Got a story?

Is it not quite polished or edited, even though it might be posted?

Do you want detailed feedback and suggestions.

If you can wait a week or two, and you don't mind talking to others in the same boat,

Visit the 'sticky' first thread in the Story Discussion Circle and give your particulars.

There are several excellent critics and writers hanging around, in no particular order, Rumple, Black Tulip, Black Shanglan, carsonshepherd and others of equal accomplishment.

If anyone doesn't understand how this forum works, here is basicly how the Story Discussion Circle forum works:

The general rule in the story disussion board is you must review other stories before you get yours looked at. Its only fair that you share your thoughts on other writers work in return for getting advice. Some of the writers who post on that board like Black Tulip, Pure, drMabeuse, MLyons are very good at giving advice that can be extremely valuable.

The last story on the board that is currently being reviewed is a non-consent work titled "Proud". But you can give your insight on any story on the board if you wish. Just check any of the posts on that forum titled "Grassroots Disc:..." Lots to chose from. Some nice short pieces like Impressive's or Shyabz if you don't feel like reading one of the longer pieces.

After you have done your duty and commented you can post on the first "Sticky" thread titled "Discussion: Feedback and review of stories..." and request to have your story reviewed. The queue for discussion (which right now is a short lineup). It can be a story already posted at literotica or a draft that is intended to be eventualy put up on the site.

When it is posted, your story will be "featured" for a period of about one week so everyone can focus on it, though comments after that week is over are still encouraged and welcome. If there is anything specific in the story that you want looked at then be sure to post your questions.

If your interested in getting your story critiqued please don't be afraid of that forum. While some of the comments might be negative it is always meant to help the writer not to put them down. Unlike some regular feedback that is either "U SuK!" or "Great story!" which won't give you much info on what you are doing right or wrong. And different readers will have different opinions so you can ignore any or all comments on the board if you don't agree.

If you have any questions about the Story Discussion Circle board or are confused please jusk ask.

Even if someone is not interested in having their work looked at with critical eyes you may find the thoughts, advice and sugestions for other writers work usefull for your own.
