I went to vote on a story tonight, and the way the voting box showed up on my (crappy old) monitor was like this (I hope I can replicate this)

Please rate this
Submission (worst) 1
0 0 0 0 0

5 (best) [SUBMIT VOTE]

(with the far left circle appearing directly over the '5' and the far right circle directly under the '1.')

I meant to give the story a '4' but checked the second circle from the left to which is the '2' block, my eye being drawn from the 5 on the 'left' down to the 1 on the 'right.'

(No, I'm not from Palm Beach County, Florida. I swear!)

I thought this was confusing (let's see if Jesse Jackson shows up on my doorstep).

It could just be my antiquated home computer not 'spreading' the page enough. (Win '95, 13" monitor, working off AOL4.0). But I'm wondering if others are seeing the display the same way and whether that may have something to do with some of the 'anomalous' voting witnessed of late.

Hey, they listened! :)

I and some others mentioned the possiblity a while ago that the voters might be confused by the appearance of the voting choices, mistaking five for one. What NCm describes is exactly what I've always seen on my screen. But we were told that the voting choices were clearly labeled...perhaps this could explain a lot.

Does the link I posted look right to you now as well? I am trying to make sure it's all good before I unleash it on the site. Thanks!

Get a Mac!

Why take chances people?

Well, okay, I'm biased.

Now it looks like this:

O O O O O
1 2 3 4 5 (best)

Except that the circles and the numbers line up.

Here's mine:

Let's hear it for Betty!!

She gave me the courage to buy my first vibe. Hats off!

Does anyone . . . still wear . . . a hat?
