Rodger Queens, a tall man with dark brown hair and a trimmed beard with a hint of grey walked through the house with the scent of fresh cooked steak. Normally ham was on the menu but their son was bringing a new woman to meet the family so Marion was playing is safe and avoiding ham and shellfish just in case.

"What if she's Hindu?" Rodger asked, intentionally digging at his wife's obsessions to appear far more Stepford than he liked. It was her mother's fault for being a mix between June Cleaver and Martha Stewart. Now, Marion just played it up for appearances.

"Don't start, Roy. I don't need the added stress." She refilled her wine and drank from it to calm herself.

"Take it easy, you don't want to pass out before they get here."

Marion shot Rodger a glare but quickly turned back to focus on her garlic potatoes. He just turned and went to check the fire and then do a quick inventory of the gifts. "You have two presents for a woman you've never met?"

"Rodger!" Marion yelled, voicing so much in just his name. She didn't want to put up with him tonight and he knew this meant she just wanted to be her neurotic self. He muttered, under his breath and went to pour a single malt for himself. By the time the doorbell rang, Marion was opening a new bottle of wine while Rodger was just now finishing his first drink. "Get the door!" his wife barked, despite his already being half way there.

As soon as the door opened, Josh smiled, "Happy Holidays!" The young man extended a few wrapped boxes for Rodger to take and motioned for his girlfriend to enter first. It was the first moment Rodger had to set eyes on this woman and greeted her.

"Welcome, I'm Rodger Queens. You can just call me Roy. Mr. Queens would make me feel old." He said with a laugh.

Serena Black stepped from her boyfriend's side and closer to his father. At 5'5, she wasn't exactly short but she wasn't tall either. Her auburn hair reached down to her mid back and had soft waves in it. Her hazel eyes looked up at Roy as she smiled. She was in her mid 20s and 145 pounds.

"Nice to meet you Roy, I'm Serena Black." She says as she steps past him and into the house, her hand in Josh's. Slipping off her coat, she folds it over her arm and looks around. "You have such a nice home, Roy."

"Thank you. I wish I could take the credit but everything here is the wife. From the floorplan to the decorating scheme." Roy's tone was tense, but he continued to remain relaxed as he gestured for Serena's coat and taking a moment to appreciate her healthy looking body. So many women that Josh had dated were so thin he had to wonder if they had eating disorders but Serena looked like she actually enjoyed life. "Let me hang that for you."

He simply left the coat room door open for his son, who was clearly expected to hang his own. "So, Serena." Roy said, trying to make sure he used her name so he wouldn't forget it, "How did you and Matt meet?" He gave her room and time to answer as he continued through to the heart of the house.

He walked her to the den where Marion leaned in and waved, "Hello."

Roy gestured to her saying, "That's Josh's mom. She actually lives in the kitchen so we only get to see one another on the Holidays." He chuckled and his wife grinned at him in jest but vanished back into the kitchen.

"Josh? Serena? Can I fix either of you a drink?" He gestured with his scotch and downed the contents to indicate he was heading that way already.

As Roy took her coat from her, she smiled. "Thank you Roy. Josh, you never told me your dad was so handsome." Taking Josh's hand again she chuckles when he shoots her a look that says 'I can't believe you did that. Behave.'

As Josh let go of her hand to hang his own jacket up, she took the time to answer Roy's question. "Josh and I met at a party. I walked in and just happened to notice him from across the room. He is handsome and has such confidence. I made my way over to talk to him and after hours of talking, he asked me out. That was 6 months ago now." Josh walked back to her side and turned her, kissing her deeply before they continued through the house.

As Marion leans out to wave, Serena waves back and says hi before she disappeared back into the kitchen.

Josh tells his dad that he would like a brandy old fashion and then looks at Serena for a moment. "Dad, make that 2. Serena will have what I'm having." Josh replies, squeezing Serena's hand.

Roy smiled at his son's comment, then gave Serena a glance. "Woman after my own heart." And proceeded to make 3. "Did Josh tell you how I met his mom? I saved her life. True story." He laughed a bit, then offered a hand holding two drinks so that Serena could take one, then the other.

Marion walked in, a glass of wine in her hand with an eye roll. "Don't listen to him. The whole 'saved my future wife from mobsters' story isn't as impressive as you'd think."

Roy nodded, "But it's still the true story of how we met." He reached over to wrap an arm around his wife as she offered her free hand in greeting.

"Nice to meet you Serena." Her smile didn't reach her eyes. The same eyes that scanned over Serena as if she were sizing the woman up. "So, tell me, what do you do? Josh has told us so little about you."

"Come on Mom, can I introduce you to a woman you DON'T interrogate?" To Serena Roy explained, "I forgot to warn you about my mom's investigative journalism. Asking probing questions is in her blood."

Roy smirked, raising the glass to sip but still managing to sneak in, "Always the probing, never the probed." His wife still heard that and jabbed Roy in the ribs with a fake giggle

Serena took the glass from Roy and then handed the other to Josh. "No he didn't. I can't believe he didn't tell me." Josh put his arm around her and she leaned into him as they spoke.

Taking Marion's hand in hers, she shook it. "Nice to meet you Mrs. Queens. I work in project management. It's really boring, which is probably why Josh never mentioned it."

Looking over at Josh, I put my hand on his chest. "Sweetheart, it's okay. I can handle the probing questions. It's nothing I can't handle. Maybe if she asks a few more questions, she will start to trust me."

Smiling sweetly, I look at Roy and Marion.
"Was there anything else that you wanted to know about me? I already mentioned to Roy that Josh and I have been together for 6 months now."

"It's a trap." Roy said, matching the cadence and tone of Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars. Mrs. Queens shot him a glare and he finished his sip adding, "What about this? You ask Josh how much he knows about Serena and then chastise him for not doing his due diligence. I'll make sure she doesn't cheat and find out all I need to know."

Marion's eyes narrowed as if she knew she were caught in a trap but had no choice in avoiding it. "Hmmm. How practical of you." She then gestured for him to walk away and then gestured for Josh to sit down by the fire.

Roy gave Serena a conspiratorial wink and gestured, "Follow me." He walked through the den, to a set of stairs and lead Serena to a second floor of the 3 story manor. This set of stairs was different from the main set near the entry and the wood work was far more rustic.

"When Marion said she wanted to bring in an interior decorator we reached a compromise. This is the one area of the house that wouldn't be touched. This has all been restored, but I made sure they used cedar in the restoration. It's treated wood, but it's still the exact same as when this place was built in the 1800s."

He moved around the banester and gestured to a nearby door, "That leads to the rest of the house. So, when my wife gives you the GRAND tour she'll point to a door and say something about it being storage and to ignore it. This is the 'storage' she'll be talking about."

He moved to the main room and turned on the lights. Inside was a large den, sans a fireplace it still looked more like a movie set from some Victorian Era Fantasy film or Cthulhu-esque horror/thriller.

The walls were lined with book shelves and display cases. A single windows behind a large oak desk was covered with an old Celtic tapestry to keep the modern looking window from ruining the effect since a modern looking window is what would be needed on the outside of the house.

The shelves weren't packed with books, but the books that were there varied from modern Travel Guides and Recently Published Urban Fantasy books in one area, to old texts that had be first printings of Historical reference from Scotland or Egypt. The display cases held odd pieces and tools that looked as if they came from a museum or a Jules Vern novel and spaced evenly through the room were antique weapons, swords and crossbows.

Roy crossed the room to a large globe, opened it to reveal a liquor cabinet and said, "If you still want Brandy I have some 50 year old King Louis. I'd prefer to drink it straight, however." He lifted a half consumed bottle as proof.

Josh leaned over and kissed Serena sweetly before going to sit by the fire with his mother. "Dad, don't be too hard on her since you turned Mom on me." Josh said as Roy started to lead Serena out of the room.

As they ascended the stairs to the second floor, Serena slowed her step as she lightly ran her fingers over the restored wood. "Roy, it's beautiful. It really gives you a feeling of comfort as well as a homey feeling. I can't imagine what the rest of the house would have looked like if it had just been restored without the extra modernization."

Slowly moving around the banister to see what else Roy had to show her, she glanced back down the stairwell, still in awe of its rustic beauty.

Stepping into the room behind Roy, Serena slowly turned as she took in the whole room. "Why would she refer to this room as storage? It's remarkable! You've collected all of this?"

As Roy held up the bottle of brandy, Serena smiled. "Sure. I'll have a brandy with you. On the rocks please." Turning more, her eyes landed in the tapestry covering the window. "Your tapestry...the forest with celtic knots worked into the design of the trees is amazing. Showing that the forest is very much interconnected and the symbol also stands for eternity. Without our interferences, the forest would be able to continue to cycle through for eternity without a problem. So fascinating. Roy, I'm envious of your collection here."

Moving past the tapestry, Serena walked around the room taking in the books and display cases, stopping to examine some pieces throughout the room. Smiling as she returned over by Roy, she looked at him. "I do believe this just became my favorite room in your house, Roy. I could spend so much time in here and keep learning new things."

"I guess I never thought of Celtic knot work trees that way. Life and rebirth within the closed system of the forest. I guess I missed the whole Circle of Life reference because I didn't see it as a circle. It makes sense though and I am more of a fan of the knots than I am of the number 8." Roy admired her eye to detail and set out two new glasses. "I don't have ice. I don't like to water things down. But I do have something just as good." He opened a mini-fridge and pulled out a plastic case. Inside the case were stainless steel gemstone shaped objects. Using a set of metal tongs he put two in each glass then gently poured the Brandy over them. "I have some shaped like bullets if you want to try some Texas Whiskey." He clicked the glasses in toast then gestured to the desk.

"If you want to steal away here and look around I only have one rule. Please use some of the linen gloves in the drawer before handling any of the weapons." He motioned for her to follow and approached a large Eastern style sword with a swirling pattern in the metal. "This one, for example, was made in Sri Lanka and is about 700 years old. They stopped making Damascus swords in the 1700's and it's rumored this is what the rare swords in Game of Thrones were inspired by."

Chuckling at Roy's solution to not wanting to use ice, she took her glass. After clinking her glass with his, Serena took a sip of the brandy. "Texas Whisky is always good. Where did you get these? They are very handy at chilling the drink without compromising it."

As she followed him over to the sword and looked at it while he spoke. "It's beautiful and so well crafted. I wonder why they stopped making them." Stepping closer, her breast brushed against his arm. "I'm sure I can manage not to break that rule, Roy. I'm just not sure where to start! There is so much here and I'm still in awe of the beauty of the room. Between the overall feeling of the room and then the items you have collected in here. Handsome, intelligent and a great eye... Marion is a lucky woman." Being this close to Roy, Serena could smell a hint of cologne mixed with what she could only describe as Roy. It was similar to what she smelled on Josh but different as well, and she enjoyed it.

"I have some good Whiskey from the Rio Bravo area. But these gems came from Scotland. I was there on business and bought them from a guy who owned a distillery."

Roy's sense were sharp, and he knew right away that a breast was against his arm. He shifted his weight, applying just a bit more pressure to make the contact more intentional. He wanted to see if she backed away suddenly or continued the contact for just a moment more.

"As with all things in life, technology happened and the needs for hand crated artistry was all but forgotten. When the industrial revolution hit, no one needs swords anymore. Steam Power and Pistols were the way of things. Who wanted to spend hours upon hours folding metal to sell for next to nothing when someone could make many guns in the same amount of time. Sword fighting itself became a lost art and the guarded secrets of the metal smiths who made this particular blade died with its crafters."

He put a bit of space between he and Serena and smiled, looking her over for a moment and admiring how good she really do look. "When I see a sword like this, my first thought it not about how easily it could kill a man or who deadly it would be in the hands of a skilled swordsman. I think about all the hours that went into this, like a work of art that is both beautiful and dangerous."

Roy sipped his drink, taking his eyes from the weapon and looking at Serena with a similar gaze. She too was a work of art and that is what made her so dangerous.

Serena looked up at Roy as it became obvious that her breast was touching him. "Um... Sorry. I guess I was too busy looking at the sword to pay attention to how close I was." Stepping back slightly, she soothed her hands down over her red dress with black swirls by the hem the ended just above the knee. The swirls helped tie in her tight black leather leggings that she had on.

"I guess I'm one of the weird ones that would take a sword over a gun. Years ago, I took a sword fighting class. It was so much fun. As much as I loved fighting with the swords, I also enjoyed the craftsmanship." Serena walked over and looked at another sword, her ankle high heeled boots clicking on the floor as she walked. Admiring the sword, she bent to look a little closer and reached back to tug at the raising hem of her dress.

Standing up again, she takes a sip of her drink again before looking back at Roy. "Josh never told me what you do for work. What did you do in Scotland? I heard it is simply beautiful there."

Roy watched Serena run her hands down her dress watching how the fabric outlined her breasts and hugged at her hips. It was almost as if she were simply showing off her form. He started to think about his own hands running down that body when she started talking again.

"Mm-hm?" He sipped his drink. "So you actually know what do with a blade." He followed and looked down to admire her ass, which she covered modestly. He felt himself start to stiffen knowing she knew he'd want to look. She was a modest one. A good girl and he wanted to turn her into a bad one. He imagined her in the same position, the oak desk under her fantastic breasts.

He snapped his gaze up when he started to stand and ask her question about what he did. He laughed and drifted into thought. "That's a good question. I have an office I go two, twice a week. I have an assistant I pay 20k a year, to watch Netflix and Hulu while screening calls when she's not studying for her SAT. And my company is classified as 'Risk Management and Consultation.'"

He took a long drink form the Brandy and turned to slightly close the door. "What I actually do is related to why I was in Scotland, and yes, it's beautiful. I didn't get to sight see that much, however. I was there for work." He finished the Brandy and walked to a glass cabinet of various curios. Selecting a small silver box that looked like a small music box made by H.R. Geiger in his early years he put it on his desk without even putting on gloves.

"I'll let you open that box on one condition." He turned and picked up a dark amber bottle and produced the frozen metal bullets he'd referred to early. Two shot glasses were next. One bullet went into each followed by an ounce and a half of the strong Whiskey.

"This isn't the condition. This is just the foreplay." He winked as if to imply he was joking but deep down he wasn't. Picking up the shot glass and pausing he said "You tell me something you don't want my wife or son to know about you tonight, and then I'll let you open that box and explain what I really do when I'm not here or in the office. But here's a hint - I'm kind of like a super hero." He grinned wide knowing it sounded ridiculous as saying he was Santa Clause but he didn't flinch either, almost daring for his bluff to be called.

As Roy spoke and put the box on his desk, Serena finished her brandy. Stepping towards the desk, she admired the box. She looked at the intricate details on the box as Roy poured the shots.

At the foreplay comment, she brought her eyes back to Roy just in time to see him wink. She was nervous for a moment but relaxed at his wink. As he laid out the condition, she set her empty glass down on the desk and watched him.

Laughing at his super hero comment she took a step closer to him, her eyes sparkling. "You are no Tony Stark or Clark Kent, Roy but I am intrigued. I'll do your condition." Turning, she momentarily got lost in thought. "Should I tell him how I have a thing for older guys, or about the one guy who wants to claim me as his own. I don't even know what that guy wants from me. I'll have to deal with him later... Maybe I should just tell Josh about him and he can help. Hmm... I'll go with the safer of my two options."

Clearing her throat, she looked back at Roy again. The sparkle having left her eyes while she has been thinking. "So...something i don't want Josh or your wife to know about me. I happen to be into older guys. They are more mature and seem to know how to handle women better. Don't get me wrong, I am happy with your son, he is just a bit younger than I usually go for. I'm not sure why I made that exception for him but I'm glad I did."

Serena eyed the two shot glasses and then smiled. "Are we going to do a shot or not? If I didn't know better, I'd think you were trying to get me drunk." Chuckling, she stepped closer to Roy.

As she approached, telling him he was no Tony Star, Roy removed his grey jacket leaving only the red turtle neck that looked almost striped with green. The stripes, however, were small Evergreen trees lined top to bottom down the fabric. His leather belt, dark grey slacks and black shoes completed the classy but casual look.

He didn't seem to have on a watch, his only jewelry being a dark metallic wedding wring and another heavy ring on his right hand with a dense design Serena hadn't been able to get a good look at.

Hanging his coat on a rack in the corner he pulled up his sleeves to the elbow, revealing well toned forearms. He folded them across his chest and waited for Serena to answer his question. While her words made him stir and desire her even more, he maintained a great poker face. "I don't think it would bother Mrs. Queens or Josh to know that. He's a very mature young man. I like to think I had a hand in that."

"Guilty! My goal is to get you drunk and then take advantage of you later." Roy laughed, then shook his head. "I'm nervous." With that he downed the Whiskey and poured another for himself, pausing to see if Serena would want the same. "This is actually a big deal for me. Honestly, not even my wife knows what half of this stuff is and you're either going think I'm a total whack job or you'll be as opened minded as I'm hoping you are." With that he gestured for her to open the box.

Inside was a type of sand or grain that looked like metal shavings. Nested in this bed of grains was a radiant cut gemstone that looked to be almost clear save for a purple cloud floating in it. What made the coloration even more remarkable was the fact that it was moving. Etched into the face of the stone were carefully planned geometric paths like a computer circuit each ending in a dot.

Roy explained, "You're one of 20 people on the planet who've seen that. And the only other person in this house to see it." He downed the shot and fixed another. "The elemental molecules that make up that stone do not exist in that combination anywhere else on the planet. Meaning..." He paused seeing if she could understand where he was going with this and maybe finish his statement.

As Roy said that was his goal, Serena nervously laughed and downed the shot before setting the shot glass down. Her gaze went over his well toned forearms and she couldn't help but notice how well the turtle neck showed his muscles. Her mind drifted to an image of her hands running over his chest before she pushed the thought away as Roy poured another shot for them both.

Downing that shot, she opened the box and peered in. Marveling at the gem, a small gasp left her lips. As Roy spoke, she leaned closer to it, taking in all the small details and not worrying about if her dress rode up a bit this time.

"Meaning this truly is a one of a kind gem! How did you come across this? Roy, this is monumental! Thank you for sharing it with me...but why? Is that actually moving?" There were so many questions that Serena wanted to ask but she didn't know where to begin so she just waited, looking between Roy and the gem. His cologne washing over her as he moved a little closer. "He is your boyfriend's father. He may be good looking and smell great but he is off limits." She reminded herself.

"Our best guess, is that someone found a way to take a meteor fragment and create an interface with it. The question is, what was it supposed to interface with. And the fact that it has not element of carbon in it, make it impossible to tell the age."

He moved around, behind Serena, letting his body brush against hers as he moved to take the gemstone from her hand. He also took that moment to breathe her in and resisted the urge to kiss the back of her neck.

"Watch this." he set it down in the box and pulled out his phone. Pulling up the music player he started looking for a song when Marion's voice called out, "We serving dinner!" And her tone was forceful and almost irritated.

"Oops." Roy said, closing the box lid, "To be continued. Come on. I'll show you what it can do later." He motioned for her to lead the way out of the room and glanced as his coat. As if dismissing it he waved at the rack it was hanging on and followed Serena. The delay gave her just enough lead time so he could watch her ass shift in her leather leggings without making it obvious that's why he wanted her to leave first.

Serena watched Roy pull out his phone but as Marion called for dinner, she sighed. "Yes, I can't wait to see what that does. I do hope that Josh and Mrs. Queens aren't upset that we've been up here so long."

As she stepped into the hallway, Serena headed down the stairs again, stopping briefly to admire the woodwork again. Stepping into the dining room, Josh put his arm around her and kissed her softly.

"Nah. They won't mind. I'm sure it gave my wife something to really grill Josh over." He chuckled and followed her. The kiss gave him a pang of envy and he almost leaned in to kiss Marion, but she was already in dinner hostess mode.

Dinner was good, the wine and conversation was fun. And afterwards there was still more wine. Roy seemed like he could really hold his liquor, but his wife and son were probably from a lighter wight stock. It was obvious that Marion was already drifting to sleep and Josh wasn't much further behind her.

Leaning over Roy quietly told Serena, "I think they're out for the night. We can call it or keep going. Ladies choice."

Serena looked over at Josh as his eyes slowly closed, his hand still on her thigh. "Since I'm staying here tonight now, might as well keep going. Josh was going to take me home but this will be more fun." Moving Josh's hand, she stood up and looked at Roy before fishing out her phone from her bra. Looking down at it, she frowned before locking her phone and putting it back and smiling at Roy.

"Are we going to go back upstairs or just stay here?"

Roy poured the rest of the wine into a glass for Marion, as if she would drink it in her sleep or the moment she woke up. Taking the bottle to the kitchen the held up a finger as if to say 'Watch this.' and dropped the wine bottle in the trash where it clinked with the rest of the bottles.

Without hushing his voice he said, "I don't know if it's a good thing that I can out drink my whole family or a bad thing. On the one hand, I feel I'm manly for holding my liquor and on the other hand I wonder if that just makes me a lush." He laughed and bit then answered Serena's question.

"Well, we could stay here and wait for them to wake up and shuffle off to bed. We have a digital library with all the best Christmas movies like 'Die Hard', 'Scrooged' and 'the Ref'. You know. The classics. Or you can see what that gem does when you play music around it. You're call."

He leaned against the wall and sipped the Blended Scotch and Coke he'd been drinking. He tried to act as if he hasn't just offered the difference between a doughnut and a master crafted french tart.

Serena chuckled and looked Roy up and I down. "Perhaps you are a manly lush." She laughed as she took a drink of her SoCo and Dr. Pepper.

As he went over the options, she smiled. "Screw the movie! Let's go back up to the gem." Laughing, she headed towards the stairs again. The alcohol made her laugh more as her guard started slipping. She had to keep chasing thoughts of Roy away. She was happy with Josh but Roy was so handsome and smart and he had the air of mystery around him that Josh could never have.

As Serena got to the stairs, she made sure to hold on to the handrail as she climbed them, not taking the time to admire the woodwork this time as she went. Feeling a soft buzz on her breast from her phone, her step faltered before she regained composure and she continued on to the room, waiting for Roy at the door.

Roy just grinned at Serena's compliment. They had been flirting back and fourth all night, and this was just one more little tease. When she picked returning to the study he resisted the urge to jump up and head there, desperate to get her alone again.

"After you." he gestured and followed, until she slipped a bit. He was there in an instant, hand on her hip and chest against her back. He asked, lips brushing hear ear, "You okay? You sure?" His tone was innocent and concerned, his body contact was just the opposite.

He let her pull away, feeling the lingering warmth of her on his chest and arm. He could feel himself stiffen more and had to take an awkward step or two as his erection pressed against his slacks. "It's not locked." He said, opening the door for her.

Following her in, he closed the door behind them. This time it would be fully closed and with a twist of his fingers he actually locked it to anyone trying to get in. The chance of anyone walking in here were slim, but he didn't want to have to think about that.

"Actually, why don't you do this." He moved around to the desk and positioned the box so she could open it. "If you have music on your phone you can play it near the gem."

When Serena would finally get sound playing near the gem an odd property overcame it. The purplish cloud would flex and pulse with the beat of the song. It wasn't like a liquid but as if the shape would pop and shift in an eye blink. At one point it started to look as if it was darkening. All the while Roy stood just inches behind Serena, watching it and her reaction.

As Roy steadied her on the stairs, she took a breath before answering. "Yes, I'm fine."

Entering the room, she walked over to the desk and took another sip from her drink. Missing the soft click of the lock, she looked over as Roy walked over to the desk. Her eyes running over Roy's body as he walked closer. When he told her to play music, she pulled her phone out and looked down. Seeing a message on her phone, her hands started to shake a little as her eyes darted up to Roy for a moment before clearing the backing out and going to her Playlist.

Picking the first song on her list, S&M by Rihanna sounds from her phone's speaker. Her eyes widen in amazement as she watches the gem react to the music. "How? That's amazing. It's moving and changing color to the music. Have you tried it with anything else?" The amazement covering up her shaken feeling from the text.

As she watched the gem, she could feel the heat coming off of Roy's body while he stood close. Despite everything, her hands still shook a little as her mind kept picturing the text. The words so bold in her mind. 'I will have you my pet. Your little boyfriend can't save you. The longer you make me wait, he more it'll hurt.' Serena shifted a little closer to Roy as the music played and she looked from the gem to him.

Roy watched and it took the gem about 15 seconds to really get animated. It was literally when the beat kicked in. The song made Roy stir, but he kept his beast down deep. "Nice song." He said, keeping the tone deep in his chest. The vibrations resonating against her back and the words flowing out like warmth against her ear.

Moving so he was looking over her other shoulder, changing the angle but not the closeness of his body. "As far as we can tell, it's memorizing the musical pattern. It's somehow changing itself. There should be a way to extract the changes and determine what it's learned. It only seems to work with music or digital sounds. It actually records vinyl records without the need for a speaker. It just feels the vibrations of the songs."

He stepped back a moment then put a hand on her back in comfort, "Are you okay? You seem tense." He used that as an excuse to use both hands to give her a shoulder and neck massage. His fingers were strong and powerful, a roughness to them under the lotion and skin care. These were hands that worked in harsh conditions but were cared for and now they were working on Serena's neck.
