this is sad, he was a true hustler who never met a dollar he didn't like. i used to watch his commercials and think "who would buy this weird shit?" all the while thinking, "well. i'd like to give it a try."
 
He was a real person?

Always assumed he was kind of a brand name, like Betty Crocker or Don Pardo.
 
How many of us as kids bought Xmas gifts for our grandparents and found these handy? I mean...it slices...it dices...how could you not want one? Or the car washer on the end of the hose...it also did windows. And if you bought it right then...they included the attachment to clean your gutters.
