Casanova Carl

So, let me run this by ya...

Carl is a shy, quiet man. He feels awkward around women and it shows in his clumsy behavior when near them. He feels women "secretly" laugh and joke about him because of his clumsy behavior. Though he still lusts for a wide variety of women, he secretly loathes them. He feels his behavior is their fault for being so beautiful and "out of reach".

One day Carl desides to tap into the office's net access. (Could be AOL or AIMessenger, Yahoo, MSN, or even a community like Lit.) On there, he finds it's much easier to talk to women. He's suave and a lady's man when on the net.

(Hence why I titled this the way I did. A seemingly "common" man "becomes" Casanova in his own mind...)

After a while, he discovers that some of the women he talks to online work in the same office as him. (How, I do not know yet.) They confide in him and feel comfortable talking to him, unaware that he is the "clumsy Carl" of the office. In their minds, the two men could never be the same. Yada yada.

As Carl gains more trust and info on the women he talks to, he begins to blackmail them for real life sex. Their inner most secrets (cheating on a spouse, being "bi curious", whatever) are so "severe" in their own minds, they don't dare tell other women that their Casanova is really Carl.

So, this could be a fairly long story to deal with more than one woman within it, or it could be broken up into "chapters". What do ya'll think?

Great idea :) The way he talks to the women is that he overhears them trading email addresses and he knows how to manipulate that into messengers/chat rooms like Yahoo...easy enough. :)

Your scenario sets up a difficult obstacle to overcome. Wouldn't a woman's personal embarrassment, over laying down with Carl, be greater than her having other women know her cyberguy is Carl?

I think you're right. It would be a long story, if you developed it fully.

Blackmail works when the leverage is really strong. Maybe someone else can offer some ideas.

It's not the embarrassment of other women knowing her cyberguy is Carl, it's the embarrassment of Carl revealing that woman's deepest, darkest fantasies, fetishes and desires to the other women...that's the blackmail material.

You almost have to see it written to tell whether the leverage is sufficient.

Since Tiggs is still working this out, try this. Would the threat of having your secrets known be enough to make you fuck some guy you don't particularly like?

Kind of depends on the secrets and the guy, right?

Actually, more so than fantasies being discovered, I was also thinking about confessions of cheating on their hubbies and boyfriends. Or, maybe fantasies that would "ruin the careers" of these women in their minds.

I think you're hitting the right notes. Maybe I got hung up on the "fantasies" part. As a blackmail tool, they are kind of weak. You can always deny a fantasy.

Actual confessions of cheating. That's real. That's out there and other people are involved. That has blackmail written all over it.

Tell me more about Carl.

This is a great idea and is looking good.

Are you going to do it from Carl’s point of view or from each woman’s view point?

Either way its a great project. GOOD LUCK

I see Carl as a slightly younger man (but not a teen nor "fresh from college"). Perhaps 27-34? He is a shy, quiet man. Single. Pretty much a loner. He feels awkward when around women. He has low self-esteem when around women. And, because of those, he tends to be very clumsy when around them.

He sees women as objects high on a pedestal...above him and out of reach. He thinks the women he lusts after feel they are too good for him and that they mock him. (But, that's pretty much in his mind only.)

Since his emotional state isn't the best, he has some very dark, warmped fantasies involving the "Goddesses" who "shun" him. (Jumping ahead here a bit.) He discovers the world of the net at the office, meets some women, begins to get to know them. His attitude totally changes when on the net and he becomes the man he wishes he was. He discovers that certain women he is talking to work with him, etc. He gets into their head to the point the women feel they do have to do what he wants or they will be exposed.

My Contribution.

Whatever else he is, Carl is a nerd. He is the sysop of a large company. Unknown to the women, upper management has installed some spyware on the corporate system. As the sysop, they rely on Carl to monitor it, and appraise them of any "irregularities".

This is what gives Carl the power. The women gossip over the company system about how they feel about the company, management, any shortcuts they have taken, their husbands' failings, who they would like to do, their sexual preferences - or even just curiosity - and what they have actually done about it.

The blackmail is not that Carl knows about this, the blackmail is that Carl has intercepted copies of these messages, on the Company system, during Company time. At the very least, they would loose there job. If the company wished to be vindictive - and it would (remember the comments about management) - it could go a considerable distance toward seeing that the women's references ensured that they remained unemployable.

[Remember, Bill Gates recently had old E-mail surface to bite him in the ass, in court, during a trial, for the SECOND time!]

The rest, could be handled in a normal Blackmail Story way. Only, the women would never know for certain, that there was not another copy, somewhere, hanging over their heads; considering the nature of E-mail.

I think you have picked the right name for the main character it just seems to fit well done Tiggs

You are right about that. It depends on the secret. I've looked at it as no big deal, especially if I hate the guy. I wouldn't like him anyway for blackmailing me, but it would be different if I knew and disliked him before hand. I never took the time to allow the guy to pull down his pants. Get his cock out of his zipper, shit on his lamp and ride him hard until he comes. It's 45 seconds tops. The guy just want to fuck, so stay in control and get out of there. The biggie will come with getting even.

Exactly. A "successful business woman" who fucked her way to the top could be a hell of a scandal if her hubby and the community found out. There could be many reasons that someone would want to keep their secrets a secret. Not to mention, if a person has a naturally submissive personality to them, it'll be easier for them to submit to a blackmailer.

... if a person has a naturally submissive personality to them.... [/B]

I guess I'm kind of quick to spread my legs if it would solve an imediate problem

When secrets can cause problems for other people, it's good to take care of the situation right away. Like how the secret was found out.

I think you are on the right track, Tiggs. Narrow the scope of the action to one woman in the company. Carl uses his inside knowledge to blackmail her.

Having him work on many women in a systematic way makes the story long and complicated. Unless you see a multi-part, ongoing story, keep Carl's target down to one powerful woman.

It is easy for all of us to get a little carried away on this board. I think we tend to add plot lines and additional characters. The result is more of a novel than a story post for Lit.

Quoting my first post

What news of Carl?

You got a bunch of us hooked and wondering about this bad boy. If it's going to be a multi-chapter saga, how is chapter one coming along?
