Someone buy me a digital camera. I really want to have a camera and nowadays I figure buying a 'normal' camera isn't worth it (unless you're a profesional photographer).
Also it could be fun posting pics at Lit,
But I just don't have the damn money. Arrghh.
Does somebody know what I'll have to spend for a camera if I need one just for occasional photographs (like holidays, parties and stuff) ???

Or does someone know where to steal them best?

Keep in mind this is based on US prices, but you can get a digital camera for under $100. If you have the budget for it, you might consider going a bit higher. In the $150 range, you should be able to find a camera that will do photos as well as video that can also be used as a web cam.

From there you can, of course, spend more for higher resolution/faster framerate capture as your budget allows.

Prices for digital cameras ranging from cheap-ass lousy models to professional cameras. If you only want to take simple pictures at parties, stuff to post on the web, just for fun, the cheap junk is actually good enough. Make sure it's got flash, or oyu won't be able to take any decent indoors pics.

Here is one taken with a camera for approx 55 EUR. Not good by any means. But good enough for me.

You don't need a text scanner,just an ordinary scanner (about 30 quid) and a copy of "Textbridge" or somesuch.

As to the mortgage, that's easy, just work hard on making your government communist and you won't have a mortgage, just a plentiful supply of quality rented housing.
