Hi

Can anyone suggest an author for me that uses ordinary believeable characters ?

Just recently when I search for a story, the title and synopsis seem to be good, however I seem to be going through a spell where all I am getting is unfeasible characters and situations.

The woman always has 38dd tits - stops traffic with her looks - and has a tight pussy ??? and cums constantly throughout by virtue of nothing more than someone touching her.

The man always has a huge cock which constantly dribbles a huge stream of "pre-cum" who fucks her 5 times without going soft and cums a torrent everytime.

It seems to me all these stories are written by adolescent (mainly U.S. it would seem) boys who have some sort of obsession with the ass (nothing wrong with that) and with the idea that all men walk the earth with constant streams of "pre-cum" dribbling from their cock.

Is there someone out there that's writes about ordinary, plain everyday people, with flaws and imperfections both of body and character, with feasible storylines that you can immerse yourself in ?

I want to be turned on by these stories not be turned off by the first mention of the dreaded "pre-cum"

Checkout my story "My Brother's Ghost" in the erotic horror section or click the link in my signature. It's a ghost story wrote from a real world; believable sense with an excerpt at the end of chapter 6 to explain the story behind "My Brother's Ghost".

I like some stories of dutchrain, Firebrain, jessy19, kendra1980, swriter, Melly1986, Lutessa02, makemewet69. Give them a try.

Of course neither develops real characters like in a novel, or if they do, the story is a good read for me but not a turn-on. Most here is functional literature. Real problem stories do not turn on.

If you enjoy F/F, my "Stringed Instrument" might fit the bill. TessMackenzie also has some good ones in that line.

Good luck. I've got a mix of approaches: in my sillier pieces, the women tend to be borderline-ugly and the men ordinary-looking. In more serious pieces the women are pretty and the men good-looking, but nobody stops traffic. My characters mostly have bodies that behave like bodies--with refractory periods and all. Penises big in comic pieces, otherwise just penises behaving more or less like penises.

There's a range of practice at Lit. For a lot of people, superhuman bodies are a turn-on; others prefer something more realistic. Some swear by breast and penis measurements, others don't. Few try to reproduce reality exactly--that's not what fiction does, and fantasy fiction especially tries to introduce you to lovers you'd like to encounter in realities you'd like to inhabit, or at least visit, rather than returning you to the dull reality of your actual life.

Try finding a few authors whose approach pleases you and stick with them.

You could give beachbum1958 a try, especially 'Rag Doll', 'Big Girls Don't Cry', 'Nia' or 'Soldier Doll'; they all have nicely developed, ordinary people who have to deal with difficult circumstances. 'Big Girls Don't Cry' has a particularly heart-wrenching conclusion, it actually made me cry. 'Rag Doll' is such a great story series that a couple of chapters have been sitting in the I/T Hall of Fame for over a year now, so it must be resonating with a lot of people.

You can try some of mine...none of the men have monster cocks or at least I don't tell you about them...they have a cock, the women have pussies and tits. They do have pretty or handsome faces. I don't go in for descriptions of super people.

You might give Warrior's Choice a look.

fannyrat has hit a pet peeve of mine. Too many Lit stories read like Penthouse Forum letters (anyone remember those?). More Lit authors should give readers' imaginations space to work. The mind, far and away, is our most erogenous zone.

In my own writing, I avoid cliches, bra sizes, cock length, and the like. I enjoy the challenge of creating characters who are believable people caught up in the passion and intensity of the situation. This doesn't mean the sex can't be hot and nasty, sweet and romantic, sweaty and self-serving, etc.

Some authors not yet mentioned that I'd recommend (this list trends D/s):
le_kitty
justahole
North200
ErisJade
small_town_girl
MrsSmith_Shhh

Try some of mine. There is something there for everyone. :D

Okay, I'll join the horde

Here are a few of my favourite authors. I don't know what genre you like, so I've included a bit of everything:

Noble_Truth
PacoFear
Texas Refugee
BackyardBottomslash
HisPet21
Goldeniangel
ablondegoddess
leapyearguy
Stultus
evanslily
bashfullyshameless
Bramblethorn

Fret not. Here's a link to my favourites page where you can find a direct link to all the above mentioned authors:

These are relatively old authors. I haven't read stories in quite some time, so the list isn't exactly updated.

They aren't exactly perfect. They may not even match all the checklists you've made, but I think they have a certain quality to them that makes their stories unforgettable. I loved their stories, and I hope you do too.

Enjoy your list.

I find generally that characters in the romance genre tend to be a bit more realistic a lot of the time. Sci-fi as well. Not entirely so, but you don't usually find so many 38DDD women or guys with 12" dicks or some of the other usual tropes.

Here are mine if you'd like to check them out.

MugsyB also has some good ones, and I second the recommendation of others like evansllly. Sorry I don't have more to offer; haven't been reading much, on or offline.

Except in satires, while my characters may have a few cartoonish qualities, exaggerated anatomy and superhuman fuckability ain't among them. I certainly cannot squeeze much character development into the 3700 words of one LIT page but my reality fetish pushes me to at least try for believability. Some of my created players receive praise for being well-rounded and not cartoon cutouts. Most are based on actual people so I need only plagiarize reality and Voila! the task is done.

Who wants to read about ordinary people? My real life is chock full of ordinary looking, ordinarily powered, boring people! I like my erotica to be a cut above real life. Give me giant throbbing cocks, hoover-enabled pussies, tongues like tentacles, and sexual athletics worthy of the Olympics.

These come to mind immediately for me. I could list at least another couple of dozen who are as good as these, but none that are better. Keep in mind I only read a very few categories (LW, Group Sex, Erotic Couplings) so I never see stories by many other comparable writers.

Joesephus
FrancisMacomber
SirThopas
Patricia51
Angiquesophie

Again, this is not a definitive list, but it will at least give you hope that there are outstanding storytellers on this site. You just have to wade through a lot of crap to get there. That's the same case in mainstream publishing, not an indictment of this site.

Not sure which categories you're into, but I guess this is as good a time as any to plug my stuff.

Closing Night High Ch. 01

This is an older man/younger woman story posted in Erotic Couplings.
The guy may be physically flawless, but he's flawed in other ways. And his member is modeled after one of my favorite past partners, so it's completely realistic, trust me ;)

I'd suggest my stuff - I never get graphic with descriptions and I don't remember putting a single measurement in a story. And I do a lot with character development and plot. But... my characters, while flawed, are almost all attractive and in the 18-35 range, the upper end exclusively male. And my settings aren't often in the Here and Now. Romance, when it shows up, doesn't arrive early. Maybe not quite right for you.

But you could take a shot at:

https://www.literotica.com/s/why-i-love-my-job-ch-01
https://www.literotica.com/s/why-i-hate-my-roommate-ch-01 (note the perspective of the narrator is a little bitter and somewhat exaggerated; and the references to guys stopping in their tracks are hyperbole :)

You certainly found a way to get authors to leap forward with suggestions.

Finding stories deeper than a woman's breast size is difficult. Finding stories about plain people or heavy people is difficult--unless the homeliness or size is the focus of the story, almost making it a fetish.

I like Rehnquist (is he still around?) and FrancisMacomber, Dreamcloud, Oshaw. They wrote good stories. I liked Joesephus too, rest in peace, but it's been a while since I've looked at his.

That's hardly a surprise. Many writers here are male. Men tend to be visual and consider beauty an important or even essential characteristic. And most readers are here for the sexy escapism; if you want to contemplate overweight people, just walk down any street and you'll see as much as you like.

This is on the verge of turning into a discussion of Male Shallowness. Yay for males and shallowness. Every source I've ever read, ancient and modern, everywhere, indicates that men have always prized beauty highly, and the beauty products and clothing industry are ample proof that women acknowledge and ultimately accept that. It's the reality we live in; it's never going to change; so I write accordingly. As far as I can tell, so do most females.

Mine are kind of the same. All characters are described as sexy, but that can be very different body types, from flat-chested to heavy chested, athletic to curvy. In my first stories I used to put cup size letters sometimes (A, B etc) to describe females, but I stopped that, and use words to paint a picture of what they look like. I actually stopped putting an exact age too unless it's essential for the storyline. I recently published one where age difference was part of the story, and then it felt justifiable.

I don't think I've ever written a story about gals with 38DD tits or guys with 10" cocks. I will mention in passing that a woman is amply endowed (although most of them aren't) or a guy has low-hanging balls. But that's about as descriptive as I get regarding their sexual apparatuses.

I've always written about people who are ordinary in every way except that they have high libidos. The men have performance anxiety, and the women menstruate. It's just part of who they are, and they take it in stride and have fun anyway.

I guess that a good example of my stuff is the series "A Very Private Beach."
