Well, being no where near 'Bama I was curious if there was more to the story.

the carbomb was in birmingham in ENGLAND it was planted by the" real ira" to disrupt the ceasefire and peace talks and because the "provisional ira" has started to decommision weapons [allegedly]

BIRMINGHAM, England -- A car bomb which went off in the city centre would caused "very serious loss of life" if it had detonated fully, police have said.

Limited damage was recorded and no injuries occurred despite the explosion going off near pubs and clubs around New Street railway station on Saturday night.

But it was later revealed that the "substantial device," which has been blamed on the dissident Real IRA, had failed to detonate fully -- only the detonator exploded.
