I drive an automatic, but I love driving a manual. It feels good to have that control over the car. When I was younger (you know, 10 minutes ago) I would whip those cars around tiny hair pin curves in the backroads by my house, racing other people, and would win. Guess it helps that I had two uncles who were race car drivers. Must be in my genes. When it comes to driving in the house, I do 99% of it, while my husband sits in the passangers seat. And he is content to do so.
I drive a manual. I learned to drive on a manual when I was 15.. I would take my brothers truck out on back roads when my mom and dad were at work. Although it was kinda hard explaining why his truck had 3000 more miles on it then it did when he left for the Army..lol
I learned to drive on a straight shift, and still love them to this day. Something about the power being in your hands. But I drive an automatic now. I live on a mountain, and would get tired quickly of shifting. And I agree PB, I love to watch a man drive a straight shift..
