Casting Call.... A Whodunit?

It's the Tenth High School Reunion of Woodyvale High! But Biff Anderson, high school jock and class president, is found strangled and floating in the pool!

Come on everyone and show your stuff as a crime solver!

Clues will be layed out and you, as the guests, are held in town by the police for an extended visit. Sadly the police department consists of four police officers, so that visit may take a looooong while, unless you slove it for them!

Nice idea. I might have to make some time for this one...

Here's a prelim Character, but I'm not signing anything just yet...

Name: Jonathon Focker (I just had to....)
Age: 27.
Gender: Male (duh...)

Current Bio: Jonathon has made it big in the film industry...or at least as big as you can without having your face ever in a movie, or your name in big letters. He's a screenplay writer, and a fairly good one, though he has a habit of being repetitive (think Kevin Williamson--I think that's his name, the one who wrote "Scream" and "I know what you did...")
He's gotten used to his new life, especially the money, as it allows him to live comfortably. The business had also awarded him some of the respect he always wanted. He's a "everyone knows me" kind of guys around the set and at home with his actress wife and two kids.

High School Bio: Jonathon was quiet, and very plain-looking, an everyday Joe. In fact, if the jocks hadn't taken time to make fun of his name, he never would have gotten any particular recognition at all, which at times seemed like a blessing. High School would have been total Hell had he not been good friends with the Starting Offensive tackle, a big guy named Tony Blassic, who took up for him and eventually got all his jock buddies to let John be invisible again.

Just a start. i figured, smart guy, but someone I can have fun with. Especially the Focker part.

I am thinking of making it a smaller space tho, rather than the high school reunion(which seems to be too big of a cast for what I had in mind from the response).

Do you guys mind switching to a community theater production of a small play?

The theatre play angle works well. Problem with a thread like this is hat it will require total collaboration from its authors. Too little communication will kill it. And to keep from ruining it for anyone who might be reading and not involved, we'd have to keep it on a PM basis, which usually works best anyway.
As fo the dirty details you requested, you'll have to be more specific, and they may depend on the angle we end up taking. All the High School information goes out the window when the medium changes from the reunion to the theatre.

A bit of a recluse. In high school, he always hung around with the skaters and the punks, wearing similar clothing and trying to act as cool as he could.
As he grew up, he had a love for theatre, but this love was short lived. He couldn't act, and what's worse he didn't know the first thing about theatre. He stuck with it though, and found he loved the technical side of it even more than onstage.
Is now a stage manager, working for the small company. Happy for the show, and himself. Still dresses in dark clothes (but now it's required, which he's happy about) and tries to act much cooler than he is, but who doesn't?

Bio: In high school, Jason was a jock. He was captain of the varsity track team and point guard on the varsity basketball team. He dated a cheerleader and hung out with the poular crowd. Although he wasn't necessarily mean to the unpopular kids, he wasn't friends with them either. Most of the time, he would just ignore them. After going to college on a basketball scholarship and graduating with a degree in communications and a minor in journalism, he came back to the town and became the sports reporter for the local television news station. He enjoys the job and perks that come with it.

After leaving highschool she went to college in Europe becoming a famous author and successful Psycologist.

Given the size of the little group we have here, I would have thought that the theatre idea would have worked better, but the bios are pointing toward more fun with the High School Reunion.
Not my call though. Just pointing that out. It seems odd that so many former High School classmates would all work together on the same play.

Betty (Reeves) Anderson was the Homecoming Queen and married Biff when he came back from college. A bright and outgoing girl in High School she's faded quite a bit and is withdrawn and shy.


Sheriff Neils is a only a decade older than the rest of you, was a deupty and remembers rousting you when in high school. A seemingly easy going guy he's understaffed for something like this and has forbidden any of you to leave town until it's straghtened out.

Bio: Eddie used to be a shy, withdrawn person in high school and was always studying, reading books and doing everything academic. He was what was used to be called a nerd and stayed by himself. As soon as he was out of high school however he became an outgoing person. He has become a reporter in New York and loves his job more than anything although he is working on a novel he hopes to get published.
