Budweiser Super Bowl Ad: Ugly Americans Harass Hero Immigrant

Hmm! It looks like he got his official paperwork stamped. He didn't come in illegally and hide in my neighbors garage.

Most migrants come in legally on planes. They then overstay, illegally (on their tourist visas) usually as guests of their friends and relatives.

I have wondered a few times whether the law and the application of it should be applied more efficiently against the people who offer accommodation.

I just want to mindlessly watch football and maybe see Betty White eat a snickers bar. Beer sucks. It tastes like I imagine carbonated urine would taste.

America is HORRIBLE, and white men are EVIL!! Born to oppress it's all they know!!

And another reason to never drink that piss!
If you want to boycott them, they've got a few other brands. Corona, Stella Artois, Beck's, Leffe, Hoegaarden, Skol, Brahma, Antarctica, Quilmes, Victoria, Modelo Especial, Michelob Ultra, Harbin, Sedrin, Klinskoye, Sibirskaya Korona, Chernigivske, Cass and Jupiler. They have bottling contracts with Pepsi, Lipton and Gatorade, and distribution rights for Bacardi.

Why are you so ashamed of American history?

Not surprisingly, you missed the entire point of the article. Because I like you, I'm willing to show you a little love. Before I do, I need a favor. Ready? I need you to open your closed mind, take off your tin foil hat & let the love flow.

The point of the article is to remind us that mixing sports & politics is a recipe for disaster. Nothing more, nothing less.

No need to thank me, Sparky. I enjoy educating the low information voters.

Oh, I see. I saw something about immigrant hero and ugly Americans and I thought you may have taken offense to the reality of many immigrants who have entered the US (legally). I, after reading the article, definitely will not vote for Adolphus Busch in 2020. You have my word.

I think we just had a kumbaya moment.

Damn it, I already don't consume any of their poison.....wish I could boycott them some other way.

I know, VIOLENCE!!!

Now THAT is some legit peaceful protesting! The Democrat way

Congrats, Peenix. You actually got a response to one of your threads. One out of ten ain't bad.

How is this any disaster? I doubt very much this ad will hurt Bud's sales, throw any players off their game, provoke any riots, or cause any other undesirable consequence of any kind.

Well, most bud drinking football watching M'aricans?

Ain't die hard D's.....

I doubt very much this ad will hurt Bud's sales,

The Dixie Chicks thought the same thing when they went and trashed their consumers.

throw any players off their game, provoke any riots, or cause any other undesirable consequence of any kind.

Well no, we aren't talking about SJ Democrats here......so the odds of violence and rioting are pretty slim.

Injecting politics where it doesn't belong damages the very thing it touches.

Players will play, fans will watch. Nobody's going to tune out the Superbowl because it's politicized, and so what if they do? It's just sports. It isn't important. Politics are important, sports are not. Nothing more important than a bet ever depends on the outcome of a game. And the foregoing sentence should be inscribed in big shining letters over the entrance to every locker room in the world.

"Politics are important, sports are not."

Without realizing it, you just proved my point.

Indeed, as if the NFL isn't already learning that. And if the league thinks that the Bud commercial isn't going to spill over on them, no matter what denials the league makes, they're nuts.

I've spent this season boycotting the NFL and those sponsors that I know are regular advertisers. As it turns out I haven't missed them a bit. And I won't be watching the Super Bowl either. (Do you think that maybe, just maybe, that Gaga is going to make a political statement?)

I will, God help me, be pulling for the Patsies in the background though. Not because some of the team members voted for Trump, but because of how bat shit crazy the press went because they did.

Given the recent, and growing, trend in the sportscasters to try to inject politics into every possible dialog I wonder if there will be anywhere left to go that I won't be barraged by a ceaseless cascade of politics. Regardless of my reputation on this board politics is not my end all, be all in life. People might be surprised as to how little of my time it consumes.
