Do you buy things mail order from magazines or over the net?

Do you buy mail order from outside your own country?

What type of payment do you use? Cheque, Credit card, Paypal.

Do you consider the internet a safe place to email your credit card numbers?

Myself being in New Zealand I wonder if you came across a New Zealand site that sold something pretty unique, would you buy it over the internet? Or would you look for the company that sold it in your country and buy it mail order from them?

I have spent thousands on line. I am a junky. I used to send my card numbers but Paypal is my payment of choice now. I have had no problems. Use secure servers. Some sites will let you send your info by mail if you are uncomfortable with the net.

I know paypal is good at marketing itself but don't know if the thousands use it like they say they do????

With my PTSD, buying on the net is my deliverance! Crowds bug me, so I can browse items, purchase them, and wait a few days for delivery. I always check if they're a secure site before using my CC. If I have any doubt I won't purchase, but will email the company with the problem. I'll wait to see if it clears up.
I have never had a problem to date.
*I have nothing but raves for Amazon.com! :D

I occasionally buy things mail order, but for the most part I prefer to go to a store. I like to feel the object in my hands, stroke it, rub it, sing softly to it...ahem, that is I uh...*cough*

I have yet to buy anything online. I don't have a credit card and I'm not to wild about the shipping charges. I might buy something from a New Zealand site but only if they had something unique to offer and most of the primary things I want that are in New Zealand you can't really buy.

So would you mail order from some company you have never heard of before but their product looks good?

I could hijack my own thread here, but I will not, lol :)

I would if it looked like a product that I couldn't do without a couldn't get where I live. i would want some reasonable assurance that I would actually recieve said product though.

Repetitively mostly just with Amazon.com. A few other one-time-only things we've located online. Use CC. So far no problem.

Just Norton

That's the only thing I've ever bought over the net. I used my credit card.

My cousin is a junkie! Always uses his CC. Never had any problems.

Yes, I shop online all the time and use my credit card. I shop more online than I do in physical stores. I've never had a problem.

I use paypal for purchases on eBay. No problem there, either.

I used to give out my CC info without a second thought over the net. However, once someone got ahold of my information and attempted (not once but twice) to wire themselves $200 by Western Union, I'll only pay online with PayPal. I haven't had any more trouble...yet *crossing fingers*

I've bought, if not thousands, hundreds of dollars worth online, both with credit card and paypal, after checking out the merchant a little bit.
I know the basics of breaking SSL and unencrypting a number, and I also know that it's very difficult and risky, and I'm honestly not worth the trouble to anyone. So I feel pretty secure, and I've never been burned.

I usually buy things through a mail order catalog. I've been using The Sinclair Institute.

But, I think I'm going to get some balls (Hypothetically of course) and go down to the local shop. I think the online things are a bit over priced.

i buy and sell musical instruments on e-bay all the time...for my guitar making i buy nearly all of my supplies including copper, aluminum and other inlay and construction materials on-line...many of the vendors i use at my music store have on-line secure ordering so i have spent literally thousands over the past couple of years and have yet to have a problem...i use and accept pay-pal, have used credit and debit cards, sent money orders and electronic checks so there are many options available...

i have never purchased anything from outside the u.s. and would be hesitant because there would probably be no recourse if you got screwed...

anyway, i'm sold (only small pun intended) on buying things on-line...i live out in the country and it takes me an hour to an hour and a half to get to a major city where i can get the things i get on-line...

if you have specific questions feel free to pm me...

Sure. I've gotten things over the net. I've gotten pills that were suppose to improve the size of my penis...IT DIDN'T!!!!!!!!! And, I got stinky films. I'll leave it at that.
