It was unique with each partner, because each partner was unique, but I fail to see how nationality made any difference or figure into the sex at all.

I suppose it may be somewhat difficult to understand for a European living in Europe. You don't have the same difficult history with race relations that Americans do. We've gone to war over that issue, and there are still some who think the wrong side lost.

I would also point out that your experiences with women of different cultures did not cross any racial barriers. (Unless you're Asian or African, and I somehow missed that point).

For centuries interracial relations were not only taboo, they were illegal in this country--and in some states, that has only changed in the last 40 years. Despite various efforts at integration, there are huge pockets in this country where the races are still almost completely segregated. There are western states that are almost completely white, and inner cities that are overwhelmingly black.

For those who do manage to get past all of that, there are various reasons to be attracted to persons of different races or to prefer stories about interracial sex. The contrast in skin tones, by itself, is a strong attractor for some. Others are drawn into the power relationships. Some are fascinated by the cultural differences. There are many different things at work, to varying degrees, in these situations.

And I haven't even started talking about Asians and Hispanics (not really a race, but often treated like a racial group).

Some people are attracted to blondes, others like brunettes, and still others prefer gingers. And some people are attracted by skin color, culture, or other characteristics. There's no accounting for what turns different people on.

You do have to consider that in the US, the history of race relations is troubled, to say the least. I had to google it, but -- the US Supreme Court didn't call laws forbidding interracial marriage unconstitutional until 1967. And even with that, the last state law wasn't officially repealed until Alabama repealed its law in *2001.* (Again this is from Wikipedia, so I'm not saying it's not the definitive source.)

People of all races probably have fantasies about being with people of other races, whether it's black/white, Asian/white, Asian/Latino, or whatever. It may seem odd that it's any kind of kink, but for some people, it is and it's no better or worse in my view than preferring long or short hair or a taller or shorter person.

I'll go even further to upset you, though. Through quite a bit of research, I have found that a lot larger proportion of black men I've encountered have big cocks than white men I have encountered--and it's pretty much a fetish of mine to have appreciated the difference. Literotica already has a tags system which allows people to search for "GM + black man + interracial". It isn't perfect... Scratch that, it could use many improvements. But perhaps improving it to accomplish what sr71plt wants (that is, provide an easy way for readers to pick exactly what they want to read) isn't so far fetched.

That's a big problem with freeform tag systems. Perhaps it would have been better to have obligatory tags (e.g., for the category) and optional tags (e.g., for specific kinks). Also, to keep it consistent, the tags would be selected from a list, rather than freeform, and a completely new tag (if needed) would have to be approved by the site.

Of course, converting the current tag system to something different would take some effort.

It could still have those same lists, generated dynamically depending on the tags selected by the user (e.g., most favorited for "GM" + "black man" + "interracial"). And using tags instead of categories doesn't impede having a monthly contest "per category"; it's just a matter of having those obligatory "category tags" I mentioned above.

Well, it doesn't really matter, does it? It's quite an undertaking, so I doubt they'd do it, since the site seems to be working well enough as it is (from the perspective of the site owner).

And yup, I do have my little campaign. Finally got Laurel into it and the results were as expected. A lot of rambling, backpedaling and in the end she left and left her mod to deal with me.

It was worth it for self edification, but asking her to actually enforce a rule(which would mean more than a 5 second scan of each story) is about as realistic as them adding sub categories to existing categories.

So what's left is snide remarks and pot shots about it.
