Bush said "shit"

So what? He called a reporter an "asshole" once, too. Just because you use grown-up words doesn't make you a grown-up. I had for him a long time ago. I wish that I had never voted for the bastard.

Needing to use profanity to get your point makes you a grown-up? But I get your point. The Shrub probably still sits at the kid's table on family holidays.

I've got no love for Blair either, but in his defense, he did look like he was about ready to puke or cry while trying to talk sense to that moron. Dealing with him has got to be like banging one's head against a brick wall.

Thinking of a line from Peggy Noonan about Ronny Raygun.

"Fighting for the mind of Reagan was like the trench warfare of WWI. Never have so many fought so bitterly over such barren ground." :D

Omg, that's perfect. And what scares me is that, in retrospect, Reagan is beginning to seem brilliant in comparison. Everybody run!

We've gone far too long without a fresh invasion, you know. I was rooting for N. Korea, but Syria would be a lot more convenient....;)

I didn't know that we had any oil under Syria's sand?

Did Sadam send the undiscovered WMD over to Syria?

How long has Osama been in Syria?

So what that W said, SHIT. He's been full of it since day one, so it was bound to squeeze out sooner or later!

I did feel so sorry for him from that video-clip. He really looked as though he might cry. I wouldn't've blamed him.

And who is he going to use to do that? Considering how much of the US Armed Forces are currently tied up in Iraq.

He probably wants to do another 'Mission Accomplished' photo op. There is an election coming up and Presidents that win wars tend to win elections. And those flight suits are such fun to wear.

well, I just thank God, he is not eligible to run again!! but he has brothers, muawahahaha :(

He's at his most statesmanlike when he's chewing and talking at the same time.

What I found most disturbing about that video wasn't Monkeyboy's crude manners, but (a) the fact that I don't expect any better from him and would be surprised if anyone did and (b - make that a capital B) this thought:

"Sweet Jesus. What looks like an annual meeting of bored, resentful, scheming middle managers is actually a gathering of the most powerful people in the world and eight politicians who owe them everything."

"WTF is wrong with the rest of us," my inner monologue added rhetorically, "that we allow a few, mediocre-to-smart men and women on a power binge to steer the planet?"

And then, "SHIT! Isn't that George W. Bush?! The second-smartest and third most ambitious Bush brother? What's he doing there?! He could do some serious damage if he's allowed to talk to any world leaders!"

Cartoons in the British press have be sneeringly commenting for the last 40 years* on the "special relationship" between the British PM and the U.S. President.

It was gratifying, if a little disturbing, to see on video just how accurate those cartoons have been.

*41 years, actually:

*burp*

Actually, no.

'Cause if you're going to be that fucking self-righteous you should live up to your values.

yeah... yeah...yeah... I know Mr. TV Evagenlist, you're really sorry you got caugh... er, I mean, that you were weak and your secretary was so hot. THE WHORE!!!

Sincerely,
ElSol

I feel sorry for him, too. Not only does he have to deal with this ugly American President--the stupidest and, arguably, the worst in U.S. history, he has to be the ugly American's bitch....And that's probably all he's going to be remembered for when all is said and done.

I'm surprised he hasn't slit his wrists.

The context was interrupting Tony Blair, who was trying to offer him some pretty good advice (much as I hate the bastard, he has got a talent for this kind of thing) about the Middle East conflict. The words were, "Really, all we've got to do is put pressure on Syria to get Hezbollah to stop this shit."

Obviously completely ignoring what his 'special' friend was saying. <rolls eyes>

The Earl

The news then focused on what? that he said a bad word. Not the obvious lack of any intellegent thought about forien relations.

The American Public, mostly being just as ignorant and uninformed probably thought that it counted as an *intellegent response*

Bush is now qualified to buy a newspaper from the convienience store I used to work at. (not sure if he's qualified to read it)

As [George HW Bush's] anger flared after his televised debate with Ferraro, Bush was quoted as saying that he had "tried to kick a little ass last night."

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

I guess Barbara never washed W's mouth out with soap as a child. Nor taught him that rubbing a female colleague's shoulders is belittling.

"Well, Pinky, we're going to do what we do every night. Plot to take over the world!"
