It's 1942, and Captain Steve Rogers is only the first of several to go through the super soldier program. The serum used is derived from technology found within an ancient underground Kree laboratory, but unfortunately, HYDRA has the same tech within their grasp as well. This changes the playing field of World War II as both sides race to weaponize the Kree technology.
This would start off as primarily a war/romance/sex hybrid story, but history will unfold very differently from this point on. Science will advance at a much quicker rate due to the Kree technology, which means many modern conveniences will show up decades earlier than they would have otherwise. In this world, 1985 could look more like 2015. One of the key players in understanding this alien science is Howard Stark, who I will play as a secondary character along with Rogers.
Instead of most Marvel stories fast forwarding to modern day after Cap falls under, I'd like to keep it in the past for a while. Play out the war up until 1945, and then keep Cap awake and active. Throughout the rest of the 40s, our team could pilot black ops missions for the SSR against resurgent HYDRA remnants, leading to the formation of S.H.I.E.L.D. Then we could fast forward 30 years as tensions rise against the Soviet Union, which has aided in rebuilding HYDRA. This could eventually lead us into World War III against the Soviets, until it's realized that Loki has been manipulating them with his scepter and opens up a wormhole over Russia. As alien forces flood from the sky, the Battle of Moscow commences, and the war quickly shifts to all of humanity uniting against the alien threat.
From here we can adapt other stories to this new world. I'm open to ideas.
