Casting Call from the Program

OK this thread is going to be like a cross between a reality TV show and X-Men. Basically a group of superpowered people are brought together to fight crime as part of a reality TV show. They do interviews and media whoring while kicking ass with the camera's rolling. Their HQ will be constantly monitored with TV Cameras and confessionals like the Real World. Basically the cameras will always be on all the time from missions and battles, to bar hopping and trying to get into someone else's pants. It's be Mystery Men meets the Osborns.

NAME: Zarak Khan

AGE: unknown (estimated between mid to late 30s)

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 6 feet tall, with raised cheekbones and long black hair that curl below his ears

SPECIALIZATION: Firearms and explosives

SUPER POWERS: Teleportation and the ability to pass through all solid objects except glass.

BACKGROUND: Zarak Khan was a sniper in the Talibaan militia in Afghanistan. On December 17th 2002, he was captured by US forces in Kabul and sent to Guantanamo Bay prison. It was in the prison cell that his mysterous powers were discovered. With the exception of glass, Khan could go through any solid object like a ghost! A special cube like glass prison was constructed to contain him.

On February 22, a top secret, mind-control experiment was performed on him and memory of his past was deleted. Today Zarak Khan works as a crime fighter, a hit-man for INTERPOL and remembers nothing of his past.

WEAKNESS: Can only remember events back to February 22, the date of experiment. When under stress, he will experience brief, sudden flashes of his violent past.

Thunderclap

aka Newell Freeport
Power type: Sonic boom generator and minor weather-mimicking abilities. Top ranked kickboxer, learning karate as well to bolster fighting capabilities. Background in science and mathematics, but works when not in costume as the lead singer/guitarist of a rock band...The Doldrums...

Background:
Newell had grown up without really falling into the whole comic-book trend so many of his friends were big on. He liked them, sure, but mostly his tastes ran to the more obscure, angst-riddled, small press publications that were more reality based than most. Then superheroes were revealed to be more real than everyone had been lead to believe, and he found himself learning about them just out of scientific curiosity...if nothing else.
Then came the accident.
No one knows, for sure, what happened...or why...or how...and especially not why Newell failed to be rendered a small pile of flesh and powdered bones after the new sonic accelerator had blown a gasket (so to speak) and sent the full power of its sound wave cascading through the lab instead of projecting it in a narrow beam along the safety shielded test chamber. All he really recalls is the terrible ringing in his head for days afterwards and having to mime or jot down everything in order to communicate with people while his hearing returned.
When it did, he'd found he was able to hear even better than before. It was almost like he sensed the very vibrations in the air and almost anticipated things before they were audible to even nearby dogs. This side effect also allowed him to sing and play with his band even better than ever, and made for some of the best mixing sessions they'd ever had as he could set the boards perfectly for whatever they were trying to achieve.
Then came the robbery.
Some of his friends said he had developed another power. To be where he shouldn't when he shouldn't. He'd laughed, but there was something to be said for the number of near car wrecks he'd had...or strange coincidental mishaps of one sort or another...but the day at the bank had been the deciding factor.
While waiting for a friend to cash a check, Newell'd caught sight of something odd. The next thing he knew, half-a-dozen thugs with big guns and masks had jumped the security officer and ordered all the tellers and bankers away from their desks and workstations. As the customers were being ordered to the center of the bank and to the floor, his friend had made a break for the door.
Naturally, he drew fire for this, but Newell dove across and knocked his friend aside, catching two rounds in the chest and flying over to land on his back. As he struck the floor, his hands had sparked with a flash of energy and then the sound they'd made on the faux marble reverberated a thousandfold...cracking the floor and tossing the bad guys offbalance enough for some offduty cops and a couple of Marines in the mix of customers to jump them and end the crisis.

Physical stats:
Newell Freeport is a slim, wiry guy who stands close to 6' when using good posture, with curly brown hair and warm, brown eyes.
He's straight, despite what the tabloids imply, but he has that sort of vaguely asexual look a lot of rockstars have and has a large following on both sides of the sexual fence.

Thunderclap works perfect for what I had in mind. I want a superhero thread that is not just heroics and shit. I want the inside look. I want Justice League meets Road Rules. Real World meets X-Men kind of vibe.
