Why do I have exit in France and get to London via the chunnel? If I'm swimming, can't I just swim to Plymouth and be done with it?

It's nice that I can zoom in and see exactly which pier I should use to start my swim and where I should get out in France.

Lets see -
I have 10,170 plus posts and average 17.64 per day,
I manage a thread that has had 4,472 posts and 64,577 visits,
and I have started over 80 new threads

Damn Right - I don't have enough to do with me time.

oh god - how very very sad -

I gota get a life

Didn't your directions miss the step of "click on 'get directions'"? Because 'search the map' is the default setting & doesn't give you the two boxes to type into. Or were we supposed to assume that was a given?

ok ok - so I should now change this thread to "can you give directions?"

*sigh*

good catch, thanks - I'll edit the directions

LOL I wouldn't worry about it too much, hon. I'm sure you'll catch a good number of accidental mistakes in my future posts too. I just thought I'd point it out before someone had to ask about it. I'm a perfectionist and an analyst. And I've read literally thousands of books in my life. I can't really help but edit things. It's an unconcious habit. ((hugs))

What in the world made you come up with this idea, anyway?

My son called me last night and had me do it while he was on the phone - someone at his base told him about it.

Looks like someone at google was having fun.

I thought about mentioning that, but decided bringing up one correction was enough. ((hugs Shankara)) Thanks for sharing that. It was funny. :)

interesting to note i tried other destinations and only european countries would it do this for.. all others such as japan or china or any where else it couldnt find directions...

i guess after that far the swim is too long...

okay from new york to london you swim at step 24 but from cincinatti to dublin you swim at step 15  And still go thru france and england to get there.

France must have the corner on the shipping...I mean swimming lanes. All routes pass though France, so they get their little share of the pie.

Sneaky are the French. It's kind of like the French kiss...you don't suspect anything, then all of the sudden, here comes this tongue! :p

 What? Ew! *sobs* Now I'm all traumatized . . . :(

No one warned me about a tongue. :(:(:(
