Can anyone help me find this story?

Does anyone else think/pray that one time they open a thread like this that a person could be asking about your story? Or is it just me? Trying to convince myself that my stories are sooo fantastic, so memorable, that how could anyone possibly forget them because it is listed on their favourites page, just isn't working yet.

And when people give a link to a story they absolutely hate, could they put a title or author next to it, so I don't worry that it's one of mine? One time CV had a link posted, and after a week when curiousity[or boredom?] got me, I clicked on it, and it was my bloody story s/he was trashing! [and no, I don't usually hold grudges, but this time I am really trying!]

I think we all wish for that. I remember visiting Lit years ago and had forgotten about it until my fiance told me. I had read a story, I don't remember the name, that still sticks in my head.
Now, I've got 11 stories of my own. 8 have hot ratings. But will someone remember them next year? I doubt it. No votes lately so the interest has died. I just need to get off my butt and get back to the projects that are pending.

Earlyer this year, someone posted a "Does anyone have 'xyz'".

Just happened that I did have a hand writen copy of the story. It was one that I had made while in High School.
