Tim smiled as he ended his call... sitting on his phone down on the table of the charter jet... listening to the engines hum as it flew closer to its destination. His life had taken an extreme turn since college. He lived a reserved life through college, studying intently, dating infrequently. He remembered those days as the "learning stage", paving the way for the success he enjoyed today.

He married quickly out of college to a gold digging woman, but she had little patience to wait. She slept around often and they divorced after he found her in bed one night with one of his co-workers. He vowed that he would make her jealous and wish she had just waited for him. That he did… quickly moving through sales positions within his company until he could start his own technology company in the Dallas area. His company flourished in no time… making him a millionaire many times over by the time he was in his 40’s.

Now 44, he could relax a little more and treated himself to get-aways. The plane made a turn into its decent and landed at Bader Field in Atlantic City. He had two vices that still held his attention… gambling and beautiful companions. Long were the days of looking for a wife, now he looked for fun. Whether it was in bed, or high adventure outings… he just wanted someone to do things with and not worry about attachment. Many of the ladies in his life were just in it for the money. He had plenty and would lavish them… then dispose of them.

The doors opened and his limo was waiting… rushing him to the Tropicana. It was one of his favorite sites and there always seemed to be beautiful women there for him to pick from to be his “lucky charm” for the night. In no time they arrived at the casino. The manager meeting him at the door as always… with a fake smile and a handshake. Tim told him he would be over at the roulette table shortly.

Sipping his scotch, Tim walked the floor… a few ladies catching his eye, but not really finding the one felt he had to have by his side. He moved through the slots area… looking down the row. There she was… he know she was the one for the night. He walked up behind her as she sat at the penny slots.

Leaning over he said to her, “You’ll never get rich sitting at this machine.” with a chuckle.

It was the Friday of a holiday weekend and Jayne found herself left in the city while all her friends were out of town seeing family. She did not know why she thought but late that afternoon she found herself on a bus driving down to AC. She had checked in to one of the resrot style hotels and after having just dumped her bag on the suitcase she took herself downstairs into the casino. She walked around and finally found an empty machine, pulling the stool away and sitting on it she grabbed her pennys and started to play.

She had been there about 30 minutes and then she heard a voice behind her. She turned back and smiled at the guy who stood behind her. "Well I dont think I will get rich in this place anyway." Turning back to the machine she put another penny into the machine.

Tim chuckled... knowing this lovely lady might be a bit of a challenge, but he liked the chase.

"It's all a matter of playing the correct odds and being willing to take a risk sometimes." he smiled and looked into her eyes, "A calculated risk of course."

He had her attention as she stopped plugging pennies into the machine. Watching her eyes looking up and down. His outfit simple, jeans, white dress shirt, and a black blazer. It accentuated his 6' frame and showed just a bit of his athletic build with his sandy blonde hair.

Extending his hand and taking hers... feeling her soft skin. "Allow me to introduce myself... Tim Wright from Dallas. I flew in for the weekend for some gambling and entertainment." kissing her hand softly...

"I'll make you a deal... join me and if we don't quadruple your money by the end of the night... I'll pay you 10 times what you started with."

His voice dripped with confidence, but he knew he could fulfill his promise. Winning or losing, with this beauty by his side, he knew he could have a wonderful time.

He could see the skeptic nature in her eyes... pulling out a handful of $100 bills to show her.

"I'm good for the bet... trust me." he said with a smile...

Jayne turned around, having put her last penny into the machine and watched it the machine spin and once again nothing and she smiled up at him and shrugged, "well I am all out of pennies," she glanced over him. "So, Tim Wright from Dallas, what do you play?" Glancing down she saw the money in his hand and smiled, "thats a lot of pennies." She added, though she already knew in her head that this guy never did play on the penny machines.
