Casting Call for The Witchwood

Greetings. Yesterday while writing the last installment of my first thread, The Witchwood, I found myself creating two characters called Hamish and Elspeth who promptly got into mischief of a very provocative nature. As I worked with them I realised that they might provide a couple of amusing roles for other writers to take on.

Though originally conceived as more or less supporting roles, I am not at all averse to sub-plots being developed that would feature this addictive pair more prominently.

Hamish is a big (of epic proportions, if you catch my drift) Gaelic castle guard who is a little simple-minded but very...able.

Elspeth is a canny and voracious handmaid whose eyes are ever watchful for amourous opportunity.

If anyone is interested in taking over this pair, please respond to me either here or in private message.

Be forewarned. If no one wants to write this pair, I will do it myself, and do you really want to hear more from me? *wink*

OK, this is how I see Hamish, and it is tempered with Niamh's own view of the man as well.

The man is quite large, 6 feet 5 inches in height, and weighing roughly 275 pounds, most of which is muscle. He is built like an ox, though as has already been established, some parts are more like a horse. He's slightly crude in his manner and speaks like a commoner, which he is. Though he makes the attempt to sound more formal when speaking to a noble. Pretty much think Hamish from Braveheart, which I am almost certain that is where Niamh got the character from in the first place. I think that about does it. Any questions?

Two New Writers Join Our Ranks

I am happy to announce that two new writers will be joining our ranks this week. Each of them has got some excellent ideas for new characters and exciting twists to the story. So please watch this space for character descriptions from StarChylde and Sigurd, our newest dwellers in the fell Witchwood.

At just under 6 feet tall, Ivy is by no means the shortest of women, but neither is she the tallest. Born into a home where those who allow themselves to be stepped on are stepped on , Ivy will take no disrespect lying down (so to speak). She may be said to be a bit more understanding of women, but that might have something to do with a certain kinship she feels between herself and other women.

She has long, dark brown hair and blue eyes that can either be as bright as the sun or as cold as ice depending on her mood. She is one of the castle's cooks and takes her job very seriously. The way to any man's heart, afterall, is through his stomach... and she does not intend to be alone in the world forever!

Ivy's had an eye for the guard Hamish for some time now, and may soon act on that, though she's yet to do anything more serious than offer the man a good meal every now and again. She would not, however, be adverse to having a distraction or two from chasing after Hamish... if there were to be any distractiions bold enough to present themselves.

Brought up by the crone of the woods. Khent has spent his entire life training to meet his own destiny. His mother, being one with the prophetic gifts taught young Khent of the Witchwood and of the Princess Aradia and the mysterious bond to his own destiny.

As the fates would have it, Khent gained the attention of the King of the Realm at an early age for his successful routing of a group of bandits attacking the royal carriage. Unbeknowst to him at this time, the young lady within the carriage was none other than Aradia. As a reward for his courage, the king sent Khent to train in the ways of a protector of the realm. Once he had attained knighthood, Khent was sent back to the Castle to serve. Through a few incidents Khent did see the princess, at various times, as well as in various states. But a letter from his mother calling him home, doused any chances of investigating his growing desires further.

Khent has lived near the Witchwood his entire life and although he knows of the horrors within, it has also left a burning curiosity within him.. He is a tall, blue eyed brown haired lad of a medium build and wears his hair long down his back. He has had erotic dreams about the princess since puberty and is incredibly impatient about the riddles and banter of his mother regarding his link to Aradia. Though loyal to his mother, partly out of fear. His light is not without color, and within him lurks a darkside that is revealed only when his emotions are stirred about Aradia.

Finaly doing the discription thing

I sort of interspurced this into the thread but for continuity control I'm puting it all here. This kind of thing can be inportent, a freind of mine rights short stories, over the 10 or so years she's been writeing, her main charactor has been described with 4 deferent Eye colers. So here we go.

Elspeth the handmaiden has a fairly compact form at 5 foot 4 in (I'm realy bad with distances so if thats not on the shortish side someone corect me) Her legs while not particularly long are most certenly shapely, and her breasts while not huge are quite ample on her small frame (34C but I hate to tell you standerdized bra sizes are a long way off, and you guys who don't seem to be satisfyed by anything less then a D cup can deal) Her long strait blond hair falls to just below her sholderblades, nicely frameing her fine facial structure and percing blue eyes. (Uck, I hate blonds, but such are the chalanges of roll playing. At least I can get my revenge buy takeing away the leggy part )

As you can tell if you've Elspeth is a bit over sexed (I'd say slut if I used that word, but I don't like to, mainly 'cuse no one ever calls a guy a slut) and is a compleate bitch. (At least when she's not trying to get laid) She also seems to like her men er...big. (wich I do not totaly understand, so she must like pain too, I gess thats what makes this dark fantacy ) I also coulden't help makeing her and an expert at inuendo, if you know what I mean, mainly becuse I could use the practice myself.

As for my self, I'm new to lit, but I've been roleplaying and gaimeing offline since 1993, and I'd like to think I'm dam good at it. This is mainly becuse I'm in to it to be part of a story, not to kill things or express my gothness... I've found that gaming has turned me into a half decent storyteller, and I hope that online RPing will turn me into a half decent writer. Hell the Idea of a Dislexic auther isn't totaly rediculess. Now the every freind I know can ID me from this post I'll shut up. They just need to remember that I'm the only one that freely admits to looking at porn, and they can't say anything without admiting it to...

Casting Changes and Some Simple Rules

Lyonhart, I am so glad you returned to us safely. Your wit and humour were greatly missed, and I am sure not just by me

I have a few announcements to make this morning, O able and loyal writers:

Due to artistic differences, Seumas will no longer be writing with us. In the coming days, I will be reorganizing a few things (which won't really affect anyone but Aradia, so don't worry). Any posts of his should just be ignored as if they are not there.

I think this is a good place to mention that communication is absolutely essential in a cooperative writing project like this one. You have to be willing to put in the time to discuss things and work things out before posting them. Our job is to surprise and entertain the readers: not each other. We are a team (though I absolutely hate using that word).

Also, to use standard roleplaying terminology, AUTO-HITTING is absolutely not allowed. You act for your character, and your character alone. You allow people to react. You do not pretend you are playing opposite a stuffed doll. Now, that said, small actions can be allowed. If you ask someone if they are tired, you are allowed to answer "yes, I am" for them in the post. Or if you hand someone a glass of wine, you are allowed to let them accept it. (If you are in doubt, please send a private message to the person you are interacting with and make sure you are not stepping on their toes or doing something they would be uncomfortable with. Especially in a thread with potential graphic sex, this is mandatory.) Some small latitude has to be given because of the nature of this medium. Sometimes days go by between posts, and we do not want the story to completely bog down. But never, never, never transport someone to another locality or "see them, capture them and tie them up" all in one post...without any interaction or input from your partner.

I'm sure everyone knows this. It is even posted in the rules at the head of the Sexual Roleplaying Board. But sometimes a little reminder is in order. The above is directed at no particular person. I am sure we have all been guilty of it at one time or another in our writing careers. But for new players that might join us in the weeks to come, I think it has to be set down in black and white to avoid misunderstandings.

OK...I think we are getting a new player in the next couple of days. Isn't that great? I love the wonderful people who seem to be drawn to this thead. I guess it answers a need in all of us to step into a magical world once in awhile

Lyonhart, again, I am so glad you were not injured in your car accident, and I am very happy that you are back with us! And thank you all for your hard work in this thread. You have done me proud.

Hello, everyone... I suppose as I read, that it has already been made known that I will take the role of the Dark Prince of the Forest. I plan to make many character decisions in the writing itself, so don't expect much from me here... but I will tell you that the name is changing, as will the character. Thanks to Niamh for allowing me to come aboard... I'll be starting off soon.

More good tidings

I feel we just get luckier and luckier. Please join me in welcoming yet another new writer (new to this board, but a veteran of others) to The Witchwood. Katerinna will be portraying an elven minion. When she proposed this excellent idea to me, I was immediately convinced that it would add to the richness of our story immensely. Now we will truly have the sense of an elven "kingdom". Katerinna is an excellent writer, and I think will broaden the scope of what Gage's character can do, since he will no longer have to wait around for Aradia in order to have a living, breathing character to interact with.

Who I am, Where I come from.

Hail and Fair greetings everyone..

My my Ill be blushing my self silly the way Niamh talks about me.


MY idea is to have one or two elven minions.. or as many as it will require.. As the Main character I would think a female.. who tries to pass off as a human. Such as a maid or cook that can keep an eye on the Princess in the castle.

There can be a host of elven servants that parade around the witchwood. so whenever the Elven lord has some need they do his bidding.. Simple enough.

So now for a more indepth look at the female elf servant.
Her name is Aradriel. If that is acceptable. She will be about 5'6 as elves tend to be lanky.. making her slightly higher than average but not monstrously tall. A pale complexion, almost white/blond hair. Blue eyes.. like a clear morning sky. For ambiguities sake she shall have to wear a coif that covers the point of her ears, and she will have a very sullen and submissive behaviour about her. Almost silent, so as not to draw attention to her elven lisp when she speaks. Elves are a very skinny race but she has managed to be quite full in the chest, and a tad wide in the hips.. making her almost human, thus the reason she was selected to be the one working in the castle.. a pretty little thing by any means..
As soon as everyohen agrees Ill start work on the Main Board ASAP!
