Can someone please explain something to a Newbie, like me?

I joined this board about a week or so ago because everyone seemed like they were fun and intelligent. That opinion hasn't changed, but I beg a question here.

Why does Black Panther have a grudge with so many people and why is it impossible for him to go for a whole day without trying to antagonize and bait members that have been here and are already established?

Is it a way of gaining acceptance? Is that what I should be doing? Attacking people, making ignorant and uninformed comments about everyone based on insecurities or lack of self esteem?

No, I didn't think so. I don't undertand the logic, or the inherent dislike and yes, even hatred I feel from his posts. He seems to only have one supporter and that same supporter seems to also have aroused the ire and dislike of the members for whatever actions she has taken in the past and present.

Well, Lady...its not a very long story. Panther got pissed and it has gone downhill from there. He will either learn to keep his mouth shut or he won't. *shrugs*

Well he's not doing a very good job of making friends so I must assume that his sole purpose for being here is to try and cause strife and arguments within.

It's sad that someone has to stoop to that level to get attention, don't you think?

With the exception of him, everyone else seems to have their heads on straight and realize that this is a fun place and that everyone seems to get along.

Maybe the problem is that he doesn't fit in and knows it. Oh well, I was just curious.

Like in any community there is conflict. Not everybody is going to get along. I have seen him get along with several people here. I have also read some posts that were downright hurtfull. He is not innocent but neither are the people that have attacked him either.

If I was you find threads that you enjoy just post there. Do not worry about the petty arguments. It is for them to figure out. Yes, we will all not agree on things and debating is fine. Try not to bring in personal things or slander. As it is called here flaming. Unless that is what you are looking for and that would only cause negative.

By posting this you are only opening up an opportunity for those involved to put their two cents in. It could kindle the fire sort to speak. I really believe he wants to go on his merry way and post where he enjoys. I mean in the last 2 weeks he has surpassed my amount of postings and I have been writing on the boards since August. In Lit since Oct. 2000. To me that is a sign that he does enjoy the expression of his thoughts be it we agree or disagree with him. The same goes for the others who have had confrontations with him. Just go on your merry way and find topics that interest you. Anger can only breed anger. Negative can only add to negative. It has a spiral effect. Sooner or later the truth comes out. Sooner or later those who are not sincere leave. Let's all try to be positive. I am not saying that confrontations and debates are not fun at times. I am saying let's drop the band wagon of singling out one person. I am sure he is not the cause of all of our misery in our lives. (just a statement not a dig)

I'm sorry. I didn't mean it to seem like I was trying to start another debate on it, I just wanted some answers from members that have been here for a long time.

There are people who do show up here on occasion and they rub the local community the wrong way. The local community rubs that person back the wrong way; for a number of members it's usually on purpose. The fight escalates. Historically, these people have left Literotica. One of them drops by on occasion to troll the rest of us, you may have seen reference to "KidRock" around here. That would be him. There's also yayati. Yoyotwat stops by every once in a great while as well, though he's not nearly as malicious as KidRock.

Some people don't fit. Some people don't make an effort to try to fit. This has nothing to do with individuality and non-conformism. This has everything to do with behaving with respect toward other people, having an assertive attitude, and trying to get a little understanding about the people that one is trying to interact with so that these interactions are cordial and will, perhaps, lead to a basis for friendship.

Don't worry about it....

it just feels like every other day the topic arises one way or another. There are so many of us that get along. Like in life you can like two people that don't like each other. It is not all about taking sides. We are adults and have to make our own decisions. I wish you luck on the boards. I hope that you find what you are seeking. There is something about lit that allows us to see things in a different way. So much to learn from others and writing down your own thoughts. All the petty things I can do without. I am not saying I am not immune to it. It hurts when you are attacked. So it is better to try not to tear another down. Remember what comes around goes around.

Beautfil choice of words tulip. I accept fault where fault lays. I have done my share of provocation, but I will not take full onus of the whole thing. Thanks for the explanation.
