-- Chapter 0 : Introduction --

The green room of the studio. Anxiety building in her veins, Valentina began to have second thoughts. Even after a very extensive interview process, health examination and oh so many questions, she felt that she was getting in over her head. This was Eviction, the most popular and most scandalous show on television. As a professional that relies on social media, she began to worry that making a fool out of herself, on television no less, would ruin her current career. But the prize, that of a million dollars and a contract with the largest television station, was just barely enough to keep her from storming off just minutes before the series started. That and her incredibly supportive husband, of course. He slightly chuckled at the site of his beautiful wife, Valentina, squirming in her seat in sheer anxiety. After all, she was normally incredibly confident. To see her like this was not something he'd normally see in their years of marriage. It was a rare treat but he wasn't going to savor it.

"Nervous I take it?" Martin asked, sitting besides her on the leather couch. A light chuckle was shared between the two.

"How did you ever figure that one out?"

He reached over and squeezed her hand lightly. His finger caressing the wedding ring on her finger.

"Don't worry about it. You'll be fine."

"Easy for you to say. You're not the one with an entire nation ready to judge and ridicule you. Oh god, just thinking of my followers on Instagram..."

Another chuckle. Valentina squirmed in place, with her loving husband scooting over and holding her tight. He raised her hand and gave it a gentle kiss, trying to wordlessly reassure her.

"Two minutes until show time,"
a garbled voice said over the loud speaker.

Valentina stood up, her hand still clasped in Martin's. It was now dawning on her that she would be without her loving husband for ten whole weeks. No letters, phone calls or contact of any kind. She was going to feel completely alone without him.

"I'm going to miss you so much." Valentina said, nervously biting her lip.

"I am too," Martin responded, bring a hand to her face. He stroked her cheek and she closed her eyes, as if memorizing his touch. "I'll try to watch the show as often as I can."

Valentina then felt his lip against her own. It was a strong kiss, coaxing her to part her lips, allowing her husband to slip his tongue into her mouth. For just a moment, their tongues twirled around each other, savoring the last time they would be together.

"I love you." they both said at the same time, with one last chuckle.

"All contestants, please report to Soundstage A," the garbled voice returned. Moments later, the door opened and a studio hand stood in the doorway, waiting to escort Valentina to the soundstage.

Without another word, they kissed before Valentina walked towards the stage.

But as calm as Martin appeared, he couldn't help but worry. Valentina was a beautiful woman, with curves that constantly drew attention to her. With her body, curves and famously large breasts, just what kind of people would she attract? What kinds of degenerate perverts would target her specifically? Eviction wasn't the type of show where they'd pick the most noble and classy people. While Valentina was, in person, a soft and pleasant woman with morals and values, could he say the same about the others? What if they picked her with the intention of making her real personality clash with those who weren't like his beautiful wife?

He shook his head as he made his way out. It would be weeks before he'd see his wife again in person. He couldn't start those ten weeks thinking like this.

..

Valentina stood patiently outside of the house, set up right on the stage. Her heart was banging in her chest like a drum, anxiety coursing through her veins as she stood there, knowing that the cameras were now rolling. She gazed around the eleven other competitors she face. She couldn't get a good view of all of them, but among the ones that she could see, there was:

One man, who looked 18 to 22 years old. He seemed to be either in his senior year of high school, or freshman year of college from what she could get. He stood around with a cocky grin on his face. He seemed familiar, but she couldn't pinpoint what it was. No doubt that he was one of those rich, preppy, trust-fund boys from the area.

Another man, to his right, was a bit taller but a lot more built. She vaguely could recall his face. Wasn't he some up and coming celebrity? It was hard to keep up with the scene around here, but she absolutely knew him from somewhere on social media.

And to the right of that man, was someone just as tall, except he was wearing a business suit. Valentina recognized him from some magazine that she picked up the other day at the mall. Wasn't he some entrepreneur? She wasn't too sure what he did, but she knew that he was well-off and controversial for some reason.

Just as she was about to glance at the other contestants, slowly the doors to the house opened. It creaked exaggeratedly, the noise most likely coming from one of the speakers in order to entice the future audience. With that, everyone began to walk inside. Was everyone as nervous as she was? Valentina could only hope...
