...is next Monday....I can already smell the stuffed seal and cod cheeks baking in the oven.

I read somewhere Americans eat deep fried turkey as a meme for boiling and burning Indians.

Savages.

I know a few hillbillys that use that method...disgusting thing to do to a turkey.

Mine will be stuffed and oven roasted with all the fixings.

Why do Americans wait till almost Christmas for Thanksgiving

It was based on when the harvest was.

Deep frying a turkey makes the skin extra crisp and the insides stay moist and tender. I normally roast mine but I can see why people like it deep fried.

Canadian Thanksgiving is on American Columbus Day? That's interesting. (The U.S. really gets off on celebrating Columbus...just don't tell the kiddos he's not really a hero. Heaven forbid we tell kids the truth).

Seal flipper pie is the real deal, young maid.

Americans eat baby cows and call it "veal" as if it's a different species.

Wow, I thought you were joking. What does it taste like?

We eat stranger things than baby cow.

I've never liked veal, it does taste different than regular beef. It's been a long time but I remember it lacked texture and flavor.

Seal tastes a lot like heather mccartney's leg.

(Canadian joke)

It's a bit oily, like gamey greasy roast beef.

But especially on the east coast we club our own thanksgiving seal and make mittens from the hide.

Don't diss the cod cheeks.

The fact is he never discovered North America, Vikings were the first Europeans with settlements, he landed in the Caribbean.
