What if someone did something they shouldn't and then lied about it? Maybe something as simple as flashing someone, maybe a bit further out and having sex with a coworker. Ordinarily, doing such things will get one into trouble. However, what if the person committing the act had built up a reserve of trust? Maybe the person has been the perfect person, never breaking a rule. What if, for the person's entire life, they had behaved correctly. But then, they decided, just once, in an act that would never be repeated, to break the rules.
Now, any person or people involved might consider reporting the person. However, this person has built up so much trust that if they just blatantly lied, people would believe them. In fact, they would be believed over this other person, despite this other person not having a reputation as a liar. Attempts to catch them repeating these actions to prove guilt would be unsuccessful.
I'm not sure what the act would be, but I'd definitely love to read a story about the person committing such an act and then getting away with it due to never having done anything like it before (and never doing it again). Someone write it, please.
