I use Hotmail, which now has an inbox filter which sends all spam directly to a spam folder (Spam in this case being any mail where your Email address does not appear in the To:, CC:, Or BCC: fields as most spam is sent out in masses, and is not addressed to you personally.)

Unless a heading really catches my attention, I delete all spam without looking, so I may have gotten rid of that, but seeing as how your address appeared in the Email, if it had been sent to me, it would have gone to my main Inbox... not my spam folder.

So I would have to say that I haven't gotten that Email.... Yet.

This one I noticed because somehow the person had managed to "pass around" the filter ...

I have gotten it twice. The first time was about two weeks ago, and again this morning.

There was no attachment, but it does have some active-X controls imbedded in it.

I was getting spam at my Lit address before I had my email in my profile.

I had one the other day that said it had been delivered to my because of my agreement with the Terms of Service with the provider. I'm guessing that it's just like junk mail that arrives in the mail box. Somewhere there is a database that gets sold and re-sold.

We own a bunch of domain names that were dropped by their original owners, and we have the emails for those domains pointed at our Eudora inbox. We literally get hundreds of pieces of spam a day, sometimes 50 or so of the same spam, sent to various emails on our domains. I have to sort through my trash at least once a week or Eudora bogs down. The ones that are actually in Chinese are my favorites - they crash my Eudora more often than not. I have a Hotmail account that's pretty spammy as well. It's unavoidable, no matter where you are. Gotta love it!

As far as the Literotica.org email - it's done through a third party company. We've had some fights with them over them popping console ads on mail users in the past. They are certainly not supposed to be spamming our users, and I'll drop them an email to that effect. In the future, we have dreams of moving all email addresses to our servers so that these problems don't come up. It will cost us more, but I think it will be worth it once we get the new site scripts in place. Again, I'll email BigMailBox and give 'em hell. Do let me know when things like this come up.

Have you seen Calypso's email clients? You can find them at http://www.mcsdallas.com and I believe, http://www.calypsoemail.com

You can make as many seperate email boxes as you need, each with as many accounts as you want, each with it's own filter rules. Same as you, I get new spam every freakin' day, but I never have to see repeats. Wish stopping the endless forwarded jokes was as easy!
