Cable Company charges fee to homeowners who attach an antenna to their roof

On Friday, a cable tv company started issuing fees to homeowners who installed digital antennas to their homes.

One customer, B. Right Turds in Montana, when questioning his bill was told by the cable company that as long as his antenna cable is connected to the back of his TV, it is considered by the company to be hooked up to their "grid" and consequently the company needs to access a fee for "infrastructure costs".

Another cable customer, Bob O. Dicksie of Minnesota didn't really understand all the fuss and was quoted saying, shit happens, and was happy to pay the extra fee.

Much like the fees charged by electricity providers in Floriduh and North Carolinacrazy, cable customers will just have to suck it up and pay these fees to enjoy the privilege of having electricity and cable television.

This is push back by the cable companies. Most communities/states require by law that the cable companies carry the local broadcast stations. The local broadcasters have the cable operators by the balls when it comes to fees and demand an exorbitant amount of money per customer. So the cable operators are using this technique to recover those fees.

Right or wrong this is a battle started by short sided politicians.
