Clayton Merryweather, that was the name of the host, the name on all the invitations that were sent out from the old Merryweather house. A house that had supposedly not been occupied for more than thirty years, even though, it seemed to have been maintained impeccably over the years. The guests were ariving, comming up the excessively long drive way in a slow procession, giving one another a wide berth.
Within the house's exquisite dinning room, places were set for each of the guests, set specifically for each of them with an unearing semblance of knowledge about each of their tastes. The covered plates each held their individual favorite dishes, each glass was filled generously with their beverage of choice. The table and the room was lit only by candle light.
A door man opened the large, sturdy double doors to the first arrival, bowing graciously. "Greetings, I am Haz, the Merryweather's butler, please, do come in, you are welcome here." Haz said to each ariving guest in turn before leading them into the dinning area, indicating each of their personal seats at the table, before disappearing into what was assumed to be the kitchen.
The Merryweather host was not present... Yet.
