A new set of unverified images from a chat session in which Weiner allegedly engaged in sexually explicit conversations with another woman from last summer threaten to derail Weiner’s campaign for mayor of New York City. BuzzFeed.com reached out to the Weiner campaign for comment but, as of this writing, not yet responded to the explosive new claims of impropriety.

The images taken from Facebook and the social network Formspring are blurred but are alleged to be Weiner going by the handle “Carlos Danger.”

Update: The key thing to note here is these new texts are from last summer, one year after he resigned from Congress and supposedly cleaned his act up.
Weiner’s full statement:
“I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out, and today they have. As I have said in the past, these things that I did were wrong and hurtful to my wife and caused us to go through challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation from Congress. While some things that have been posted today are true and some are not, there is no question that what I did was wrong. This behavior is behind me. I’ve apologized to Huma and am grateful that she has worked through these issues with me and for her forgiveness. I want to again say that I am very sorry to anyone who was on the receiving end of these messages and the disruption that this has caused. As my wife and I have said, we are focused on moving forward.”

No executive experience. Legislative experience consists of a few co-sponsorships and raising ruckuses. If he gets elected there will be constant distractions. I don't care about his weiner as much as most people but I'm just not seeing why he should be mayor. He should be a rep again maybe. If his district wants him. Not mayor.

He assured the public however, that the behavior was “behind him now.” According to Facebook messages from Weiner, published by RadarOnline, he was sexting with a woman in March of this year, while he was campaigning for Mayor.
When exactly did the sexting get “behind him?”
On March 16th, in an exchange with Weiner, a woman writes “Nice! Just what I’m looking for….I want to XXXX the future mayor of nyc!”
Weiner hadn’t formally announced for Mayor at that time, but had conducted polling on the race and was reportedly considering making a run. On March 16th, the date of the message, FoxNews reported that Weiner was preparing for a mayoral race.
