I have really enjoyed working with some of you guys; I think you're all very talented *simper*. So I think the best writers out of all of us (I.E: those that are dedicated to the threads and are good at what they do) should club together and not just write a thread, but to write a story. I think I've confused you all: what I mean is, that a couple of us get together and write a kick ass story outside the forum (sending it to each other via e-mail) and, with a sense of satisfaction, send it to a publisher. Or we could write a collection of short fantasy stories. Who's interested?

I am! i can write pretty well but i need a few guidelines. i tryed somthing like this once but it failed miserably because everyone wanted to be the main charicter

Roland, you certainly don't need help with your imagination, but what you do need to do is to teach yourself how to reign your exuberence... your style is certainly remiscent of James Joyce (I'm think Ulysses here), and that's not a bad thing, but you need to have some control over your writing. I on the other hand need to stop playing around with sentances and making them too 'dressy,' and to stop making my characters a little 2D.

OK, three guesses as to what I do for a living... from that I thought it would be a little obvious.

I'm very interested. the story would be a medievil story like the ones here, or just a story? I am totally into that and i think my writting skills are up to par. I hope so at least. Im serious about writting, I know that much. :)

as charged

I'd love to help with this, but as I will be going to college in September I might be slow with E-mails. I will do my best to help out though. All I need is a setting.

Although a story with romance would be a good start. Maybe former high school best friends(opposite sexes of course), tell how they feel about each other.

That sounds interesting. The advantage of the controlled environment you propose is that the 'strange' scenes can be re-written. Another advantage is that if everyone keeps writting in character, characters should come out beliveable...

I do have written for fun and been published in a very local and small magazine, so I could help with a few basic writing hints (I did write an article on writing), or anything needed.

I would love to push an idea like this along, with one suggestion. Have 2-3 people write one story and another 2-3 write another. The idea of doing a collaboration leaves me giddy. Especially with the Lady Aline. No offense to anyone else there, but it was her thread that caught my interest. I have also been published in a medium sized magazine and could offer technical support as well. Interested? E-mail me @ Ambrosious@literotica.org.

I'm interested!

but would like some more details on how the whole thing would work...

i also find the prospect of doing this project with such a fine writer as lady aline! although sith is very compitant in what he writes and usually has no inconsistancys

Aww, jeez guys... Thank you for the compliments! I must admit I've had a blast here on these posts.

Here is what I suggest we do; we should elect an editor (a ruthless person that will honestly rip to pieces our work). Also, we need to decide if we are doing a short story collection (under the theme fantasy of course), or one big story were we all decide what happens in the narrative. Obviously the latter will lead the way to lots of, er... creative arguments, so this is why I think there should be only a few of us -four at the most- to dictate the story. The way we would dicatate the story is to either: a) Post it here under a sucured for-our-eyes-only thread, or b) send it to each other via e-mail. Also it would be nice if we can meet up in a chat room somewhere to exchange ideas. If you're seriously interested in doing this, post me your e-mail address and I will get back to you- promise. And I don't break promises, I'm a good girl.

-Lady Aline.

P.S: Ambrosious, Sith... would you like to be an editor? Us creative types need logical sorts to smooth over things sometimes. For some reason I get the impression that you're both logical sorts... me? I'm just one big ol' drama queen...

I have to say that I REALLY want to write out this story with you ladies and gentleman....lately my writing of stories hasn't been going too well but here...it's much, I don't know, fun I guess. Probably it's because we take what the other characters have said or done and interact with it.

You have my support in this story and if you will take me I shall join in the story. I think it'd actually be easier on us all if we did it on a secured thread, that way no one would accidently miss an e-mail and mess everything up.

Love ya all.

Your friend and college,
Shadowman

Yes, I would take on the role of editor as long as I could still contribute to the story. That would mean that someone would have to edit me! Maybe. Who knows. E-mail is Ambrosious@Literotica.org

i think i would prefer a thread for this writing. it will be easyer to retype than it is to retype and e-mail. also i want to say i would like to use all of my 3 chars. Rolando gilliad, Zertaul Kirsha, And Rei Tigero. also i really dont know of any good chat rooms

Umm, I'd like to help, but i'm not a very good writer :(. But I do get some good ideas, so if your stuck, ask me. Or I can get you guys coffee :)

funny guy... you are SUCH a sweetie!... [ggls]

coffee sounds great... also... I'm glad to know someone would just like to thow ideas our way when we're stuck...

this is assuming of course that I'm one of the people helping to collaborate of course.

if not... I too offer my services for ideas...

[smiles]

so who chooses the few who will collaborate anyhow since clearly 20 people working together won't work?

[throwing this question to Lady Aline...]

I'm going to contact the admin. people of this site and ask them which out of all the writers of the threads have impressed them the most. (Basically I'm asking teacher for the top-of-the-class students.) OR we can hold an audition type of affair; we write a short (no more then 500 words) fantasy story and post it. Then readers vote on it. I'll ask admin ppl again for help. And post here to vote for your preferred idea. I assume we have all chosen to co-write a story?

-Lady Aline.

Lady Aline...

You assume correctly... I'm in...

but the thought of an audition!... [nervous tension]

[ggls]

oh well... I leave it to the fates...

[smiles]

i think an audition would be the most fair way of choosing people. but i think that we should have a few people who will participate indefinately.( i dont mind auditioning just say the word!)

Logical? Me, mister 'crazy', someone who is a programmer and likes chess? Maybe we could say I'm logically crazy.

Sith does help to give that impression, doesn't?
Hope my new character Abdusalim hasn't destroyed my reputation as a logical guy... (I'm very bad at poetry)

Any way I can help I'll do. The first thing I would recommend is, that before posting, people write in a word processor and use the corrector...

Amen to that, Sith! But I must confess, I have the syntax of a rabid newt sometimes. *imagines a rabid newt writing bad poetry*
Right, I have started the ball rolling on the audition idea. I have contacted the moderators and asked them very kindly to either: a) judge a short story competition, or b) pick the best writers from the threads. Haven't heard from them yet...

-Lady Aline.

Hey, if you're still accepting joiners, I'd love to work with you guys on a story...any word on the entrance requirements yet?

I would like to help. I have been told that I am a good editor, and a good writer. Ravan67885@aol.com
