Canada, a fun place to be???

Ok I have been up here in Ontario for 5 days now and I swear there is not anything to do here. I mean its not like I am in a small city,sitting in a city of 300,000 people and it appears to be as bad as Mayberry. Hopped on a bus last night hoping to do a little shopping or at least walk around but what do I find when I get to the downtown area? Everything closes at 6 pm, and now today most things are closed at 5 pm so I am stuck in a house with nothing to do. So to get to the question I wanted to ask....Can anyone who lives in Ontario (near Hamilton preferrably) give me any ideas on what to do up here?

You're right, Hamilton sucks. But you're only an hour away from the largest city in Canada. Get on the GO bus and come to Toronto, silly goose! A round trip costs $16. Tons to do here. Or so they tell me. lol

Sorry Warrior i wish i could, I'm from eastern Canada and at least we can find things to do after 5, the stores downtown might be closed but there is still the bars or the malls. And i found it that way when I was up in Ontario Too, it definately isn't the states when it comes to shopping.

Well I would be at a bar now but I had a little mishap at the customs place in Windsor....at the moment my Minnesota drivers license and birth certificate are sitting there so I am kinda a man without an identity at the moment....good thing i have 2 months for them to send it here otherwise I could be stuck up here for awhile. LOL. I would consider Toronto but at the moment I dont feel like getting caught up in all the parties.

Dude, you can't base an opinion of a whole country on one city, especially if that city is Hamilton. And if you don't "feel like getting caught up in all the parties" what exactly DO you want to do?

Ottawa is pretty cool, cat. I lived there for two years and I'm going there next weekend to celebrate Canada Day. Looking forward to it big time! Woohoooo!!
