What do you like to see in your box?

What HAVE you seen in your box that made you just laugh your ass off, cringe or delete automatically??


Most of my pm's are from virgins. I think my name does them in and they can't help but tell me all kinds of "wonderful" things they would like to do to my lips. Yea, I know, with a name like juicylips I am asking for it

I don't mind getting PMs or email, I try to answer them, sometimes I don't because I'm the worlds worst correspondent. Why I never considered journalism. Hey, I thought it was funny.

This is what I usually get:

"Hey Muff! You know you're great and that you're probably right/you're really carrying this on too far/got it completely wrong here, but could you please lay off of {insert name here}? S/he's not going to listen and it's just getting worse. Occasionally, I'll get PM's from (usually newer members) who have just read my posts somewhere and want to ask me questions like, "How do I masturbate." Or what is the best way to please a woman. If I am in the mood, I will give them an answer. Otherwise, I usually tell them they need to get to know me better before asking such questions. I find it humorous nonetheless.

The most classic PM I ever received was from Problem Child. Not because of what he said in the actual message (as that was probably only a sentence long) but how he addressed me in the "Post Subject."......something related to a post I had just made at the time.

I do get a fair amount of "How do i begin here at Lit? How do i fit in?" pm's from people i don't yet know - and i *like* those. I like to help. Those are good pm's, in my book.

Because of the BDSM thread over in How To..., i also get a fair amount of "I'm a sub (or Dom/me)... i think. Where can i get more info?" pm's. Again, i like rec'ing those kinds of inquiries from strangers. I can help those people (so i like to think).

I have lots and lots of convos via pm's with other regs here, too - about GB topics and about other stuff. I *LOVE* those pm's and would shrivel up and die of lonliness without them. The Board is good for some discussions but pm's and email (and the phone) serve to fill in the blanks.

Anyway, short answer, i get "Can you help me?" pm's from strangers and "Let's talk about this..." pm's from regs.

And i think Laurel and Manu ought to give us more room in the pm boxes, too. They fill up WAY too fast.

I enjoy getting a pm. Usually from friends, but, occasionally a total stranger, (always someone with just a few posts) and always the same message. "how naughty are you?" On these, I only answer if they have a little info in their profile, and if I can determine male or female. (not that it matters, I just like to know who I'm talking to) With some of the handles you just can't tell, and they don't volunteer the info hehe

I wish one of you well-spoken writer types would post something to the newbies about that. Put info in their profiles, and read a person's profile before writing to them.

I used to get lots of odd PMs when I had my picture on my profile. People always wanting to fuck my hair. (Don't ask me, I have no clue) Most of those went "un-responded" to.

Now, I get only PMs from old timers about something I posted or odd PMs from newbies who want to know if my avatar is really me. ( Yeah, I'm Claudia Schiffer. How'd you know?)

My PM box is always open....for anything. General sexually charged emails from people I barely know get no response. Offbeat messages that make me laugh always get a response.

I"ve gotten a few PMs and I always answer them. Most of the ones I've gotten are from someone with whom I've already been having a thread conversations and in all but a couple of cases, I started the PM conversation

I've gotten a couple from folks saying they've liked something I had to say. Those are really nice to read.

A large amount of my PMs come from people on the site that I already know and would consider to be friends. Other then those, I've also gotten a few from Newbies asking if I know how to do this or that around the board. Did get a PM awhile back from a newbie girl that was trying to pick up on me, but that's pretty much it for the "wanna fuck" PMs from people I don't know.

Whenever someone sends me a PM, I've always tried to get back to that person soon as I can. Also, I pretty much welcome just about any kind of PM from people on the board. That's why I haven't gone and turned them off yet.

Most of the ones I receive are in reponse to something I have 'said' in a thread or in reponse to an e-mail/pm I have sent to someone. Lately I have received a few inquiries to write stories so I am working on those PM's to reply too. PM's are welcome, espicailly since the people on teh board seem for the most part nice or at least polite. I have no problem if you disagree with something I post....but is 'yelling' really necessary.

I love to send and receive PM's...

And have a number of folks I regularly stay in touch with. Others, as some of you here can attest, whom I drop a line to about a comment or attempt to playfully engage after I read something you've written. About an equal number of male / female correspondance.

Generally, the sexiest PM's are from folks I've been interacting with, or whom I send something playful to. I don't think I've ever gotten a really blunt or tactless come on from someone I didn't know, usually something wonderfully suggestive based on a thread or response. Of course, blunt or wonderfully suggestive would be in the eye of the beholder.

I appreciate PM's that are good-humored or intentionally provocative... take that anyway you like
