Bumper Sticker Philosphy

I just drove back from Georgia and saw a lot of good ones, unfortunately I'm too tired to remember them. I like reading them, but won't put one on my car.

Ummmm nice av lewd...

A bumper sticker I saw many years ago has stuck in my mind ever since: Rugby Players Eat Their Dead.

Also saw an interesting vanity license plate once: QQQQ

"Pave the bay!" (a reacton to the save the bay campaign when they were trying to clean up the chesapeak I think)

"Will the last American out of Miami please remember to bring the flag?"

(On the back of a badly dented and scarred monte carlo) Urban Assault Vehicle (done up like the logo for the movie stripes)

(Election year Bush sr.) What real man wouldn't vote for bush?

Warning I go from 0 to bitch in .8 seconds!

If you don't like my driving, stay off the sidewalk!

Stay Back! I have a gun and PMS

All time favorite:

I hope you're insured, cause I'm not!

However, after reading the thread about what countries find what jokes funny, this should only appeal to Aussies and Kiwis.

Ya think? Don't let the gun control advocates dominate your impression of America. In theory, I myself am in favor of a little gun control, in that I don't see any reason why a private citizen needs a machine gun, but these people who want only the police to have guns are out in left field. We all know that this isn't going to happen. It simply creates a situation where the bad guys have guns, the good guys don't, and the police take more than an hour to respond, by which time, you're dead. Any place where a law-abiding citizen can't own a gun without crossing over from the group of law-abiding citizens to the criminal classes, automatically sees a rise in muggings and home-invasion robberies.

And that reminds me--I saw on another thread where someone said that 10x more Americans get killed by gunfire than anywhere else. Please! Consideration #1, we've got more than 10x people than anywhere else. Consideration #2, was a distinction made between (a) Criminals offing each other, (b) Hapless citizens being shot by criminals, and (c) criminals getting shot up in the act of raiding someone's home, as they damn well deserve? I'll bet not.

At present I don't feel the need to own a gun, although I have had a gun in the past. But if I wanted to go and purchase a gun this week, I would be very appreciative of my right to do so. And I'd be sure to use it responsibly.

Sorry. More Americans than any similar number of people in Europe get killed by gunfire.

More Americans per 100,000 population get killed in gun accidents than in any European country.

Gun control means using both hands.

Gun Control: Hitting the 10-ring.

When gun are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.

And my favorite:

Ted Kennedy has killed more people with his car than I have with my handgun.

Guns don't kill children.
Children kill children.

One of my faves has always been...

If God doesn't want us to eat animals, why did He make them taste so good?

And the always classic...

If you can read this I can slam on my brakes and sue your ass.
