Skip just posted this in the Dear X thread:

Dear Litizens

FallingToFly's 6 year old son was burned with 1st and 2nd degree burns on his face and lower arms when a pressurized spray can exploded in a yard trash fire. He is in the hospital and is likely to be there for a week at least. FTF is with him now, and will probably stay for the week. He will recover, but there are concerns about secondary infections, and some facial scars.

She has access to a computer at the hospital, but I don't know if she will check PMs here or email. Please pray/send healing thoughts, etc. for her and her son.

Speaking as the mother of a six-year-old, I can only say that this brought tears to my eyes.

May the lighting of my humble candle bring strength and healing light.

Please pass along the information I am posting here... I have personal experience with burns....

When the child comes home, please, I swaer to go this works, apply the following to his burns to prevent scarring.

Camphophenique (that little green bottle you forgot what you had for)
Vitamin E Oil
Fresh cut Aloe Vera Gel

Everyday apply the Aloevera whenever cooling or discomfort arises...
Pop a capsule of Vitamin E and spread the thick oil over the burns, especially the second degree ones twice a day...

And to prevent scarring and infection, and provide minor anesthetic relief, dab camphophenique to the burns Especially the 2nd degrees...

Even if it hurts do it. Work the skin with clean fingers and fresh ingredients.

It makes all the difference and I have the use of two fingers after 2nd and 3rd degree burns they were accidently deep fried. I researched these items and used them and now, only under certain angles lights can you see that the skin is only mildly more texturized than the rest of my hands. I also have3rd degree burn scars on my thigh. That was way more major than my hand.... but now years later surgeons are stunned at how smooth the scar is... when by rights its should be ropey and rippled and worse....

Please try it. it works for bad sunburns too!

oh and Candles LIT!:rose:

Oh no! >>>HUSGS<<< for FTF and major healing energy sent to the little man!
:rose:

...going to light a candle now...

My candle's lit and extra special healing thoughts sent. I have personal experience with 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns (boiling water on legs) and know how much they hurt. Poor baby!

Best wishes for the little guy, and I agree with Christabelli about vitamin E, Aloe Vera and camphophenique. As much Vitamin E as his skin can hold on to.

Candle lit. :rose: My legs were scalded when I was 5 and I have been burned twice so I can somewhat relate to what the little guy's going through. Dammit, it hurts!

Hang tough FTF and son.
