I like to camp in remote locations, this is the view from a clearing I've camped for years in central Florida. It is the Rock Springs run of the Wekiva river in the Lake Mary area above Orlando. Nothing there but solitude, and the occasional deer, alligator, or passing boat. It's about three hours to the site by canoe, and is inaccesible by land (unless you happen to be a ranger or on horseback.) I hope someone appreciates the picture, would love to see similar posts.

oops . . . something went wrong . . .
okay, I see the adress in the little "attach file" box, (it was there last time too) so let me try again.

sucks being a virgin

Pretty nice... I dont have any pictures of it as a camera would have been to heavy to carry at the time... Boundary Waters is up on the boarder between Minnesota and Canada.... Talk about a beautiful place... We spent over 5 days canoeing over 50 miles of the area... It was so wonderful and peaceful and beautiful... *sigh* I would like to go back, but when you think about how dangerous that really was, you begin to wonder if it was really worth it...

I'm a big camper too. I love winter camping though, to get away from the heat of New Orleans. Alaska is great, just because it's Alaska :D

Dinga ding ding ding ding ding ding dinng (to be sung in the style of a banjo)..............thats the first thing that sprang to mind when I saw your pic.........but now I'm getting a "Southern Comfort" vibe as well too.

I have heard about that area LordMagic Man, that it's argueably the most beautiful part of the world for camping and canoeing, I'll make it up there someday.

If you find a picture, please share!

Thanks for the comments LovestoRead!
