Can anyone spot the irony?

Can anyone spot the irony...

...of some people in California and Oregon asking to secede from the Union? One of the most liberal parts of the nation has people validating the political arguments of the 1860 southern states that claimed they had the legal right to secede from the US. Those on the left coast are affirming that Lincoln prosecuted an illegal war against the South.

And don't say that the war was about slavery. Lincoln clearly stated that it was about the preservation of the Union. The Emancipation Proclamation did not free slaves in Maryland, Missouri, Kentucky or Delaware. It only applied to states in rebellion to the Federal Gov't.

So the biggest irony on the planet is left coast liberals validating the Confederacy. That is just fucking rich.

What I find hilarious is that big chunks of California would be happy to stay with the Union, but those "red" areas all tend to be the parts from whence the urban areas get their water, power, food, raw materials, etc.

If California secedes, and the red parts of the state secede from California (because for the same reasons that Ca. left), I wonder how long it would be for special snowflakes paying $50 for a Starbucks ($15/hr min wage plus the cost of now "imported" water) implode.
