This is a game that takes place in our modern world, but with a bit more sophisticated technology. Think Blade but with demons instead of vampires. Here's a bit more info:
According to the Legend of Lucifer:
In the time before time, the Planes of Existence were in balance, watched over by the Elder Gods. But dark days were ahead. One of their own, Lord Lucifer, became consumed by all seven deadly sins, though the precise origins of this are unclear. It is said he was transformed into a terrible beast, overcome by his own inner darkness. In the final battle of the Heavens, Lucifer was locked away in another dimension of total darkness, but not before spilling massive amounts of his blood upon the Earth. Everything the darkblood touched was mutated into something hideous, and every living creature touched by the blood became what would eventually be known as demonic entities... Demons.
In the final decision of the Gods, they spilt their own blood to counter Lucifer's, and then locked themselves away as well, deciding they had become too corrupt to watch over the world any longer. The earth was left without any divine protection, and it plummeted even further into darkness. Their attempt to counter Lucifer's darkblood hadn't been entirely successful -- there were survivors, and the demons multiplied, reproduced.
Eventually, a group of warriors emerged, having located some of the divine blood that had been spilt, and fused it with darkblood to make a special serum. One drop of this serum made a bottle of normal water become Holy Water. Dipping swords and axes and armor and shields into this water during construction proved extremely effective against the dark ones, and finally the tables turned.
Thus was born the path of the Demon Hunter...
So, now it's modern day, and the fight against demons is still going. They have evolved and can blend in with humans, only detectable by their dark auras if looked at with a magical eye or a special scope. This takes place in Los Angeles, and your characters can either be a member of my character's crew or a loner who joins later.
My character is actually a half-demon, his human mother being raped by a demonic overlord. He was born in the early 1900s in a Japanese fishing village, his darkblood allowing him to remain young. He never did find his father, but spent his entire life searching for revenge. For the rape had left his mother deathly ill after childbirth, and he watched his mother breathe her last breathe when he was only seven. He spent the next hundred years on a quest for vengeance, one he still pursues to this day.
So, make your characters, and either have them already apart of the team or a potential recruit. I am not going to post a bio since I've already said what I would put for it above, lol.
Name: Tokomoto Kazuma-juku (referred to as Kazuma the Darkslayer)
Age: 107
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Powers: In addition to enhanced reflexes and strength, speed, and stamina, Kazuma can harness a black energy to form bolts, blasts, or spheres. He is also a master of several forms of martial arts, and his katana was made with a special version of Holy Water so it wouldn't harm his hybrid blood.
