This thread is about a bounty hunter who is chasing a fugitive suspected of killing his girlfriend. The part of the fugitive, bounty hunter and brother of the 'dead girl' have been taken.

But we are getting into the part of the story where we could use someone to play the girl who is, it will come out, not dead but has found out something about her employer (also the fugitive's employer) and has been kidnapped and her death faked so that they can get back a piece of evidence she has. She wont talk and they went out and destroyed her boyfriend's reputation and pinned the murder on him thinking she gave it to him. They helped get bail made and then set him up at a motel, intending to confront him and get the evidence, killing him and making it look like he committed suicide over his grief for the murder.

*whew*

The boyfriend escapes and is on the run with the bounty hunter and the brother after him.

I also need someone to play the employer (editor of a big magazine) and the one who kidnapped her and faked the murder.

Another female to play a bad girl, the employer's assistant and hip deep in this mess and loving it would be great as well.

Players:

Tanya King aka The Man Hunter--BEL

Brandon Smythe (fugitive)--Rhovan

Hank (no last name yet) (brother)--Vergis

Brandon's Girlfriend and supposed murder victum--DeliciousMaiden

Employer and mastermind--catlover

Personal assistant and partner to employer---open

If you are interested please post it in this thread as well as a char profile and pm me if any questions about the plot.

Thanks

OOC - Re: Jill

Hiya,

Been reading along .... this sounds fascinating.

I'd love to give Jill a go, though I'm not clear exactly what you're looking for.

Younger than her bro ... party girl ( club reference ).

Let me know via PM or here if you want me to give it a go?

Thanks ... but either way good luck with it!

I'll play the employer - thought of it when you first started the thread - will post tiomnorrow if i may

Welcome to both of you and thanks for joining the thread. We may have to get another Smythe for the part of the fugitive since peterpan felt he could not keep up with the fast pace.

Definatly going to need a new fugitive. Anyone out there want to take up the role? Only one post has been made for him and whoever takes it can make the char into whatever they like.

Character Profile

Name: Jill

Age: 24

Height: 5 ft 5
Hair : Blonde, long, thick
Eyes: Blue

Physique:

Lithe, fit body.
Small waist and slim hips.
Firm full breasts - 36C

Basic Information:

Jill had been working at the magazine for 9 months prior to her murder.
Her main responsibility was the "Society Section" and of course, publicity...

Eager for a mention in the magazine, companies would send Jill "samples" of their latest cosmetic products, invitations to their openings and even a selection of their new lines of clothing.
A line in her column, they knew would boost their sales.
And then if she offered to run a feature...
Jill's endorsement had a magical touch to a product's turn over.

And Jill had looked the part too!
She seemed to have it all!
Blonde, buxom and brainy...
But it was her intelligence, rather than her looks that got her into trouble!

Her boss knew that she was much more than the "bimbo" he had first assumed.
The circulation and turn over of his magazine proved that!
Figures could not be argued with.
And yet ... he had underestimated her.
He had allowed himself to be caught up with the "good time girl image" and forgotten what was underneath ...

Perhaps that was why he got careless?
Perhaps that was why Jill had gradually pieced the clues together?
Perhaps that was why she had managed to get evidence of what was going on?
And when he finally realised ... it was too late ... Jill knew ...
And that left him with only one option ...

He had had to do it!

Query?

Sooo... the reason for the kidnap is just the sexual harrassment suit?

There's no "evidence" as such?

That seems to contradict my OOC and previous brief re: the story, but I can go with that if it's agreed?

DM x
:rose:

My fault, I should have had you two get together on this. Lets add that Jill, because she either was unsure of her suit being successful against such powerful attorneys as her employer has or because she wanted to be sure the man went down....did some snooping and came up with something against him that would do more than even a sexual harrassment case.

If thats okay with you two.

re: Jill

She's supposed to have been working there a while isn't she?

Not just harrassed on her first assignment and ran for the law straight away?

I didn't want her to be some bimbo.
Although obviously her boss might "take advantage" of the fact he kidnaps her ...

Still confused though.

My OOC made her into a successful business woman ...

Just let me know what way you want me to play this ...

Play it the way you would, DM. Your char is fine. I read catlover's post and we do need to get on the same page.

Can you pm me so we can work this out?

Sure thing ... PM on its way ...

This is YOUR thread BEL .... I'll play it any way you want...

Brandon Smythe?

Alrighty. From the looks of it, you are lacking this character. Or rather, lacking a person to play this character. As such, I shall attempt to help!

Believe you me, I am good at being framed. ::cracks knuckles::

Gona throw up some OOC stuff, and then you can let me know if I should play, or get the hell out. And I am working from Peterpan's impressive post.

Brandon Smythe.
Trim, like a runner or a swimmer. Defined. Strong jaw, strong nose, high cheek bones. His blue eyes shimmered with an un-expressed laughter. His hair always seemed wind blown, even if he had been inside all day. It was light brown hair, and as such, he kept his face smooth and hair free. It just doesn't work out to have light colored facial hair.

Brandon had an eye on him, yes he did. He was a photographer by trade -- made his start with a tabloid. Then someone relized he wasn't another nut with a polaroid. He was a nut with a Kodak. But he showed talent, and he always seemed to be on the scene for the best photo shoots. First at the big fires, only one in the middle of a soccer riot, he did it all. And he did it with what could only be called a reckless abandon of his own safety.

Being British, he had spent lots of time learning foreign languages. He wasn't some arrogant Yank that thought everyone should speak their language. He knew he was smarter than most people he met, and as such, he was a prick. He both literally and metaphorically looked down his nose at everyone. Stupid big nose. Least he didn't get his uncles last name with the damn nose.

Not only has he gotten some great local shots of just about everything, but Brandon has also managed to weasel himself into every foreign war he could get to. And he wasn't told to leave Iraq like Geraldo. No, he just had an interesting penchant to capture death in still frames. He almost went to work for National Geographic to photograph the lions eating anything they could catch, but then he met her.

He met Jill. He angered Jill. But she called him back. So he pissed her off again. Then she ran into him in a Star Bucks. So he didn't piss her off this time, and it turned out she had a great laugh. That was all that registered from that trip. Later that day, he pissed her off again.

Three days later he finally caught up to her, and they really started to talk. He took her picture, and for the first time ever, he felt it was perfect. Wait...he had never taken a perfect picture before. Then he was hers, and she knew it. He swooned big time, he even slapped the back of his hand to his head and acted as if to fall. Seems she swooned too, and while he never understood it, he didn't mind it one bit.

They had been together a long time after that. But she's dead now, and he is running scared. See, he had pissed her off again, which wasn't unusual. It wasn't that he was rude, he just has a habit of manipulating people, and she can see right through him. He thinks a bad thought and she's on his case like ugly on a gorilla. He didn't mind...he couldn't help the bullshit, and he both needed and wanted her help. He stormed out in a huff after his pissed her off.

You see, she was sun bathing, and he took a picture of her. Leaning back, covered in a thin sheen of sweat and oil, legs crossed slightly. She told him to stop taking pictures.

To think! She told a photographer to stop taking pictures! It's like telling a fish to stop swimming! Or a bird to stop singing!

He set the camera down, and walked off, as she had said everything but 'sod off,' in that one little sentence. An hour and a half later, he got arrested at Star Bucks while flirting with the openly gay cashier in an attempt to get the employee discount.

He sat around for quite awhile, not sure what was going on. Then they started showing him pictures. Of Jill, which wasn't that odd. Then they showed a picture of Jill dead, and that was quite odd indeed.

He folded in on himself and stopped talking, right through the booking and the arraignment. Then he was out on bail, going to a motel with his boss. That was nice...Brandon wanted a nice shower, a nice cry, and had every intent to scream his injustice at the world until his voice gave out of he got arrested again.

Those plans changed when the men showed up at his door, and he had to run, fleeing into the night. That was the last time he was seen for some time.

And now that I look at it, that was a book. Well, let me know if ya want me.

Great OOC and thanks for joining. Remember you are the one leading us on a chase so use your imagiation.

Welcome to the thread!

Evidence

Hiya all!

As per request, I'm running with the sexual harrassment theme.

I thought the keydrive would be an interesting form of evidence... catlover can fill in the details of what Jill might have found on Mr Taylor's laptop ... and I can edit out any comments about that as requested!

Nice post Rhovan and welcome! {{{huggs}}}

Remember that unbeknown to Brandon, those key's he's chucking around hold the evidence needed to put Mr Taylor away for good!

Hope this suits everyone ... have my finger hovering over the edit button if not!

LOL

It was a wonderful post DM, please dont change a thing. You brought everything together very nicely and I thank you.

Vergis, hon? Where be you? Tanya and Hank have a club to go break up. lol

Keydrive

I know that there will be many out there more technically minded than I, but for clarity, I'll post what I meant by the term KEYDRIVE in my post ... hoping that I got the technical facts of this one right, as it's a gadget I've only just learned to use myself!

Jill's key drive is a form of storing information like a floppy, but with much more memory and a much quicker download time.
It is plastic and metal and is topped with metal rings so it can easily be added to a set of keys.

At a casual glance, it would look similar to one of your standard automatic car keys, but if you look carefully, it has a metal tip, which will fit a USB port on yoru computer or laptop.

Once plugged in, the computer will automatically recognise it as another hard drive and create an shortcut a letter and labelling it REMOVEABLE DRIVE.

BUT

When even when you close the drive down fully and remove it, that icon will remain.

My intent was that Mr Taylor returned after Jill got into his computer the second time and that when he went to save his open document WHAM!
He'd see the icon there and know that someone had been copying stuff from his laptop.
He'd be bound to work out who ... and why.

These "removeable drives" come in all shapes and sizes, so Mr Taylor would not know exactly what he was looking for!

Information is also easy to copy over onto another hard drive.
He might assume Jill could have done that ... hence the need to frame the boyfriend ... so he couldn't access the information!

Hope this is useful for readers and writers alike.

Sorry for sluffing this thread yesterday guys, RL has been pretty bad lately, lots of stuff going on..but you guys have been doing great. Will post today.

Jill Taylor

OK ... so Jill's been abducted ... I will leave how and by who to the "badguys".

This brings her into the "present" of the story.

Will follow the lead of my "abductors" to react to what happens to her from this time on ... ( I made her unconscious - whether by drugs or violence ... or any other idea that springs into your evil minds is up to you )

Ummm... such intrigue!

Great posting everyone.

Catlover Jill doesnt have the device so your guy couldn't find it on her. She hooked it on Bradon's keys before she left the house and it's now locked up in a post office mailbox. Can you please edit that and even have your guy threaten to get the info out of her anyway he can. Will be a reason to keep her alive too and why you had to fake her death. Thanks, hon.
