Bye,

Stephen Colbert was running a late-night money furnace: 200 staffers, a $100 million annual budget, and a $15 million personal payday, yet somehow still managed to lose $40 to $50 million a year. That’s not a talk show, that’s a televised bonfire. CBS insists his removal “wasn’t political,” but let’s not kid ourselves. It was political, his smug, sanctimonious brand of politics that turned the show into a sermon for the already converted. Same disease that's rotting CNN and MSNBC, both now getting trounced by the Food Network. Apparently, more Americans would rather watch someone sauté onions than hear another monologue about how evil the other half of the country is. Turns out when you treat half your audience like they're beneath you, they stop tuning in. Who knew?
