Calling All Dykes...A Question of Hair

Hello! I'm new to Lit, but so far I love it here. I have a quick question about pubic hair, and I figured you all would be the perfect audience for it.

I had a conversation the other day with my best friend about shaving, and she told me that many other gay girls have chastised her for going totally smooth, so she's stopped doing it. I do it for work (exotic dancer), but I also personally enjoy the feel and look of it on myself.

I guess I can see where they would be coming from, the argument being that a shaved pussy propagates the male definition of a sexy pussy. Or maybe some don't like the ultra-femme look of it. I don't know.

My questions to the lesbians out there are: How do you feel about a girl shaving all of her pubic hair? Do YOU shave all the way?

I know it's in fashion right now for straight and bi girls to shave, so my question is really directed more at the straight up lezzies.

I don't know about your friend's crowd, but over the years the only politics I have ever encountered about shaving has to do with it in general (legs, armpits, etc) rather than specifically pubic.

There is such a variety of looks and interests, I doubt that there any "party line" about whether having a smooth mons is kowtowing to the patriarchy or not.

Personally, because I like skimpy bikini's, I trim with manicure sissors -- waxing or shaving or (shudder) tweezering doesn't appeal to me.

What's important is having choices.

Good question

I don't think it's so much of what men enjoy. For me, I think either closely trimmed or bare would be best. Easier to enjoy your partner without the trouble of a mouth full of hair. Personally, I keep mine bare if I can, simply because I feel cleaner without it.

Matter of preference.

is for my lovers to be completely smooth...I just don't like the way hair looks or tastes...

myself... i'm smooth... razor shave daily and finish up with the Seiko Clean Cut. I love the feel of it... the easy access... the look. My girl is trimmed only and it suits her.
Part of sexy is feeling it... you need to be comfortable with yourself... i feel sexy my way... she feels sexy her way... and she IS sexy!
I don't see it as anything more than personal preference... don't be afraid to try anything new... that's my motto.

Okay, this might sound like an idiotic question but for the ladies who do go bare, is there an easier way other than a razor? I've tried a few wax kits but can't seem to get them to work right. I don't have the finances to go to a place to get it done professionally. That gets costly fast. So any suggestions?

I like to be completely shaven anymore. I used to trim and keep it close, now I just shave once a week. I have sensitive skin so if I shave more than once a week, I get irritated. I also use this stuff called Coochie (I got it at a sex toy party) and it works AMAZINGLY to make you feel extra smooth and soft, without breaking out at all!
And .. I also prefer my girl to be shaved or very closely trimmed. I hate pubic hair myself...

Late to the thread but I'll just say I started earlier this year in going completely smooth. And wish I had done it sooner!!

I shave with a razor and use the Seiko Personal shaver daily.

Haven't really discussed it with anyone other than people on Lit - but hey - what's it to anyone but my partner and myself - that is, when I have another partner.
