Carson: Planned Parenthood Was Founded To Abort Black Babies

Truth.

Via Daily Caller:

Ben Carson told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto Wednesday that Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger to abort black babies and “control that population.”

CARSON: Maybe I am not objective when it comes to Planned Parenthood, but, you know, I know who Margaret Sanger is, and I know that she believed in eugenics, and one of the reasons you find most of their clinics in black neighborhoods is so that you can find a way to control that population. I think people should go back and read about Margaret Sanger who founded this place — a woman Hillary Clinton by the way says that she admires. Look and see what many people in Nazi Germany said about her

. CAVUTO: That she was for targeting certain races?

CARSON: That she was a great person.

Carson isn’t the first black man to argue that the true aim of Sanger’s organization was to control the black population.

I guess this bit being blasted in the other thread wasn't enough, you needed to feel yet more humiliation.

It's blatantly obvious that Carson's not objective at all. He should have stopped right there, you know, before he started repeating worn out half-truths and outright lies.

The Nazi reference actually made me laugh out loud. Mr. Carson should read a little history before invoking Godwin's Law.

What did many people in Nazi Germany actually say about Sanger? Eugenicists, including the Nazis, were opposed to the use of contraception or abortion by healthy and “fit” women. Sanger’s books were among the very first burned by the Nazis in their campaign against family planning. Because to a eugenicist, a woman's first duty is to the state, and so she should not be allowed to decide for herself when, IF or how many children she will bear.

It's true that Sanger identified with broader issues of health and fitness that concerned the early 20th-century eugenics movement, which was very popular during the 20's and 30's. Mostly because many hereditary and disabling conditions were un-treatable at the time. However, She believed that reproductive decisions should be made on an individual basis, rather than social, cultural or racial and often clashed with mainstream eugenicists at the time.

Sanger opposed the racial stereotyping which effected passage of the Immigration Act of 1924. Her argument was that intelligence and other inherited traits vary by individual and not by group. Another huge point of contention with eugenicists at the time.

As far as Carson's assertion that Sanger's aim was to control the Black population. This opinion appears to be based on misquotes, out of context quotes, and outright fabrications (such as the ties to Nazi Germany). If ANY of this were true then the black community should be looking into the motivations of W.E.B. DuBois, Mary McLeod Bethune, founder of the National Council of Negro Women, the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Adam Clayton Powell Jr., pastor of the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem. All of whom not only endorsed Sanger and planned Parenthood in it's infancy, but praised highly both the actions and the motivations behind them.

Harlem was the very first location of a Planned Parenthood clinic in 1930, it was staffed by a black physician and a black social worker. The mission was to bring contraception and family planning services to women who were denied access to their city's health and social services.

Facts? Facts and Truth are like fucking kryptonite to the "right".

I've read some of her writings, Margaret Sanger was a trip.

Did you actually read them, or just the cover?
You know Sanger didn't actually write that, yes?

That would be MP Ravenel - American Journal of Public Health (New York, NY, 1926)

If you had, you'd know many of her own submissions are inside.

so lets assume this is 100% true, and she MERELY edited it and didnt BELIEVE ONE word of what she edited

so we then have that SHE IS INNOCENT of all that is in there.....Yet Scalise is GUILTY of WHITE SUPREMACY cause he made ONE SPEECH (actually he didnt) for ONE hr to ONE group on TAX POLICY!

Typical dodge, answer a question that you can't or won't answer with a question.

Thanks for playing.

Sanger actively disavowed many of the ideas of eugenicists as I noted in my post above. You know the one, the one that thoroughly demolished Dr. Carson's assertions about Sanger and Planned Parenthood.

But instead of addressing that you seem to want to ignore it and change the subject to Scalise. It's your thread, I don't mind embarrassing you twice.

Scalise first tried to claim that he had no idea that EURO was a racist organization. Their national president was David Duke, someone with whom Mr. Scalise was very familiar with, coming from his home district in Louisiana. It's impossible to believe that he wouldn't know this.

you should tell Scalise that he didn't actually make that speech, because he's running around telling everyone that he did, after insisting that it was "insulting and ludicrous" on Monday.

“One of the many groups that I spoke to regarding this critical legislation was a group whose views I wholeheartedly condemn,” Mr. Scalise said. “It was a mistake I regret, and I emphatically oppose the divisive racial and religious views groups like these hold.”

So first he lied about giving the speech at all, when it was shown that he did in fact give that speech he tried to claim that he had no idea that they were a White Supremacist organization, finally he admits to both.. But he condemns their views.

So which is he?
a liar?
an incompetent boob?
a racist?
or all of the above?

Carson sounds like another black racist.
He's an Uncle Tom.
Back in the Civil War he'd have tried to join the Confederate Army.

I'm pro-life but I got the fuck away from that movement. They ALL want to ban contraception, they don't condemn shooting doctors, they think rape babies are a gift from God, and they don't care about born children AT ALL.

It ain't about babies, it's about controlling women. Anyone who doubted that should have gotten the hint after Hobby Lobby.

I've read everything she's written

her views on eugenics were quite popular in the scientific community at the time... even Teddy Roosevelt was a huge fan of eugenics.. as was Winston Churchill

with the rise of eugenics being used as a social tool to stigmatize others, Sanger started shifting as she used it recognize patterns in behaviours.. an idea which is ludicrous now, but at the time examining class , wealth and economics was unheard of

with the rise of Nazi's, Sanger completely dropped her belief in eugenics all together... in fact, her books on sex education were some of the first burned by the Nazi's

Winston Churchil;l on the other hand.. never once denounced eugenics, and was in fact in favour of euthanizing the mentally ill... something everyone likes to ignore

wehn Sanger started her clinics, she went out of her way to ensure the black community was activey involved.. in fact going so far as to outright fire those who were opposed to working with people of colour

you , like busybody, have clearly never read anything about Sanger outside of intentionally dishonest anti-choice websites....

or... you're just really fucking stupid
