Annalise Treville led a double life.

By day, she was a successful engineer working at a large firm in downtown Chicago. She was quiet, reserved and very professional, but she could be a fireball if someone questioned her work. She had long, dark hair which she often wore back in an entirely practical ponytail, and glasses which served to obscure wide, pretty blue eyes. She tended towards practical clothing - loose-fitting blouses and pants. She was... unusually well-endowed, particularly in the chest and hips, and because of that and her clothing choices, she looked pudgier than she actually was. The result? Despite being a truly beautiful woman, she managed to look little more than average during her day-to-day work. And she knew that. She did it on purpose: a chance encounter with a particular pig during her early working career drove her to ensure that no one would ever underestimate her intelligence as a result of her beauty, by simply doing what she could to ensure that she wasn't beautiful.

By night? She worked as a cam girl. Unusual, perhaps, especially for a woman in a field where she earned more than enough money at her day job. She didn't do it for the money (though she was quite successful at it, and she probably could have made a decent living at it if she wanted). The extra spending money was nice, but she did it more because it turned her on. She loved it. She loved having men get off to the sight of her body and her playing with herself. She was a self-described nympho, needing to get off several times a day (at least) anyway, so why not make a little money at it? She ran her own cam site, where she made most of her money from a few regulars who liked to buy private sessions with her. And there was one in particular that she enjoyed flirting with. He'd been coming on more and more recently, and he had a certain wildness to his imagination that she adored. Even when she wasn't on the clock, she found herself fantasizing about him while she played with herself, which was something she'd never done with a client before. And she spent her evenings waiting anxiously for him to log on. She was starting to wonder if she should be paying him instead of the other way around.

It was a normal Monday when Annalise walked into the office, papers in her arms as she walked into her boss' office. "You wanted to see me, sir?"

Her boss, Mr. Peters, nodded. "Ah, yes, Annalise. I'm glad you're here. You did a great job on the last project, so we want you to partner up with someone new to take the lead on a new project for us."

A grin. "Really?! Thank you, sir!"

He smiled. "Of course, you deserve it for all your hard work. Now, your partner should just be arriving in a moment..."

Jacob Reynolds was a flake. He knew it. His bosses knew it. His ex-girlfriends knew it. But that's because his mind was always churning. Like a duck on a pond, he looked still, but under the surface, his brain was roiling cauldron of ideas. He kept post-it notes all over the house, just in case a particularly clever idea occurred to him. He'd scribble it down and stick it to something. He'd interrupt phone calls or conversations to stop and write something down whenever genius struck.

It was this constant idea spawning that allowed him a somewhat unprofessional schedule and working relationship with his company. He came in late, left early, took long lunches. He got to do this because the company knew that as soon as he had a task in front of him, all else fell away. He'd stay late, work weekends, have lunch meetings. He'd do anything and everything to tackle the impossible, and as a result he often came in ahead of schedule and under budget. It must have been infuriating to the "suits" as he called them: the 9-to-5'ers, the "by the book" set. It may be this attitude that he was never promoted, though some rumors held that he passed on a promotion to department lead so he could stay as a project engineer.

As a result of his behavior, Jake found himself constantly in and out of relationships. Women would be drawn by his free spirit nature only to be turned off by his inability to keep promises or arrive to dates on time. As a result, he got his kicks online. Porn just wasn't what he was after; it felt so impersonal to him. He found cam sites while he was in college. Being an engineering grad student didn't leave a lot of time for relationships. Cam sites came him the sex he was after without all the messy entanglements, or so he told himself.

There was one woman that hooked him and hooked him good. She was gorgeous. He couldn't imagine why a woman like her would be doing this sort of thing, but he didn't care about the reasons why. He just knew that she put on a good show. He'd become such a regular that they'd chat before during and after. Both of them kept online for longer than they probably should. They both must have known that as soon as they were parted, they were both thinking about the next time and the next fantasy they would get to try. Jake was thinking over her as he walked into the building for yet another work day. He groaned as he heard the door close behind him, feeling like it was locking him in and wouldn't let him go for hours. He wanted to be home, playing with his virtual girlfriend, even if it did cost him for the privilege.

His iWatch beeped, reminding him of his meeting. It was the only reason he was coming in this early in fact. He sipped his coffee in one hand and pushed the door to the boss' office with the other. When he looked around, he saw Annalise sitting there in her stupid ponytail and her stupid glasses and her stupid... self.

"Aw, come on chief you want me to lead a project, partnering with her?" He didn't even wait for the boss to say hello and explain anything. He knew what this was and he already hated it; he could care less what the project was.

Annalise's head jerked up at the sound of Jake's voice and her eyes went wide. "No." She turned her horrified gaze to her boss. "No, no! You have to be kidding! I can't work with him!"

Mr. Peters sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Look, I know you two have very different styles of working..."

"Different?!" Annalise countered, shooting to her feet. "Different?! This man can't be bothered to hold a proper conversation without wandering off. He never even bothers to show up for meetings! I've never met anyone so self-centered in my life! I can't even comprehend why he still works here!"

Mr. Peters gave her a sharp look. "Which is why we think you'll work well together. Jake, Annalise, you are both very, very good at what you do. Exceptional, even. But you're both very good at different things, and if you could just figure out some way to work past your surface issues, we think you'll actually make an exceptional team."

Annalise's jaw dropped. "You're serious." She squared her shoulders and glanced over at Jake, clearly displeased. "Great. I get to play babysitter for the man-child."

"Babysit? Babysit?!" Jake stomped over, nearly nose to nose with Annalise. He really didn't like being talked down to, especially given all the good work he did for the company over the years. He always thought he was better than anyone else on staff. He had to be if they were going to put up with his bullshit.

"You ever think that I walk away from you because I realize you've got nothing interesting to say? You come at me with budgets and numbers and trivialities when you miss what it is we try to do around here. We do big things and we do them better than anyone else. Just forget the small shit for once..." Jake stopped as he realized he was near to screaming at Annalise. This place may put up with a lot of his nonsense, but he knew that he was on the borderline of breaking the company's abuse policy.

"Just... stop trying to analyze every step we take this time around. There are other people here just as good as you are. You gotta trust them to deliver." He said, voicing one of the things he wished he'd said so early on in their working relationship. Annalise had nearly micro-managed him to distraction on the last project. She'd wanted reports and timetable at every step of the way as Jake felt he was drawing towards the end goal. If she did that again this time, he wasn't sure he could work with her.

He turned to Mr. Peters, sipping the last of his coffee. "I'll work with her. I'd give it a week before you have to call security to come and separate us." He looked sideways at Annalise standing there. "Well? You wanna get this started now or after lunch?" He said, already sounding annoyed by her.

Annalise nearly growled as Jake yelled at her.

"I'd trust everyone else in the company to deliver on-time and on-budget except you! If you want me to trust you to deliver, you have to learn to actually show up!"

He thought she was over-analyzing? These numbers were required! And she knew better than to actually over-analyze him, because she'd go insane! All she wanted from him was to know when the infuriating man was going to come back from his lunch break! Was that really so hard a question to answer?!

Well? You wanna get this started now or after lunch?

"Of course I want to start now," she snapped, glaring at him. "Knowing you, you won't come back from your lunch break for hours. I'd like to actually get something done today, if you don't mind." She turned and marched out of the office and to her own office, expecting Jake to follow.

Mr. Peters stepped in as she leveled her criticism at him. "Actually, his last 5 projects have come in 20% under budget and a combined 2 months ahead of schedule." Jake just nodded and smugly smiled at Annalise. "But his conduct during a meeting with a potential client cost us an international contract." Jake's eyes widened and he looked back at Annalise.

"One second..." He said to Annalise before turning back to Mr. Peters. "You weren't able to work things out and smooth it over with those guys?"

"It's a Japanese firm. They do things different over there, you know that."

"But they know what we do. We have a reputation."

"Yeah, but when you show up 20 minutes late to the meeting and don't have business cards, that's a big deal to them."

Jake frowned and turned back to Annalise. He grunted out a frustrated sigh as he was sure that was more then enough ammunition for her to ignore what he said to begin with. Once again, she sniped him with a comment about his lunches. He shook his head once she passed and looked at his boss as he lingered in the office.

Mr. Peters just shook his head and shrugged. "You're going to have to find some way to coexist. I got no choice here because this project is a big deal. I'll get you support staff if you need it, but you two are the leads. Go to work."

Jake frowned and turned to the door, dropping his coffee cup in the bin on his way out. Instead of following Annalise, he turned and headed for his desk. Unlike her, he just got here and he had to take care of some "beginning of the day" e-mails and reports. He thumbed out a quick text on his company phone to Annalise's number.

"Be by your desk in 45 minutes. -J"

He shoved the phone back in his pocket and slid into his cube, melting into his chair. He looked at his computer. He wanted to go back to the site, but he knew her schedule. She wasn't going to be there. Also, the IT guys would get a flag on him visiting such a site. Instead, he set to work briefly before pulling the project specs and particulars off the job server. He saw why he was teaming with Annalise on this. This project was going to take the rest of the year to finish, even with support staff. With anyone else it was going to take a lot longer.

"Well, no putting this off any longer..." He said to himself, printing out the sheet and grabbing his laptop to head for Annalise's desk. He rounded the corner and knocked on the sidewall of her cube. Eventually, one of them was going to get an office. It was just a matter of time.

"Anna, Did you take a look at the specs yet? This is going to be one hell of an undertaking." He tried playing nice; he had to for the sake of Peters and the rest of the company.

Annalise rolled her eyes when she realized he wasn't following, but when he sent her the note saying he'd be over in 45 minutes, she forced herself to calm down. He wanted her to trust him? She had to be willing to let him earn her trust if they were going to survive this. And that meant, first, waiting to see if he actually showed up in 45 minutes, as promised.

She spent the interim making notes on on the project timeline. She'd been here an hour already before the meeting had even started, so she'd seen the project outline already. With the scale of the project and the number of people that were going to have to be working on it, she knew they'd need a tight timeline that actually worked. She couldn't overwork them with unreasonable deadlines, but they needed to have enough wiggle room to handle any issues that might arise... so the question was, where was she going to find that wiggle room...

She was completely lost in her work, doodling a flowchart on a piece of paper, trying to work out the amount of time and personnel needed for each stage, when Jake showed up. She jerked, surprised, at the sound of his knock on the wall of her cube, and looked up, surprised to hear him being civil. She glanced at the clock, too - 10am, on the dot. Holy shit. He was actually on time.

She nodded in response to his question, her brow furrowing slightly. "Yeah. It's kind of a monster." She frowned, looking back down at her flow-chart. "Um. I've never worked with some of these people." She held up a list of the support staff on their team - there were little Xs next to the people she'd never personally worked with. "I don't know much about them. You ever worked with any of them?"

Jake took the pad in hand, surprised that she hadn't worked with everyone by now. She'd done just as many projects as he had over the last year. He figured she'd have to meet everyone that way. His eyes scanned the list. Yup, the usual cast of characters he'd worked with were listed on her pad.

"Well, these two are on vacation. We'll meet with them in another... 3 days. Emma and Jones are across the 'hall' from each other so we can talk with them both at once. Uh, Gary's wife is due with their 2nd son in a month or two so he may need a reduced workload. Not sure why he's on the list, to be honest. And the rest we can meet at lunch. They all sit together and chat anyway." For all his aloofness, Jake had a head for retaining information. Everything he'd heard about everyone on the staff was stashed somewhere in his head. This is why he wrote his ideas down; he usually had trouble remembering things in the heat of the moment. In fact, most of what he rattled off were on notes in his place right now. He'd probably seen them all on his way out.

"As for the project itself, I don't know how we're going to break it down into modules. There's no way we can tackle it as one piece, but I don't see how we can break it up." He leaned back in his chair, already thinking about it. As he did, it seemed like he had left the conversation they were having. His mind was somewhere in the stratosphere.

Annalise hadn't initially noticed that he'd "left" the conversation. Instead, she took her pad back and turned her attention to the flowchart still sitting on her desk, picking it up.

"Well, then, it's a good thing I've already gotten started on breaking it down into modules, now, isn't it?" She was still looking the flowchart, so she didn't realize at first that he wasn't paying attention. But as the silence stretched on, she looked up at him, annoyed, and then rolled her eyes. She leaned toward him, snapping her fingers in front of his face until his gaze refocused on her.

"God, Jake, if you're going to ask me a question, the least you could do is wait until I've answered before you space out," she snapped, scowling at him. So much for civility. She handed him the flowchart, crossing her arms with a huff. "As I was saying. I've already started dividing the project into modules, I just need to figure out who is best suited for what. I've already assigned Andy, Mark and Yeshan, because I know how they work. That's why I wanted to ask you about the others. I know their work by reputation, but I wanted to get the information on them personally, from someone who has worked with them before." She paused then, and pulled the flowchart back out of his hands - it wasn't so much meant as a rude gesture as it was a signal that she'd gotten an idea. "Actually, if Gary's going to need a reduced workload because of his kid... Erm, you said the baby's due in a month or so? So if we put him on module 2, he should be wrapping things up at around the 6 week mark, and then he'll be waiting on modules 3 and 4 for completion before he can really get back to work, so he'll have the time to spend with his wife and kid for a few weeks after the birth, assuming all goes well..." She chewed on the end of her pencil, frowning at the paper. "That's perfect, actually. I was worried we'd have someone sitting around twiddling their thumbs for a couple weeks, but if we could give Gary that time off, that'll work great." She wasn't so much talking to Jake anymore as she was simply thinking aloud.

Jake snapped out of it as she snapped her fingers in his face. He'd done it again. He'd left the building in his mind again. He was really trying to control that better, but he did bring an idea back with him from his meandering thinking. He had a vision for what their end product was doing to look like. He had it in his head. He rocked forward, seeing Annalise's flowchart as she put it in his hands.

Jake hated flowcharts. They felt so rigid. How could you make a flow chart without knowing what the questions really are as you go through development? He did have to concede one thing: her flowchart had actually found the borders between the development steps pretty well. He nodded as he saw where she put Yeshan, Mark and Andy: the 3 Amigos. Those guys had been here forever. They were the closest the group had to autonomous workers. He and Annalise could just give them specs and inputs and outputs and they'd come back with a perfectly workable answer.

Gary could do the work she outlined. He hoped he'd keep his mind on things here before he got pulled away by an addition to the family. The Module 3 and 4 as she described them were parallel design problems. They had to be worked on in concert. "Well, let's put Emma and Jones on 3 and 4. They'll need to work together to get it done and they are already situated to collaborate perfectly. They might delay things a little but we can't continue until they are both done. The last 4 on your list, Deborah, Kevin, Mikhail and Jenna, can work together on what I'm calling Module 5."

He held up his hands as she looked at him questioningly. "Hang on, let me show you something." He pulled out his notepad and began sketching, then he did "zoomed-in" sketches. He peeled off post-it after Post-it, nearly decorating her desk with them. "Okay, take another look at the specs, then take a step back and look at the drawings again." He waited, curious if she could see it without him saying anything.

At first, Annalise was just annoyed by the number of post-its he was sticking to her desk. But, for the sake of the company and her own sanity, she'd promised that she would try to work with him, and so try she would. She kept her mouth shut while he stuck the notes everywhere, and tried (unsuccessfully) to keep the annoyance off her face while he worked. Then, when he told her to take a look at the specs again then give his work another look, she sighed and did as asked, though she wasn't sure what help it would be...

She took a moment, going over the specs with a quick glance, and then looked up at the notes. She stood, as asked, and stepped back to look at the whole thing at once. She didn't see anything. Glance down at the notes again, then back up at the post-its. Nothing. Back down at the specs... And then, she started to see it. The annoyance dropped off her expression and her gaze flickered back and forth between the spec sheet and the drawings so quickly one would wonder how she was get any information at all from any of her glances.

After a few moments, she said, "An offset mirror... You want to build the second-half in near parallel." And it made sense, now that she was looking at it. The two parts of the spec had seemed too unrelated, like they should have been two different parts of the project. Half of why she'd had so many problems working the schedule out was because, after this set of modules was finished, she'd assumed they'd need as much time for the second half as the first. But if they did it this way... there would be fewer people per module, sure, and that would extend the amount of time each one would need, but not by that much. And since he'd seen the similarities between the first and second parts of the project, they'd be able to reuse much of the design work from the first set of modules in the second. It was actually quite brilliant.

She looked up at him, a smirk forming on her features. "Shit. Maybe Peters isn't insane putting us together after all."

"An offset mirror... You want to build the second-half in near parallel."

"Exactly. The back half after the front half does its work is almost identical to it. We have to condition the inputs and outputs differently, build in some feed back protection and extra stabilization, but it's basically what we build in Modules 1-4. We just need those guys to work on the other half in parallel." He smiled, surprised she was able to see it so clearly without any help. He'd figured she'd be stuck starting at each individual sketch and never see what he was trying to illustrate.

He snorted a chuckle at her comment about Peters. "Every so often that guy has milliseconds of brilliance and justifies his salary. But I wouldn't trust anyone else." Jake turned and glanced at his office, seeing him on his perpetual business calls.

He turned back to Annalise, speaking as he started picking up his Post-its. "I'm gonna take these and start designing the frame and the case. They hit us with some serious size restrictions and I want to make sure we can give the teams some targets when they start to design." Once again, Jake was already onto the big picture, the final product, before they'd even done any real work yet. "I'll put it on the share drive by the end of the day." That sounded impractical given what was listed in the specs.

As he gathered his stuff, Jake stopped and turned back. "Ooh, right, lunch. We should join the 'Team of 4' in the cafeteria. Meet. Chat. Lay out some stuff. What do you think?" Jake really didn't want to have a big meeting with everyone that dragged for hours. He'd much rather meet with the engineers directly to talk with them about their part. He hoped that style of teamwork wouldn't annoy Annalise too much. To be honest, he was going to do it anyway if she said no.

Annalise was back to working on the modules again when Jake pulled her attention away from it for a question about lunch.

"Oh, um, yeah, sure. Let's do it. They'll need to work pretty close with the primary team on this, so maybe we should plan to have them shadow the modules 1 through 3 teams during the design phase." She stopped and turned her attention back to her work, mumbling to herself.

About an hour later, she was at a perfect point in her work to break for lunch, but it was still a few minutes before Jake had planned to meet in the cafeteria... and she was getting that familiar twinge in her nethers. She took a furtive glance around, picked up her purse, and slipped into the ladies' washroom that was out in the corner of the building, by maintenance. No one ever went in there, it was clean, and it was relatively spacious. Pushing down the toilet lid, she took a seat and shut her eyes, biting her lip as she thought about her favourite client.

Given how... needy Annalise could be when it came to her sexuality, it should come as no surprise that she kept a vibrator in her purse all the time. She took it out, slipped off her pants and panties, and started teasing herself slowly with the little egg. Soon, she was swallowing moans and soaking the lid with her copious juices, her hips bouncing against the vibrator. She slipped two fingers easily into herself, and gasped. A few pumps of her fingers later, and she came silently, shuddering.

Then, satisfied (or at least as much as she could be - she'd probably be back in here in a few hours again), she cleaned herself up, washed the vibe, hid it back in her purse, and headed out to meet Jake for lunch. As she left the room, she found herself blushing slightly at the thought of going to meet him after just having played with herself like that. Odd. She never had that reaction with anyone else.

Luke nodded, conceding that she had a point. In order to mesh the to halves into one, the Module 5 team should know what they hell they are going in the front half. Maybe they could get a good starting point for their work. No need to reinvent the wheel if one of the teams gets to a good design first. He left her to her work; it looked like she didn't even notice him leaving, though. She was already back to work on her schedule and Gantt charts so he left her to deal with that.

Flopping back down at his desk, Luke spent about 20 minutes rearranging his doodles into his original sketch. "Geez, how did I keep this straight?" he muttered to himself as he tried to remember how he did it the first time. Eventually, it was all there before him again and he set to work in his CAD suite. But the longer he worked, the more his mind drifted back to last night at the woman that he spent it with.

Masquerade.

Even thinking the name made his cock swell. His mind was filled as he thought back to images of her laying out for him, arching and writhing from the toys she used to simulate their love-making. His fascination with this woman never had impacted his work before, but his hunger for her had grown more and more as they shared more and more time together. He wished he could see under her mask because what he saw was so beautiful and she could be so sexy when they talked. His watch buzzed again and his alarm to lunch was going off. He'd started using that because he routinely skipped lunch early on in his career simply because he'd be so deep in his work that he didn't want to stop.

He frowned as he looked at the massive tent in his pants. His daydreaming about Masquerade had gotten the better of him. He popped his head up and saw that most everyone was on their way to lunch as well. He knew that he could slip along certain "halls" between the cubes and be in the bathroom without anyone seeing. He moved quickly and slipped into the bathroom, taking an empty stall. He sat, pants around his ankles and gripped his thick cock. It wouldn't be the first time he jerked off at work. He certainly couldn't go to the lunch meeting with this.

It was easy to find material to help; he drifted back to last night in his mind, stroking his cock like he did for her. He bit his lips to stifle and utterances that might slip out and when the time came, he shot his heavy thick load into some toilet paper. It wasn't particularly sexy and decidedly inconvenient, but it had to be done to avoid an embarrassing situation downstairs. He checked himself and took care of some other matters before he washed up and left, feeling a little refreshed and a little naughty.

Jake frowned as he saw everyone had beaten him there as he walked over with his tray from the in house restaurants. "Afternoon all." he said, announcing his presence when he sat. "How's everyone? I'm sure Annalise has been filling you in on our new project." He looked over, letting her take the lead. He was content to listen and eat his sandwich for now.

Annalise shot Jake a look when he said she should talk about the project - in fact, she'd said little but to introduce herself to those she hadn't worked with before. She was painfully shy - while she clearly didn't have a problem with interactions among few people, speaking like this to a group made her freeze up.

"I, uh, well, after looking over the specs, we decided to, to split the group into two teams. The primary team will take care of the first set of modules, and you guys will be the secondary team, working on the second half of the project, in parallel with the first team." She paused, looking uncertain. "I, um, I guess that's basically it...?"

One of the group, Emily, had worked closely with Annalise before, enough to know that she wasn't good with groups, and spoke up to save her. "Actually, Karen, it looks like we'll be working on the matching pair modules, so maybe we should talk." She looked around at the rest of the group. "Actually, maybe it would be good if we all paired off like that, what do you guys think?"

Annalise shot an appreciative look towards Emily and took a deep breath. Then, she turned to Jake, glaring at him. "Thanks for putting me on the spot without any warning," she hissed.

Jake was chewing on his mouthful of sandwich as Emily and Annalise talked over some things. He thought that since planning was Annalise's strength, she would be able to talk at length about the teams and the schedule. Seeing her stammer, he was a little taken aback. When she snapped at him, he was completely surprised. "What? You're one of the leads. We talked about this upstairs. I didn't think I was pushing you in the deep end." He protested, but it was too late. He felt all the eyes around the table; he was the bad guy already.

He took a deep breath and pulled out his pad of Post-its. There were a few eye rolls around the table as some of them hated his ubiquitous talking tool. "Alright, we'll have 5 Module teams. Team 1 will work on all the front end interface. Team 2 works on the signal conditioning for the rest of the tool. Modules 3 and 4 will be working in parallel and you'll also need to work with the 'Team of 4': Deborah, Kevin, Mikhail, and Jenna. They will be working on our new Module 5 because you'll also be working on output versions of your modules. The teams are broken down as such." Jake started writing the lists they had made upstairs. Even though he only saw it once, he was able to recreate it from scratch.

"Get with your teams, work out your schedules and you can pull the casing design off the shared drive tomorrow. I'll have it done by then. Space and heat are going to be our major concerns on this project." He looked around curious for how the team reacted to this sudden gear shift in leadership approach.

The rest of the lunch meeting went off without much of a hitch, and if Annalise was being honest with herself, she was starting to feel a bit bad about snapping at Jake earlier. How was he supposed to know she didn't do well talking to groups? He'd been right - he really hadn't thrown her into the deep end, but for her issues with public speaking that he had no reason to know about.

They split up after lunch and went about the rest of their day normally. Annalise and Jake shot a few emails back and forth, but otherwise kept to themselves for the rest of the afternoon.

But the time 5 o'clock rolled around, Annalise was surprised to find that she'd lost track of time and it was already time to go home. And she hadn't played with herself all afternoon. The moment she thought about what she was going to do when she got home, her arousal roared to life and she actually gasped softly. Going home and becoming Masquerade was always her favourite part of the day. She loved the slow build of dolling herself up, doing her hair and makeup, and getting dressed up in one of her many sexy lingerie outfits. The anticipation was delicious, but she usually had a mid-afternoon masturbation session to ease the tension. This time? She hadn't touched herself since this morning. She wasn't sure she'd be able to wait until she was online with a client to get going. And if she did, she was going to be insane with lust by the time she actually started. Which, now that she thought about it, probably wasn't a bad thing.

She was in a big rush to get home, so she tossed all of her things into her purse and bag, and hurried across the office to the elevator as fast as she could without breaking into a run. She was waiting impatiently for the elevator to arrive when she saw Jake approaching her. She cursed under her breath, even as her gaze swept up his body. Oh, wow. He was actually quite handsome. How had she not noticed that before?

Cut it out, Annalise, she told herself crossly. You're only thinking this way because you're in a state where you'd fuck anything with two legs. Surely when she came in tomorrow morning, she'd see that he wasn't particularly good-looking and go back to feeling totally normal annoyance with him. Right?

Before he could open his mouth, she cleared her throat and started rambling. "Hey, look, I'm sorry, but I gotta go. I have... I have a thing I have to do. Uh, places to be and all that. Email me if you need something, but I gotta go." The elevator door dinged and she stepped inside, wondering if she could possibly have made herself sound more foolish. Blushing, she turned back around to look at him and grinned sheepishly. "Uh. See you tomorrow, I guess."

Jake was glad that the lunch meeting went as well as it did. After Annalise's comments and his delineation of the teams and modules, they were actually able to speak intelligently about the project. Everyone had seen the specs and people already had ideas by the time they left the tables to go back to work. Jake was glad to see they were getting off to the right start. He wanted to apologize to Annalise for forcing her to talk, but she was one of the first to leave, eager to get to work. He figured he'd got to tomorrow.

As he watched her walk away, however, he picked up a certain swing in her hips, a trait of her gait that he hadn't seen before. There was a quiet confidence there, a strong woman under the loose blouses and slightly baggy pant suits. He also saw a little flick in her hips. Deep down, he could see that Annalise was probably a woman that knew her body and how to use it. He smiled and shook his head. You're projecting, man. You've got Masquerade on the brain. It's not her; definitely not Annalise. he told himself as he dropped of his tray and went back to work.

The CAD stylus felt so light in his hand all day and sure enough, he got the case and frame done, both in situ and an exploded view. He rendered the file to see what it looked like in its final form before he saved the design to the share drive. He looked at his watch and saw that he actually finished on time for once. Too many projects had him sitting late nights in his office. Those were before he met his mystery lady. He smiled as he was glad he'd get to see her tonight, maybe he could get her to turn her mic on for him. He shook his head, trying to close his day correctly. He didn't want to be called back or lose time tomorrow because he didn't save something correctly or some other damnable niggle.

Satisfied that everything was set, he powered his station down for the day and packed his bag for home. His mind was already on tonight. Jake's mind went wild with daydreams of what she might wear tonight. Some sites were pages and pages of women trying to get guys through assembly line style for that extra private time cash. Not Masquerade. She loved to take her time with him, tease him and enjoy hours of playing. He wasn't sure how much he'd dropped into her accounts, but frankly, he didn't care. She was intoxicating, like a drug and Jake was hooked.

He looked up as he rounded the corner and Annalise was there. He groaned internally as he was sure they were going to have an awkward silent elevator ride before they got out of here. He dreaded it, but suddenly she looked up and began running off at the mouth, telling him things he didn't need or care to know. "Uh, yeah... um, can you hold the door? I'm leaving too. Diagram is done and saved. With everyone else done for the day too, I figured not much reason for me to stick around so... Is this a private car or something?" He asked as he was stepping to the door. It seemed odd that she hustled on so fast rather than wait for him.

Annalise simply stared at Jake for a moment, confused. Then she blushed harder and held the door for him. "Uh, yeah, sorry. I just kind of assumed you wanted to come talk to me about some idea or something, and I mean, unless really couldn't wait until tomorrow..." She paused, shaking her head. "But you don't care what my plans are for this evening. Sorry, shouldn't have started babbling."

He brushed past her to get onto the elevator and she inhaled. He smelled amazing. How had she not noticed that before? What the hell is wrong with me? I must be way hornier than usual if I'm starting to salivate over the only coworker I have that I actually hate. Though, if she were being honest, just working with him today had been pretty okay, actually. She might not necessarily say that she liked him but hate was probably too strong a word.

"It's cool since you're letting me ride in your elevator." Jake jibed as she apologized for rambling. As he brushed past her through the smallish opening, he felt something briefly against his arm and side. He stepped to the back and felt his eyes linger on her from behind. Okay, those aren't just frumpy clothes, hanging on her weird. Those are actual curves. he thought as his eyes walked down her figure from behind. Everything looked too big on her, except her hips and ass fit in her pants perfectly. He could tell even under her jacket. Has she always been like this? Is she... ashamed of her body? he puzzled, trying to figure out why she'd dress as he does based on his new idea of Annalise. Gone was the slouching, slightly frumpy girl; she'd been replaced by something he did not expect.

He shook his head, trying to clear his head. He shouldn't be mentally undressing his coworkers. Besides, he was going to get something so much better when he got him. He grinned to himself as he reached for his personal phone. He checked the note he made to himself of her show times. If he left now, he'd be able to get home, eat, change and be ready for her right when she came online. He drew a deep breath and realized he hadn't said anything since the doors closed.

"Well, since you brought it up, what are your plans tonight? You seem in a bit more of a hurry than usual." He asked, thinking it was an innocuous enough question as to not be uncomfortable or awkward. Again, as he looked up from his phone, he found himself wondering what Annalise would look like in something a bit more tailored to her body. He shook his head again, cursing to himself for doing it again.

Shit. Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit! She knew she shouldn't have said anything. Now what was she supposed to say?

She looked back at Jake after his question, her eyes wide, that blush that had coloured her features just growing redder instead of fading away. It was too late to pretend it was something normal. Well, a half-truth would have to do, she supposed. "I, um... I have a date," she answered, her voice getting a little lower, a little huskier than she intended. Dammit! She shouldn't have started thinking about her client! She was certainly looking forward to seeing him, that much was true, but thinking about going home and stripping slowly for him had sent a throb of arousal through her body. Given her tone, he probably thought she was going out to some booty-call or something! And hell, it wasn't an inaccurate thought, but it certainly wasn't professional!

The last thing she wanted was Jake getting the wrong impression about her. Or worse, the right impression.

Jake smiled as he heard her voice. He couldn't remember her every sounding like that talking about anything. TO be honest, there was something sexy about the husky tone she used. He kinda wished she used it more often. Whoever the guy or girl was (hell, he didn't know), it sounded like they did something that Annalise really liked.

"Well, enjoy yourself. And don't worry so much about coming in on time tomorrow. I think people will let you slide with 1 late day in 3 years." He teased, knowing she'd be here on time tomorrow no matter what happened. "The group's all have assignments and I'll be here for questions early on."

The elevator hit the ground floor and he waited. From the look of things, he didn't want to get in her way for fear of being run over. "After you." he gestured and waited for her to go first. He was in no hurry. He had a feeling Masquerade would wait for him. After the last few visits, he was sure there were a lot of things she'd do for him. It may have been a financial-based relationship, but he could tell that her displays weren't just for show. He grinned as he thought forward to what he'd ask her this time.

Annalise was relieved that he didn't react much to what she'd said. His response was pretty normal, pretty civil. Maybe he'd just missed the tone? Probably not. But it said something that he hadn't judged her for it, she supposed. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all. She'd been thinking that a lot today.

She headed out and hurried home, but the moment she stepped through the door of her apartment, everything slowed down. The way she prepped for her cam sessions was a ritual. She took a long, hot shower, shaving ever inch of her body but for the little tuft of hair she left on her mons - she liked to be shaved clean, but found no hair at all looked uncomfortably immature, so she maintained a small, well-groomed little triangle just above her lips. Then she covered every inch of herself in lotion, pinned her hair up in tight rings, and began to apply her make-up. By the time her make-up was done, she could let her hair fall into beautiful, tousled curls. And last but not least, her outfit. Today, she selected a sweetly sexy blue lace teddy with a pair of matching stockings... and, of course, a lavish navy blue mask. After all, how could she call herself Masquerade without it?

The mask ploy had started as a way to ensure that her conservative family would never find out about her. None of her clients could see her face, and it protected her from the weirdos who would want to either find her or attempt to release her information to the wider world. Now, though, many of her clients preferred the masked look. It lent the sessions an air of mystery they seemed to enjoy, and Annalise found that it helped her to shed the trappings of her more conservative identity and really let loose in front of the camera.

By the time she sat down on her bed to start a session, she was already achingly aroused and soaking through the thin fabric of her panties. She couldn't wait to start - and lucky for her, her favourite client was already online. She grinned and opened a chat window with him.

Hey sexy. Care for another private session this evening?

Jake drove him, careful to avoid a ticket, but a bit more aggressive than he would otherwise be. He wanted to make sure that he didn't miss his chance to get Masquerade all to himself tonight. Finally arriving home, he dropped his bag by the door and yanked his tie off as he walked towards his bedroom. His work day clothes all came off and hit his hamper. He stripped down completely and grabbed his robe. He wasn't going to need clothes tonight.

He needed a quick meal so a handy frozen dinner was cooked quickly and consumed almost as fast. He looked at his watch and it was nearly the start of her schedule. "Crap... I'm gonna miss it..." he muttered as he cleaned up the remnants of his hastily devoured "food". He got to his computer and set the mood of the room correctly. Sitting down, he logged into her site and waited.

No sooner had her name popped up in his indicator panel than he got a PM from her. Jake smiled wide as his heart started to pound in his chest. He quickly typed out a reply.

I'd love one. I do have one small request tonight before we begin.

He hit enter to let that message reach her first. He swallowed as his fingers wavered. "She'll say yes." he told himself as he typed up the follow-up.

Will you turn on your microphone tonight? I've talked a lot about how aurally stimulated I am and I think it's time to try.

He hit enter and waited. He hoped he hadn't pushed too far. They'd been talking so much more beyond the shows and he hoped that meant she liked him more than the average "client" as she called them. He bit his lip as he watched his cursor blink.

Annalise sat back as she received his response, thinking about it. She had a mic - a nice one, too, not one of the crappy built-in things that come with most laptops. But she used it for other things. She'd never used it for her cam site before. Maybe it was paranoia - she knew most other girls had sound - but she'd always been afraid someone would recognize her somehow, and then use that against her...

But she'd been talking with this guy a lot recently. They had a real connection. She felt like, despite the weird context of it, they were almost friends. She could trust him, right? And so she nodded.

Okay, let me just get my mic set up. She plugged it in, tested it, and then opened up a private cam room for him. She smiled into the camera, biting her lip and arching her back a little to make her breasts strain against the lace of her teddy. "Any other requests before we begin?" she asked, pleased at how rich and dark her voice sounded. She hoped he liked it.
