Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Nov. 27 - After Jean Chretien was declared the obvious winner of the election that took place November 27, all across Canada, George W. Bush refuses to recognise the freshly elected leader of Canada because all the ballots were hand counted. The Bush team announced its intention of going to court to invalidate all results or even to force Canadians to find a way to do a machine recount.

"This is ridiculous! I can't understand why they trust real people to keep their democracy going when they can use state of the art machines coming straight from the '60s." exclaimed Bush. "They use some pitiful system with a pencil and a piece of paper. They practice a bizarre ritual, marking an 'X' in the middle of a circle to mark their choice; those Europeans have a very strange and frightening system." When a journalist explained to him that Canada is not in Europe but in fact shares the biggest American border north of the country, Bush exclaimed "Don't start again with your international fuzzy remarks. In Texas we know our geography, I was simply mixed-up with Australia."

Canadian officials immediately returned fire with economic sanctions, stopping all exports of Molson Golden, comedians, and Celine Dion CDs toUSA.

Gore announced that his team preferred that Canadians do a meticulous hand recount in case they found any votes for him. ;)

If I read ONE more election thread...I'm takin' a hostage.

Oh weaver of written words ...

that would have been a funny post you wrote ... except well geez there were no smiley faces ...

i happen to think that joke was really funny ... especially because of the Canadian elections ...

i sure hope you weren't serious .... :)

I think the funniest thing about that post...

is the idea that Bush (or any other American) even knows the outcome of the Canadian election, much less cares enough to complain about it.

I thought Canada was a colony of England.. What are they voting for?
