Bushido Order: Enter The Samurai
This is a thread similar to Naruto, but it takes place in a different world with characters that have alternate personalities and roles, plus it's based on Samurai, not Ninja. Here is the Map Site, where you'll find all kinds of maps for the world of Nurion. This game centers around the current map of the continent of Farland.
There are many martial arts training facilities in the world, but twenty-four of them are part of the RSB (Registered Schools of Bushido). Usually, Master Samurai who sense a high concentration of mitochondria in youngsters offer them a chance to become apprentices at the school the Master represents. The Master spends a few months teaching the prospective apprentice a few basics he'd need for the Entrance Exam, and upon passing the test, the child is admitted and becomes a Junior Apprentice.
When a Junior Apprentice reaches his mid-teens, he usually becomes a Senior Apprentice, and between ages 18 and 21, he takes the Samurai Selection Exam. During this event, each Bushido School gives all their Senior Apprentices a written test. The five who score the highest at each school are permitted to move on to the real exam, together as a team (this number will change if we get more than five players). They go to the Bushido Arena in Far City, and the five-person teams from the twenty-four schools face some sort of threat that changes every year. In the end, only six teams can claim their full Samurai status.
Master Samurai are the elite of Bushido. Only the best of the best ever attain this rank. Higher than them is the Headmaster of each school. Higher than the Headmasters is the High Council, made up of eleven Masters and the Grandmaster of the Bushido Order.
So, my idea for this game is that we are all between 18 and 21, Senior Apprentices, and soon we're going to have a shot at the Samurai Selection Exam. But it's also about the romance that develops between them.
Kandalts School of Bushido in Dragonspur City is the setting. The school campus will be explained in my first post in the RP thread.
The Art of Bushido has many forms, from using your mitochondria to increase your speed and agility, to powering up your strength and dexterity, to moving things with your mind and energy, to summoning and controlling the elements, to forming your own special techniques.
Just post your characters here using the same format as mine. Since we're still young apprentices, we should only have two or three special techniques unique to us.
BTW: This is a modern world setting.
