I was wondering. We see these polls all the time in the US, but Lit is an international crowd. It'd be interesting to see the responses.

Okay, it's really easy to criticize. What other figure would people like to see in the Whitehouse in '04? I met the man, looked in his eyes, I know he's doing the best he can in this multifront situation. How'd anyone else handle it? I know if I had the authority, most of our opponents would be glowing for a couple of thousand years! :D

Considering that his broad characterization was that of bumbling, idiot, drunken, silver-spoon in his mouth and nose, duty-dodging, son of a liar whose father's friends purloined the election for him, I was forced to rate him excellent having proven to be the antithesis of all these things...

My approval rating of him rose after 9/11 but now I am returning to sanity. No, worse.

I loathe the current President.

I am more interested in who will be elected in 2008.

I do suspect that in the case of Dubya it will be a "like father, like son" affair.

I'd give him a B+ or A-. I think he sold out on the steel tariff to insure control of the House in November. And I don't think he's taking advantage of his popularity to push his agenda. Of course, Dashole is the most obstructionist majority leader in history. How many more days till he's the minority leader? 250 or so?

bumbling, idiot, drunken, silver-spoon in his mouth and nose, duty-dodging, son of a liar whose father's friends purloined the election for him,

That's pretty good. You forgot that his daughters drink beer. And that he works 3 hours a day and takes 6 week vacations.

But he can't be all bad if PP Man hates him.

BUMP

People vote, but no one comments, so I'm sending it back up.

I hate him. I think he is taking advantage of all distractions and pushing some legislation that would otherwise be struck down.

As a fiscal conservative, socially liberal Furriner... his stances sometimes scare the SHIT outta me.

When Bush, Sr. replaced Ray-Gun in office, many of us breathed a HUGE sigh of relief - that the shortfall nukes between Ray-Gun & Soviets weren't gonna happen. ;)

Dubbya reminds me more of Ronnie than he does his Dad. Time for you folk sto vote DECISIVELY upon a new Administration.

Well, you asked for International input... :D

Yes I did! Thanks for posting. I want as many divergent viewpoints as i can get on this. The fact that this site has members from around the world makes it the perfect place to have this kind of poll.

I cant wait until the next election, so I can vote democratic, But only if Hillary runs because shes the smartest women in the world:) I want my taxes raised, so that money can be taken from me to set up a government program to help some poor disadvantaged person learn how to play midnight basketball.By the next election we will be told that test scores in the schools are declining and we need more "investment" in the schools to help the children. And dont forget Social Security! We will be told its failing and something needs to be done to "fix it" and if you elect me I will get the job done. So Im voting straight Democrat this time around, cause I now know that their programs are the best:)

In a poll in the UK last week his approval was 60%.

Guess what, THEY DON'T HAVE TO LIVE WITH HIM!!!! My girlfriend is Scottish, and I myself lived in Britain for a while, but I don't get a say on how well the PM is doing, they don't get a say on how "Dubbya" is doing! When they are forced to live with his decisions, ask them again!

I voted A

But then I have stock in defense industries too.......sick em W.

Let's not forget our so-called tax "refund" checks from last year which turned out to be a lot of bullshit.

Fuck Bush

Good point. He does have a lot of pals involved there as well. Not mention energy.

Bush is doing okay in these trying times...however, I
can't wait til 2004..........Gore might run again.....but
who knows.......I recall that Hilary Clinton will not cut
her Senate term short to run in the election (she's waiting
for 2008)........I still think that Bush got in due to
conspiracy theory!

You bought bullshit with your tax return?

It was bullshit because it was an advance on our future refund not a rebate for money already taken. I would have opted to not have recieved it in the first place instead of having to pay it back this year.

I don't like to get into politics here, but just this once....
I detest George W Bush. He is a smug, smirking son of privilege, consumed by his own sense of entitlement.
Never, under any circumstances, will I accept the legitimacy of his occupation of the Presidency, an office to which he was not elected.

It was a rebate on the first half of 2001. You also got a tax cut on every check you got in the last half of the year. If you are married, it saved you $1200 that the government would have kept if Gore had been elected.

If you want a bigger refund, send me $3000 and I'll send it back to you in 14 months.

Dubya scares the ever lovin' shit oout of me. Last year the Nuclear Weapons Research at the Los Alamos National Lab underspent yes UNDER-SPENT their budget by $35 million dollars! This year Bush and Chaney have INCREASED the Nuclear Weapons Testing budget! WTF! Meanwhile valuable fuel cell research that could eliminate our dependance on ugly inefficient dirty fossil fuels is moving painfully slow with virtually NO funding! Damn oil men with power!

And that is just a snapshot of the plethora of bundling idiocracies of this administration. Let's not even get started on Foriegn Affairs or the bogus Faith Based Initiative, what the Hell happened to seperation of Church and State?

Ah, but we do - USA is the ONLY superpower,
