings: Vampires, werwolfs, Ghosts, Phantoms, Demons, Corrupted Humans.

Hunters: The hunters are humans with special abilities (Think Buffy the slayer) however each has one unique ability. That will be up to you but please nothing to powerful.

The story will start out at a enormous battle where all the hunters are destroyed. If you decided to be a hunter then you will start near the alley where the battle takes place. That way the spirit can find you right away. The scout (Poohlive) will then search you out.

Eyes: Black (once were blue)
INFO: Darius was once a normal human being. He was kind and loving. No one knows exactly what happened but one night he changed completely. He started to get meaner, snapping at even those he loved. Then in a fit of rage he killed his mother and father leaving only his sister Raven alive. His eyes went from their deep blue to black that night and have remained that way since. No one knows where he is now. He is seen from time to time but only in glances. He now has a plan to take over this measly city then on to the world.

Eyes: Deep Blue
INFO: Raven is the sole survivor of Darius's family. She doesn't understand why Darius has changed so much. But she loves her brother and knows that he had no control over the killing of her parents. She also knows she is the one person that he wouldn't hurt. The old Darius was still there and it was because of him that she was still alive. Her goal now is to save her real brother and
turn him back to normal. She only prays that she won't be to late.

Hi, this looks kinda cool, I'd consider joining but you mentioned special powers and unique abilities. I was wondering could you clarify? You mentioned buffy the vampire slayer, urmm heh, I've never seen that show, since I don't really watch TV. ;p

What I mean by special abilitie is increased strength, better reflexes, heigtened senses and a sixth sense for evil. However each individual can pick one extra ability that is unique to their character. It can be anything from being able to move things with your mind to having a photographic memory. That will be up to you but it can't be to pwerful. Does that help?

Hair: Short, black

Special Ability: Extremely Strong
Unique ability: Werewolf Regeneration

Info: Santiago had been in a local gang since he was a kid. It helped to teach him survival on the street. He had parents, but they were never around. In fact he was pretty sure they'd forgotten he even existed. He went home once, but his room had been turned into a storage closet, and there wasn't anything of his around anymore. So he went back to his gang. Being Hispanic, and extremely well muscled, he was well liked within his gang and always called in when stuff got rough. He isn't a martial artist, but he's a tough street fighter with nearly as much skill. Many might think him undisciplined and uneducated, but they would be incorrect. Santiago put himself through school, including highschool, but never got into college, he always disciplined himself around a strict code. Gang or no gang, there were things you just didn't do. But the gang was his family, or at least they were until he decided he was gonna get out and live on his own. Santiago was tired of hurting people and causing mayhem, it really wasn't him. But his gang and those in it felt he'd betrayed them and so they'd make him pay. First they caught him un-aware in his little studio apartment, tied him up and drug him out. They drove with him for sometime until they reached his grandparents house. Santiago's grandmother was the one person left in the world he could trust, and who always cared for him. The gang put an end to that as they drug him out and made him watch as they beat her to death. Enraged, by this Santiago broke the ropes holding him and began beating the ever living snot out of each one of those present. He was far from invincible, not caring to dodge or deflect hits, but he was far more powerful, and he took up a knife and slaughtered them all. By the time he had finished he was a bleeding pulp, having been beaten by baseball bats and rocks, as well as fists and feet. He stumbled out of the home and down the street, past an alleyway where he heard more fighting. It was at that moment that Santiago was chosen by a shadow to assist in the fight against evil. And so he was taken in by the scout to be trained further.

Hope this is ok. I know the information and history on him is kinda bad. But if you've any questions lemme know.

It should take a while to create a detailed character. History is important in this as well, not just powers. Take some time and think about it LBM.

The Scout is an immortale creature. Nothing can kill him, although he hasn't really tried out this particular ability. He was chosen to forsake the evil on earth. A group of friends of his were all the first shadow hunters. Each one of them excelling in a gift.
The scout doesn't fight though, he is simply a teacher, and a scholar. The Shadow hunters come to him for advice or help in anything. He's like a father, for lack of a better word.
He has grown rich over the centuries, and now has many places around the world, lofts and other things. Transportation, living quarters, all of them are not a problem.
Most people either call him Scout, or Jordan, since before hew as called on as an immortal, that was his name. Although, he barely remembers that life now.
He looks around 30, with short brown hair, olive skin, and hazel eyes. I'll detail his past a bit more later, once we get things started. As for now, we just need a few more characters

Appearance: Thallock stands at an even 6 ft., and has an athletic build. Ram horns grow from his head, and he has a large pair of bat wings. He dresses in dress pants and clean dress shoes, a belt, and an untucked, unbuttoned short-sleeved dress shirt. He also wears sunglasses, as light irritates his eyes to a paralyzing level.

Bio: Thallock was born into the world to spread chaos, and have a good time doing it. More on the playful end than true evil, he added to the Y2K panic, and other small evils across the world. He has the same physical abilities as the hunters
(IE: speed, strength) without their special and individual abilities.

Physical Features: Almost no real from, but rather a flowing humanoid-like black form... really more like lack of light instead of black.

Bio:

Valkir is a lurker. He does not necessarily choose to attack from the front, but instead wait in the shadows until his prey is weak or alone. His form allows him to virtually disappear into the darkness, but this ability is offset in the presence of strong light (i.e. sunlight, street lights, etc.). He takes no joy in pranks, games, or wreaking havoc. His sole intent is to kill Hunters, and any standing in the way of that task, even if it's one of his own alignment.

INFO: Karen is a police woman. She can always spot when someone is lying and has an uncanny ability to ferret out wrongdoing. Karen has a desire to protect the innocent and has a very strong personal moral code. She is also kind to animals.

Karen was driving the streets slowly in her cruiser, keeping an eye on the activity and making sure things were staying peaceable. Identifying the streets, the buildings, she couldn't help remembering her own youth, growing up in this area. Images and memories flickering in her mind. Herself as a little girl in pony tails bringing a stray kitten to feed. Rushing outside with a loaf of bread and some peanut butter for a homeless man. The wail of far off sirens and she prayed everyone would be safe. Her mother standing on a street corner waiting for her boyfriend for the next hour, fishnet stockings, short violently pink skirt and the street lights gleaming dully off her bleached hair.
A flicker of movement caught her eye, a flash of a blade. Stopping the car and reversing she looked down the alley. Seeing a major fight in progress, she reached for her radio and called for immediate assistance.

Ok, here is my idea for my character.

Name : Samuel Drake
Age : 27
Height : 6'5"
Weight: 248
Special Ability: Create small flames from his hands.

Background: Samuel was a normal kid growing up with a mother and father. Never got into any trouble, mostly came from a middle class upbringing . One night he was out to dinner with his parents. They were leaving the restuarant when a dark shadow came over his parents. All three of them were swept into an alley next to the building. The shadow revealed itself to be a demon that wanted to eat the souls of the three of them. Sam's father attacked the demon, telling Samuel to run. Sam was able to run down the alley, and once around the corner, dove into an open basement window. The demon looked for the boy once it was done draining his parents, but was not able to find him.

Samuel vowed to find out more about these creatures and exact revenge on the one that killed his parents. He studied the occult and was able to do some small magic tricks, the most powerful was to be able to create flames with his hands. They could be used to damage other creatures or to provided light in darkened areas. Through his contacts, he was able to find out that a large concentration of evil was meeting in an alley and was determined to be there.

Well, how does that sound? I would imagine from Lady Siren's first post that we would all have the enhanced abilities that would make us all better hunters, senses, strength , stamina ect..

General Info:

Died in 350 AD at the hands of a gladiator in the Amphitheatrum Flavium, better known as the Roman Coliseum.

This young woman was designated to have become a collector of souls, a demons premptive plans ruined that, when she was taken in death before she could be located.

Adam, the angel who was to recieve her, ended up having to make a 'arrangment' to get her back.

Gabriella was returned to Adam and quickly rose in the ranks to became a protector of children doing everything possible that she could to sooth the souls of the children that were put in her charge.

It was one of these children that caused her to be blacklisted from her order, even though she was the best in her field. She was supposed to take the child and she saw the need and want of the parents and against what she had sworn to do she allowed the child to slip away and remain. A valiant gesture but a fatal one as she needed to follow her mandates.  

Adam came to her and advised her that she would be on a 'trail' period. During this time she would be expected to fullfill all her collections.  Once again the child came up again, she couldn't bring herself to do it and she was brought before Adam again. This time, it came to light that the child was actually a demon that was possessing the child the entire time, for what purposes they did not discover before the child passed away into oblivion.

She lost her wings and was cast out as a immortal; not dead and yet not completely alive again, somewhere in between. Dealing with life on present day earth now, trying to find her way again.

Appearance: In his Demon form. Long Black hair. 6'2", medium build. black wings attached by his shoulder blades. his eyes change color depending on his mood.
In his Human form. simialar to his demon form, but no wings. usually wears mirrored sunglasses to hide the fact that his eyes change colors.
Abilities: Can change shape. other abilities dependant on whether he is currently in favor with the lords of hell. (which he currently is not)

Background: Alexzander is a corrupter and collector of souls. it was his job to seek out souls, and bring them to the side of hell however he sees fit. however, his very headstrong nature, Alexzander never really rose through the ranks of hell, despite his natural aptitude. Lately, Alexzander has come under more intense scrutiny by his masters, who watch his every move very carefully. Recently, he has spent more and more time on the physical plane, leaving the other demons in Hell to their own devices. However, he has just been summoned to a meeting in the very center of Hell, regarding his exploits on Earth...

Ability: Capable of turnning into a were bat or were wolf. But only for a short time or he will go berzerk or loose all of his energy

Description: Shadow (orginally named Joey) Came from an upper Family, yet to his father he was below the lower class because he never liked being rude

One night his father was acting way too strange, and an demon left his body ad went on a killing spree. Lucky for Joey he was out for the night. he soon found out his family was murderd by an demon that possesed his father. The only surviver of the bloody massacer was a servent and Joey's best friend Mai.

Soon after Joey changed his name to Shadow and vowed to hunt all evil until he finds the demon that killed his family. While traveling with Mai, Shadow learned a few good tricks for fighting demons, including his transforming and sencing demons in a 10 ft radius around him


Since he is still new at his powers, he can't bring out the full potential of his abilitys
