Can’t quote in PMs

Since the weekend I cannot quote something in a post and then put that quote into a PM.

This did work for me but now in a PM the “Insert quotes” button is not below the text box in my PMs.

Are you trying to quote from a thread and insert that into a PM? I only tried to do that once after the forum upgrade and I wasn’t able to so I assumed that wasn’t an option with the new forum. You were able to and now you are not?

I have generally done this by Copy and Paste; Copy the text or image from the post and Paste it into the p.m.

This is correct, it was working and now it isn’t.

It takes an extra step to quote to a PM. Here’s how I was able to do it:

* First quote it in the thread

*, Then hit the brackets icon [ ]

* Then copy and paste to PMs

Okay all you kind people that responded to this, had one of you pointed out that I was being delusional you would have in fact been correct.

I am really very sorry for wasting your time but in mitigating circumstances I plead I was distracted and busy with so much at the time that my little brain failed to compartmentalize what happened where.

Pity there isn’t an active user who is also a site admin that could have stopped this absurd request long ago and saved me some embarrassment.

Just so you all know, I never did what I claimed and it cannot be done. I quoted PM text and inserted that into PMs not what I originally claimed.

Big thank you to @AlexBailey for showing how it can be done and once again I apologise for wasting your time.
