In a series of recent conversations with Grace I have learned that she has NEVER heard of Captain Crunch or even worse Captain Crunch with Crunch Berries.

Blasphemy!!!

Now I am not sure if it's cuz she never really goes to the grocery store and doesn't know that it exsists or that it's not available in the UK.

So......

Tell me, what does the rest of the world NOT have that the US has or visa versa, food wise.

Just curious.

Oh, that's just sad.

Definitely US only, that one.

As to what don't we have - I have no idea. We don't have it :D

They rip the roof of your mouth out with their sugary goodness. They're awesome.

Oh. My. God.

Only the number one selling presweetened cereal for decades.
Seconded. It's a cosmic experience.

I know the UK has McVities chocolate digestive biscuits and America doesn't.
Some supermarkets have started stocking Hobnobs, but that's it.
I want the chocolate biscuits! :(
Nothing like chocolate digestives, yummy hot chocolate, and someone reading you Winnie the Pooh.

So, even if I knew what it was, I probagbly wouldn't want it.

I'm sweet enough.

We have Tim Tams - the world's greatest chocky biscuit.
And Milo (choc energy granules for milk - they don't dissolve properly and you get a choc crunch crust on top of your drink - great!)
And of course Vegemite - best breakfast in the universe is toast and Vegemite and we love to torture tourists with it!

It's really a kid thing. I hadn't had any since I was like 10 or 11. But then I had braces as an adult. The week after I had my braces off I had ALLLLL the stuff I couldn't have for two years: peanut brittle, corn on the cob, bubble gum and Captain Crunch.

Thing is....after eating a bowl I painfully remembered what it used to do to the roof of my mouth.

My ex finished the box.

What the hell?

Damnit Grace. ;)

Seriously though, Cap'n Crunch does not exist in England. In fact, neither does Lucky Charms, Trix, Fruity/Cocoa Pebbles, Cocoa Puffs, and a bunch of other cereals.

Basically any General Mills or Post cereals don't exist in the UK.

There's the second part of your pen name. ;)

True. And the Frosties, while similar, are different as well.
I still have a hard time with UK peanut butter.

But, seriously, what I wouldn't give for a Marks & Spencer or a Tesco's.

I lived on Pop Tarts my freshman year in college ... washed down with cheap rum and Diet Coke.

Mars bars and Milky Ways are also different there. :p

Damnit now I have a craving for McVitties...and sausage rolls...and English candy...and cereal...and ice cream.

I'm not sure how that last one got in there but it did, so I'm gonna go and get some.

I STILL live on Pop-Tarts. It's the breakfast lunch dinner and snack of choice for college students...well, right next to Top Ramen.
