Cannot be in it, and not be of it

If we Americans cannot dedicate the hours of our lives to protesting
Donald J. Trump's part (and the alliance that puts him to use) in
deconstructing the America, we do not deserve the America that
most Americans want.

The women of America started off, with a spectacular effort.
Many joined their sides, in showing the world that America
is not Trump's America.

OTOH, the American people have been burdened, thanks
to the Trump Alliance.

Everything is bewilderingly different, now.

Would the citizens of the UK tolerate this level of nepotism ?

The President’s adult children — Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr.,
Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump — made the trip and were among
the 170 guests seated at the horseshoe-shaped table in the palace’s
ballroom adorned with displays of peonies. Part of the official U.S.
delegation, Ivanka Trump made an appearance with Jared Kushner
at Westminster Abbey earlier in the day. Trump’s older daughter is
expected to have a seat at Tuesday’s business roundtable and bilateral
meeting with outgoing British Prime Minister Theresa May at 10
Downing Street, according to CNN.

Trump, Melania, the queen, Prince Charles and Camilla are
looking at a collection at Buckingham Palace of historical
items.

Jared and Ivanka are with Prince Harry. Mnuchin, John Bolton,
Kellyanne Conway and Sarah Huckabee Sanders also on this
tour of memorabilia.

Some debate over whether Trump violated protocol and
touched the queen. He reached out toward her as she
stood to speak at the state banquet.

Hard to tell from the video (just before 3 minute mark).

yay, Larry the Cat!

Cats are able to troll people, at a superior level, than many creatures.

Game of Trolls

Malania has been trolling her Goon #1 husband, ever
since he shamed her in front of the whole world.
She will not hold hands with him.

The press snapped the moment Goon #1 managed to trap her hand in his.
"Look! They are holding hands!" (For a few seconds.)

Melania will not toleate another attempt.
She holds her hand in a certain position.

Who cares if the pic that was snapped, gives a false impression ?
The impression was made.

Who knows, if this "Melania Resisting" moment, is a false front, too ?
It generates talk, speculation, and distraction.

Disregard Trump’s ground noise. Focus on the signal.

By Joe Scarborough

June 3 at 4:08 PM

"It is easy to be blinkered by the ground noise generated
by from the president’s Twitter feed, or from his ministers
of propaganda, or from his quivering quislings on Capitol Hill.
It is difficult to brush aside the steady stream of lies and half-
truths that insult our intelligence. But the good admiral would
tell you that you have no other choice unless you want to fly
your fighter jet straight into the side of a mountain."

"Ignore the ground noise and search for the signal, instead.
That may seem difficult but, after three years of Trumpian
madness, it is imperative."

"The signal is the Mueller report. Read it."

"The evidence inside is both impeachable and indictable.
It also documents that the Russians tried to undermine
U.S. democracy and that the president and his team,
rather than reporting the interference, welcomed our
enemy’s help."

The signal is the United States’ $22 trillion debt;
record deficits; a fading bond market; trade wars
with Mexico and China; a $16 billion welfare scheme
for farmers; tariff taxes; a bloated defense budget that
funds military-industrial complex programs that the
Pentagon does not even want; a Middle Eastern war
taxpayers are underwriting for the benefit of a bloodthirsty
Saudi prince; and rising tensions in the Persian Gulf also
aimed at mollifying that same leader, who had a Post
contributing columnist tortured and killed.

Trump won the election and he will win again...THIS IS THE AMERICA MOST AMERICANS WANT...

Melania wants it both ways. As long as she's with him, she's with him.

According to the Springfield (IL) Journal-Register, at least four advertisers
have pulled their funding from Sinclair Broadcast Group-owned ABC affiliate
WICS-TV, which is licensed to Springfield, Illinois and serves much of central
Illinois and, through its full-power rebroadcaster WICD-TV, east-central Illinois.

This is in response to Sinclair pulling meteorologist Joe Crain off of WICS/WICD
for pointing out how alarmist and confusing Sinclair’s “Code Red” weather alerts,
which Sinclair mandates its stations use despite not being official National Weather
Service (NWS) alerts of any kind, are to viewers:

Illinois TV meteorologist RAILS AGAINST Sinclair Broadcast Group's weather hype

ON AIR

At least four local businesses have pulled their advertising from
WICS-TV in support of meteorologist Joe Crain, who has been
absent from the Springfield station’s broadcasts following his
on-air criticism of the “Code Red” weather alert system.

Sinclair is losing advertisers in at least one market, not due to
Sinclair forcing its stations to air right-wing, pro-Trump political
propaganda, but due to Sinclair’s alarmist weather hype machine,
and Sinclair’s use of shell companies to exploit loopholes in FCC
concentration of ownership regulations is finally coming back to
haunt them.

Joe Crain

A major point Crain complained about is the confusing and alarmist
nature of the “Code Red” alert that Sinclair mandates its stations use
on-air and contrasted it with official (i.e., issued by the federal
government’s Storm Prediction Center (SPC), which is under
the National Weather Service (NWS)) convective severe weather
risk forecasts. In the case of “Code Red”, that could be used for
any dangerous weather condition, whether it be tornadoes, strong
to severe thunderstorms, flooding, or other dangerous weather
situations, and it’s not an official National Weather Service watch,
warning, emergency, advisory, statement, or outlook. “Code Red”
could be used for anything ranging from a few pop-up thunderstorms
in a particular area to a destructive and large-scale tornado outbreak,
and usage of the term “Code Red” is obviously a term that is designed
to be scary. In the case of the SPC convective severe weather risk forecasts,
those forecasts are limited to convective weather (i.e., tornadoes and
thunderstorms), and use a five-level scale to convey the likelihood
and severity of anticipated convective severe weather
(i.e., tornadoes and severe thunderstorms).

Crain also acknowledged that, while Sinclair owns WICS, WICS
(and its full-power repeater, WICD), like every other U.S.-based
television station with an over-the-air signal, is licensed by the
Federal Communications Commission. Although Crain didn’t
directly accuse Sinclair of violating FCC regulations, that did
strike me as an insinuation that Sinclair may have been violating
FCC regulations of some kind. However, I don’t know of any
potential FCC violations with the “Code Red” warnings that
Sinclair-owned stations use, since I don’t think the FCC would
step in unless there was a flagrant attempt to mislead viewers
(one hypothetical example being a station trying to claim that
the “Code Red” warnings were being issued by the NWS,
which I don’t know of any instance of a Sinclair-owned station
doing that).

"We want you to know it's not us," Crain said in the Wednesday segment. "This is a corporate initiative, the Code Red alert. And behind the scenes, many of us have tried to dissuade it for the last few months, to try something else that's less controversial to the viewers.

"So, keep in mind, despite the fact that this facility is owned by a corporation, it's still licensed under the authority by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to serve the public interest, convenience and necessity. So you still have a voice—keep those cards and letters coming. I'll let you be the judge on whether or not Code Red serves the public interest."

Footage of Crain's irritations about the policies enforced by his own TV station, which is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, has been viewed tens of thousands of times on Twitter. In the clip, he instead shows a preference for predictions made by the U.S. National Weather Service.

The State Journal-Register, a Springfield newspaper, reported that Crain's staff biography has since been deleted from the WICS-TV site and he did not appear on Thursday shows.

The meteorologist has been employed at the company since 2004 and, based on the support shown on his Facebook page, is appreciated by the local community.

June 10, 2019

Joe Crain, a WICS-TV staff member since 2004, disappeared from the weather report after ad-libbing June 5 about the "Code Red" moniker that station owner Sinclair Broadcast Group implemented as a severe-weather alert.

Crain declined comment Monday.

Even Democratic U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, a Springfield resident, said at a weekend news conference that Crain is "reliable and said something that was obvious."

"When someone sticks his neck out the way he did, those of us who believe he's right need to say so," Durbin said, according to The (Springfield) State Journal-Register.
