Rep. Cori Bush said on Friday she was changing offices after Rep. Marjorie Greene
"berated" her and her staff in a hallway.

Rep. Cori Bush, a freshman Democrat from Missouri, said Friday that she was
moving her office at the U.S. Capitol complex away from Rep. Marjorie Taylor
Greene (R-Ga.) for safety reasons, after claiming Greene accosted her without
a mask.

In a statement to Insider, Bush said the incident in question occurred on January 13
when she was walking to the floor to vote, one week after the January 6 insurrection
on the US Capitol. She said Greene "came up from behind" her "ranting loudly into
her phone while not wearing a mask."

Bush said Greene "responded by berating her."

A member of Greene's staff told Rep. Bush to "stop inciting violence with Black Lives

Meanwhile, Greene — a conspiracy theorist who has a history of making racist
anti-Semitic remarks — called Rep. Cori Bush a liar and accused her of leading
a “terrorist mob” because she supported Black Lives Matter.

“She is lying to you. She berated me. Maybe Rep. Bush didn’t realize I was live on video
but I have the receipts,” Greene tweeted, also calling Bush “the leader of the St. Louis
Black Lives Matter terrorist mob who trespassed into a gated neighborhood to threaten

When Donald Trump filed the first brief in his second impeachment trial late Tuesday,
he did the one thing he shouldn’t: tell his big election lie—only bigger and more dangerous
because he and his lawyers are now swearing to it.

The spirit of Trump suffused the assertions—he won, dammit, and the Senate is
going to get an earful about it—couched in legalese and double negatives.

The brief denied Trump sought to subvert the election results, which in any event
he had the right to “suspect” weren’t valid. Whatever he said, including his speech
to the patriots from the lawn behind the White House, is protected speech under
the First Amendment and didn’t incite anybody anyway.

Then comes a royal head-spinner: “Insufficient evidence exists upon which a reasonable
jurist could conclude that the 45th president’s statements were accurate or not, and
he therefore denies they were false.”

Sit down and then parse: Trump “denies” it is false to say he won “in a landslide.”

If the brief reads a little rough, it’s because for a period over the weekend,
Trump had no lawyers at all.

Trump’s lawyers claim that when he urged the mob to descend on the Capitol
by saying, “if you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore,”
he wasn’t actually directing mob action.

Instead, they claim rather implausibly, “it was clearly about the need to fight
for election security in general.”

Obviously, if Trump agreed to testify, he could be asked why, if his only intention
were to enlist the angry crowd in the pious cause of election security, he refused
many entreaties to call off the mob as it rampaged for hours, including entreaties

The base, located about 150 miles from Los Angeles, is the Marine Corps’
premier training facility and the largest Marine base in the world at 932
