FIGHTING THE FREE MARKET – WHEREEVER YOU MAY FIND IT
There are people in Congress who are absolutely determined that the Imperial Federal Government of the United States is going to exercise total and complete control over every aspect of your health care. These socialists know that health care is important – vital – to each and every American. When politicians know that something is of vital importance to Americans --- they want to control it.

Latest attack on the free market? Well, it comes from a Democrat, naturally, in Florida. U.S. Senator Bill Nelson.

Here’s the deal.

Two doctors in Boca Raton, Florida set up a boutique practice for their Medicare patients. They cut their patient load from 3000 to just under 600. They will offer each of these patients more individualized attention. No waiting … longer times spent with the doctor … etc. For this they charge each of their patients a $1,500 yearly fee.

The patients? They like it! Individualized, concentrated attention from their doctor! The government? Doesn’t like it. So, Senator Nelson will be introducing a bill to make this specialized service illegal.

Surprised?

I for one would love if doctors took the initiative like these two to cut thier patient load in such away to give better care. I personally would be willing to pay the bit extra for this kind of service. I personally think the current system has overworked the doctors giving them no other choice but to give substandard care, with the best they can do. I personally think this sort of arrangement above by the two doctors, is good for the doctors and good for the patients. I would think if other doctors caught on to this idea/concept within a few years our healthcare system would see a turn for the better.

TEACHING THE COMMUNIST DOGMA
OK – I don’t use the “C” word that often. Folks like the John Birch Society yelled and screamed “communism” so often and so loudly during the past 30 or so years that the word has lost all impact.

Having said that, let’s also say that the communist doctrine still exists and there are still a lot of very powerful people in this world who think that communism is definitely the way to go.

Now – perhaps the best known single item of communist dogma is the quote “From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs.”

You should know that this dogma is being taught in many government schools. Perhaps its being taught, in actions and in words, to your children right now!

Remember all those school supplies you bought for your child before school started? Those pencils, erasers, construction paper, binders, glue, scissors, rulers and whatnot? Why don’t you ask your child what happened to that stuff? You might be surprised!

In far too many government schools, and in some private schools, the children are told to take their supplies, that’s their property, and dump those supplies into a huge box or bin. The supplies are then made available to any child in the classroom who has a need for them. The children are told that it’s not “fair” that their parents could afford to buy them these supplies when some children’s parents can’t afford them. Therefore, the only “fair” thing to do is for everyone to share and share equally.

The lesson? The lesson is that it is somehow wrong for one child to have something, a nice pencil box, pens, binders – whatever – if another child doesn’t have one. Private property rights? Well, evidently these children don’t have rights to any property that other children can’t afford.

Do you see what’s being taught here? These kids are being told that there is something inherently wrong with owning private property while others are going without. So, the kids who have the “ability” to buy the office supplies will do so (from each according to their ability) and then those supplies will be shared with everyone in the class (to each according to their needs).

You think this is a small deal? Not so. This is a very impressionable age for these kids. Lessons learned here are strongly imbedded. The idea that one should now own and possess something that others don’t have, or can’t afford is poison to the concept of private property rights and capitalism.

You make up your own mind. Is this just well-meaning teachers not realizing the consequences of their policies? Or is this by design?

I have seen this in my schools. And the sentiment of the students expressed above are true. The students who could afford the supplies were quite angered that they were given to students who could not.

I do feel that it is training them at an early impressionable age toward some communistic ideals of, "Give it to the government and they will give it out as it is deemed needed."

reads todds post and then todds viewpoint and grins at siren hehe

health care :

i dont know very much at all about americas health care ... i know englands is pretty messed up ... i guess the only problem with having this specilized care for abit extra money is not everybody would beable to afford it

Todd,

I don't understand you. There hasn't been one substantial dialogue to come out of any of your pamphlet pasting. People tell you that it's not your message that keeps them from talking to you, but your long-ass didactic posts. But you keep doing it. I don't understand. What's the matter with you, boy?

This isn't a MENSA essay test, it's a discusison board. I swear to God if you condence ONE subject above into a five line comment created out of your very own little words I will personally engage in a friendly dialogue with you, and so will many others.

But if you keep posting these fucking articles and thinking you're "talking" after everything everyone's said to you then I'd rather talk to a block of wood.

Anyone see Shila, by the way?

DCL you moron LOL (KIDDING) ... but you didnt read all of todds posts ... he posted his arcticle and then he condensed it at the bottom and gave his viewpoint ... i think its cool

WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Answer that, and I'll read a post of yours occasionally.

Always:
"WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Answer that, and I'll read a post of yours occasionally."

I do.
Never Cares.. and Always. I think you need a hug.
Come here.
((((((( Always ))))))))

It's about time someone stood up to those poor schoolchildren.

lavender i mentioned in an earlier post if he would do something like this ... and he listened woohoo :) ... or maybe its just coincidence either way its an improvement and he deserves credit

I know I shouldn't, but I can't help myself.

This is a personal invitation for either one of you.... Boortz or Todd to visit my classroom. Community supplies has nothing to do with teaching communism and everything to do with classroom management. Quite simply, sharing the supplies and having 2 buckets of crayons on the table rather than 6 children digging through bookbags for crayons each time they are needed is more efficient and results in less confusion over what supplies are needed.

I don't know what school you have been to, but students aren't upset when we share supplies. Unless, of course, they've been given the "You're better than those other kids" speech by their parents.

Oh hell, screw the supplies issue. If community supplies are the biggest problem you can find in education, take your damned rose colored glasses off. I really don't fucking care what message it sends. I'm trying to teach these kids to recognize their names, what to do in an emergency, and the skills necessary to read and write. When we get the curriculum covered and they are all reading and writing, THEN I'll worry about the damned supplies. (Of course by then the only supplies left will be the ones that I have bought and it will be a non-issue.)

Oh speaking of slants. Have you people seen the Newsmax.com commercials? I remember Markov Cain, AJ, WD and Todd have all posted from Newsmax.

I don't remember posting from Newsmax. I know it's not on my fav places list. That's pretty strange considering MC, AJ, and I are supposed to be the same person. Perhaps I did once after following a link there, but I don't remember. But I'm sure you can look it up if it's true.

I may not be able to explain why these slants are completely wrong, but I can give it my best shot.
When the articles talk about the sharing of wealth, the distributing equal medical care, and the redistribution of matirials, they take the slant of the wealthy, and do not show the full story. What about the children who don't have money for school supplies, or the people who can not pay the yearly fee for specialized medical care? These articles take an approach that seems to paint the wealthy as the majority of the community, when in fact, they are not. So, until you can put everyone in a place where they have open and equal access to job training, affordible comprehensive health care, and fair wages, you can't really comment on a system that is trying to keep people on an equal footing. The rights in the constitution, and in the laws, are for everyone, not just the rich. I have heard so many commercials, sermons, and pamphlets from people in the groups who publish and support these ideas saying that there is good in mankind, and that we should all help our fellow "flock members" etc. To that, I am going to have to say, put your money where your mouth is. If you are going to open your mouth to preach the fundamentals of a good will based religion, open your wallet and help your fellow human being who needs it, even if they are not of your faith.

This obviously means that Canada is a hotbed of communism. To arms, Todd, descend with all your wrath on Ottawa before all is lost and you have to change your name to Comrade Cutandpaste.

Todd said this?

I can't believe it. No way. There's not one spelling, typing, or grammatical error in it. :)

When I was a busy PTA mom, we did the general supply thing & it was great. I only bought supplies once a year, the kids had enough to get them through the year & nothing was wasted. It taught the kids to share, & it also kept the kids whose families didn't have much from feeling left out. The elementary school my son attended has a very large special ed department. The 4th & 5th graders adopted special ed classes to help with supplies, mentoring & things like that. The room mothers made party favors & helped with snacks on special events. I never regretted doing any of those things & it taught my son to be thankful for the things he had & to be understanding that not all families can afford even the basics. This is another subject that Todd really has no experience in. It is very easy to sit on the sidelines & criticize, it would be different if he were here, actually seeing what real life is all about.

hahaha Thomas that was quite funny actually
